JamBow: Forced To Live Inside The Game
Chapter 2: First Time Playing the JamBow Game

Chapter 2: First Time Playing the JamBow Game

Brrr!!! The sound of my alarm trying to wake the sleeping log that I am. My body feels heavy. It's still early, we don't even have class todayyy.... why can't it be quiet! I stood up from my slumber to silence the ravaging alarm of my phone which renders my sleep to ruin.

Oh! I see! I forgot to remove the alarm clock I set every weekday.

I don't want to narrate too much about myself but I can't help it.

"Oh.." a notification showed up on my lock screen after turning on my mobile data. It's from deezcord.

"Don't be late! come to the server right now!"

"Huh!! What in the world!! She's too bossy!"

I walked downstairs, slowly, sneaking to grab some breakfast. "You're up early!" Mom looked at me in surprise, "Perhaps, are you getting over that habit of yours?"

"I just forgot to turn off the alarm last night..."

I ate some breakfast before going back upstairs.

On my way to my room, I encountered my younger sister. She was a mess. Bed hair, dried drool on her face, wrinkled oversized clothes, and her rubbing her eyes. "..mm..mmoorniing..." she walked past me to stairs before walking downstairs.

I went inside my room, laid down on my bed, and put on the VR console.

Even inside the VR environment, we can still see the real world thanks to the camera function. I resized it, small enough to just see when the door opens.

I ran the game I installed yesteryesterday.

2.1

I was summoned to another world as a normal human being, arriving at an unfamiliar world, fear dominated me. I looked around, everywhere, looking for the very people who dragged me into this world. I don't know what to do.

Next to me is a water fountain. People are appearing around it, just like myself.

At the very top corner of my status tab which follows the movement of my head, there are status about myself. HP 100%, SP 100%, AP 100%, MP 100%, EXP 0%, and a button with a question mark icon. I can seem to toggle the status tab off and on just by thinking about it.

Upon clicking the button, a screen showed up in the middle of my vision. It doesn't follow me, and I can carry it and move it around.

The screen displayed some intriguing information.

"HP or Health Percentage is fixed and cannot be increased except special cases. SP or Stamina Percentage can be improved through stamina training. AP or Amor Percentage can be increased through armors. MP or Mana Percentage can be increased through the use of certain tools and items."

There's more... "Weapon damage depends on various complex factors. Everything works just like in real life..." Eh~.

Ouch!

"You're too excited aren't you?" I turned around, it's the smile girl slapping me on the back.

"You told me to come right now." She looks so different, a whole world different. Her assets are larger here, when I said large, I mean large. Extra large! "I never thought you are bigger here." Oh shoot!!

"Huh!? What do you mean by that!!?"

"N-nothing! Ehe ehe!"

Anyway, Shina looks very manly in this game.

"Wait, how are we talking?" I asked.

"Because we're near each other. Accept the invitation okay?" A screen popped up. "A party request arrived from Lia. Would you accept it or not?" I clicked accept.

"Shina behind me can now hear us, even if he's far."

"I see."

"The femboy atmosphere is gone," I murmured. "Let's get going. I have to catch up to your level, Lia."

"No. You level up yourself. We're going down a dungeon today."

"Eh!!!!!"

I watched them as they depart, disappearing right in front of me in a flash of light.

It seems like the inventory screen is only visible to me. I took out a pouch of gold coins from my inventory which is stuck on the palm of my hands. My current balance is a hundred gold coins.

I made my way towards the weapon shop right in front of the spawn. The shop is made out of wooden materials, and so are the rest of the town. The design of all the buildings are very simple with very few decorations such as a mimicry of plants, vines, etc., made out of wood.

The windows are made out of glass. I launched my fist towards a window of the store right in front of me. My hand bounced back, a force seem to prevent us from harming anything here.

Upon entering the shop, I was greeted by a... an old man. "What are you looking for, young man?" The old man looked at me, squinting his eyes.

"Let me choose for a while." Is this really a game? Everything are super high resolution! Would my console explode!!?

Among the displayed weapons, I cannot choose a single one. "You seem to be having a trouble choosing, youn lad," now it's young lad huh.

"Uh.. eheh," scratching my head. "Ah! I can't seem to choose between these two," pointing over two single-edged swords. "I want the more expensive one but I only have 54 gold coins..." I opened my coin pouch, looking inside. "Ah! Wait! It's 60 gold coins... I only have 60 gold coins.." I looked down in disappointment.

"I'll give you a discount young man," the old man smiled.

I managed to get a discount of 40 gold coins. Yeepee!!

"Thank you very very much!! I'll definitely pay you back someday!!"

"Uh, no it's fine."

I waved bye to him before walking out of the store, closing the door behind me.

A button with a magnifying glass icon is afloat above the item. Upon clicking it, a set of information showed up.

"Steel Sword

- Creator: Skilms

- Blade Material: Steel Alloy

- Sharpness Scale: 3

- Durability Scale: 5"

I still don't understand this game.

Above my status screen is my level, I'm still a level 1 player. I mean I just arrived in this world.

"Uh... Hello! Can I ask a question?" I asked, tapping the arm of a random guy who seemed to be kind enough to answer my question.

"Yes?" He turned around before looking downwards at me.

"How do I level up?"

"Oh. You're still level 1... Just go there," he instructed, pointing towards a certain forest, "Just enter there and kill as many mobs as you can, even if you die you'll just respawn so don't worry."

"Thank you..." I bow my head to him before walking towards the location he pointed at, still holding the sword I bought earlier.

Before heading out to the forest nearby. I walked inside an armor shop. Upon stepping my foot inside and closing the door behind me, a small young girl greeted me. "Hello customer! What do you want?" She's so cute!!!

There are some other players around, probably here to buy as well.

I approached a shelf containing chest plate armors. One of them caught my attention.

"Steel Chest Armor

- Creator: Skilms

- Material: Steel Alloy

- Armor Scale: 5

- Durability Scale: 10

- Cost: 60 gold coins."

It's the same creator.

With a lack of funds, I walked out of the store without buying anything. That Skilms guy always has the most expensive and strongest stuff at those stores... probably.

"I guess it's time to farm some experience."

2.2

Upon stepping inside the forest nearby, a strong breeze welcomed me. Sound of leaves bustling, birds chirping, and all kinds of sounds surrounded me.

I looked back towards the direction I came from. However, the path from which I came from was gone. It was gone.

I am surrounded by trees, plants and all kinds of living creatures. Everything looks clear, my vision is better in this world in comparison to my eye in real life.

Everything feels so vivid, more vivid than the real world.

Looking around, I spotted something. Under a tree in front of me. A structure which seem to be a pinkish coral growing out from one of the branches of a tree is housing hundreds or even thousands of bees, flying around. There, just under it.

A huge hovering creature is there, staring directly at me, completely motionless. It's black hairy body complements its red luster eyes, parabola shaped wings with its openings facing downwards, it is as motionless as itself.

It's body is strangely straight horizontally. In human terms, its chest and all parts of that side are strangely flat as if it had been pressed on a table during its making.

Strange, there's a patch of dirt directly under its wings with no grass growing. And a trail behind it with the same properties wrapping around a tree.

Above the said giant creature, a name is visible along with a green bar under it. "Jigsaw Battle Bee Lv 3." the name said.

I approached it, prepared to fight. I swung my sword at it, slicing the air not reaching the target. The bee's suppo 100sed to be flat body, curved, bringing its stinger inside my chest, piercing through me, killing me.

The forest that were right in front of me disappeared, replaced by a view of the town from which I just came from. The sound of the familiar splashing of water came into my ears.

I sprinted back to the forest. Attempted multiple times at killing it but to no avail, I can't. I'm not capable enough.

I am panting, catching my breath after I died. My SP is very low. It did not recover after death.

Wait!! Wait! What!!!?? My exp has risen up!!? It's 16.5%!! How!!?

A guy covered in a black hoodie holding a bow came out of a dark alley.

I wonder what he did there... did he just use it as shortcut or something?

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.

The dark alley stinks. As if something rotting is there. Slowly, I walked inside. The space is too narrow for two person to walk next to each other. As I got in deeper and deeper, the space is getting narrower.

"Hello there," a person barely visible appeared in front of me. He raised his hand waving, smiling.

"Hello. What's this place? I got lost."

"Oh my! That's bad news~" he placed his hand over his mouth covering it, spaces between each fingers. He acted shocked. "Just kidding. You're a customer right? Come follow me." He turned to me his back before walking.

"Uh.. right..."

After a few seconds of walking with him at lead, the alley now got too narrow, my shoulders are now scraping the walls of the alley making me unable to walk without being a crab. The suspicious person stopped walking. "We are here."

"Uh... I..."

"Hmmm?" By then did I just realized that the ground is shaking. The walls are getting taller and taller. The ground below us is sinking, deeper and deeper.

Then, a few seconds after..

Bam! A light shone at us, forcing me to close my eyes after a few minutes of darkness. The ground from which we just sunk in with went back upwards, held by a strong looking metal rod.

"Now then, I wonder what would my new customer choose this time... Hihihi!" The suspicious person giggled.

He or she has a long straight black hair, clean bangs, skinny body type in a business suit. A smiling face is shown as a front, a piercing staring sharp eyes. Along with a river like movements which seem to flow smoothly with no energy wasted.

"Are you a boy or a girl?"

"Woah! An unexpected question! But sorry, I'm not for sale." She giggled.

There's a bump on that chest. I guess...

"Uh, what do you sell here?" I explored the place with my eyes but I am met with yellowish walls and orange light bulbs.

"Sorry! I forgot to reveal it." She walked next to a wall on my left, far away from me. "Are you perhaps a level below 10?"

"Y-yes! I'm level 1.."

"Oohh! Now that's a rare type of customer," she giggled. "I normally get like level 20 to level 10 customers here. The cost requires that high of a level after all."

Then, I shouldn't be here.

A counter appeared in front of her. Swords on the walls, on stands, on tables. Different types of weapons, and armors. With some weird objects placed among them, some looked like a jar of goo, while some are just bones.

She approached me.

"Now then, come." She doesn't have a cursor above her head. So... she's an NPC.

I followed her to the counter. She gave me a form to fill up. It's paper.

I clicked the form before typing in my username 'Mei Day'.

"After you fill it all up, I need a sample of your blood."

Ehh!

After filling up the whole form, she took out a syringe. Blood which should not exist in this game is getting sucked out of my arm. Strange, I don't feel a thing. Not a hint of fear in contrast to my real body.

"Uh... do I get a weapon here or something?"

"Yes you do. A deadly weapon both for you and your enemy."

Eek! She keeps grinning...

"Now! Choose which one you want!... Everything you see here is... all suitable TO you.."

The amount of equipments around dwindled down.

"Scutia Body Armor

- Ability: Absorb 100% damage every 60 seconds

- Creator: Skilms

- Materials: Steel Alloy, Kelvac, Sophier

- Armor Scale: 10

- Durability Scale: 20

- Cost: 1000 gold coins"

"What!!! This is too expensive!! I can't afford these!!"

"Don't worry sir. We offer loan services! It's our specialty, and it's illegal in this town," she smiled showing me both her palm.

"Vladimir's Knife

- Ability: Heals 1% of user HP per hit on target

- Creator: Skilms

- Blade Materials: Vladimir's Fang

- Sharpness Scale: 5

- Durability Scale: 10

- Cost: 180 gold coins

Auto-refill Mana Bottle

Glass Flame Staff Pointer

- Ability: Shoots out flame. Consumes user's mana.

- Creator: Jamada Flask

- Materials: Glass

- Durability Scale: 1

- Cost: 80 gold coins"

"I'm buying it all."

"Good decision. Now then, let me calculate it for you." She walked back to the counter.

This game is very strange. Everything is strange. It's so confusing. I might have gotten scammed here. No. That guy probably came from here to buy an equipment. They are probably those who lack money like me. But, how did they even discovered this place? I don't understand.

"...sir! Sir!"

"Uh... Sorry."

"It's 1760 gold coins in total," she looked at me still grinning. "Want to do loan?"

"Yeah."

"We get 20% interest from loan for weekly pay for a year. So if 20% of 1760 is 352.... There's 10 months in a year JC. 35 days in a month JC, 10 months is 50 weeks JC. So.. 1760 plus 352 is...."

She's not that good at math.

"It's 2112 gold coins. 2112 divided by 50 is 42.24 gold coins."

"Wow! You're smart!" She clapped her hands together. It just irritated me. "50 silver coins is 1 gold coin. So... You have to pay.... um...." Her eyes are looking up, her mouth mumbling something along with her fingers counting.

"Use the calculator."

"Ah!! That's right! I almost forgot!"

Face slap. How did she survived being this bad.

"Eh!! That's weird. There's an extra! With this I can't convert it to copper coin! Argh!!" She yapped. "Ooh~ seems like I just made a minor mistake."

Minor mistake? It literally just messed up your whole calculation!

"You have to pay 42 gold coins and 12 silver coins every week!" she shouted, as if we're very far away.

I walked towards her. A paper came out of a small box, it makes a printing sound.

The fluid movement she had earlier had vanished. Her hands shaking as she handed me the receipt of my purchase, "Here's the receipt."

"Can I pay the first payment tomorrow? I used it all up," I asked scratching the back of my head.

"Yes you can. Just go back here when you pay."

"Thank you very much," She bow down to me. The ground from which I came from earlier made its way down.

I hopped on. The lights from the store continuously disappeared bit by bit as I made my way up.

I'm back in the dark alley.

2.3

I'm back at the forest.

Walking down the path I always go through when challenging the Jigsaw Battle Bee, things have changed. The pinkish coral like structure which seem to grow out of a branch of a tree is still there existing without its guard, the Jigsaw Battle Bee. It's gone.

Kssssss!!! What's that sound!?

Suddenly, a warning tab appeared on my view.

"Warning! Left shoulder damaged 4%."

"Warning! Left shoulder damaged 4%."

"Warning! Left shoulder damaged 5%."

I dug my Vladimir's Knife at my left shoulder. It stuck onto something. It's a slithering black thing. Pulling it off is in vain, it won't come off.

My HP has gone down by 20%.

I stab, stab, stab, stab stab stab, stab, stab it. It died. My HP recovered to it's fullest.

A tab appeared.

"Monster Wiki: New Monster Discovered

Jumping Leech

—It jumps at its prey sneakily, causing no pain as it sucks its target dry. Without limbs, it uses its whole body to launch itself upwards to reach its desired part of the victim."

After reading it, I closed it off. An item dropped on my shoulder, "Jumping Leech Meat" a weird item. It looks like a strong meat.

"Should I proceed deeper?"

Everywhere, trees, trees dominate most of the landscape. Some creatures are just there, staring at me. Most are at level 2. I don't want to mess with them.

This is freaky! Everything is too realistic. Is this realism really that necessary?

The forest is getting darker, the sun is nowhere to be seen. I looked over at the two clocks at the right bottom of my status tab. "06:09 02/26/2075 | 12:09 04/16/047 JC"

It's still early but it's already sunset here.

How do I get back?

I don't know how to get back. I only managed it by dying, I have no other ways of going back. Is there anything else I can do?

I clicked the help button above my status tab. Checking every sections, scanning through articles but there is not a single hint on how do I get back from this place. If only there's a call function.

The forest became darker and darker as time passed by until everything is pitch black. There's no longer any visible matter around me. I can't move around in this darkness.

I stood still, stuck. Unable to move.

"Warning! Poison inflicted."

"Warning! Right leg damaged 50%."

"Wait! What!!?" I swung my sword around my right leg. Instead of hitting something else, I hit myself.

"Warning! Right leg damaged 100%."

I fell down on my side. My right leg isn't moving even just a centimeter no matter how much I try. Everything around is still pitch black.

I'm scared! I don't want to die!

"Warning! Right torso damaged 10%."

"Warning! Right torso damaged 40%."

"Warning! Torso damaged 100%."

"Warning! Paralysis."

"Warning! Left leg damaged 100%."

"Warning! All limbs damaged 100%."

"Warning! Extremely low health."

"Warning! Extremely low health."

"Warning! Extremely low health."

"Warning! Fatally low health."

I'm dying!!!

My pitch black surroundings suddenly got replaced by an illuminated town from which I came from. Lamps are everywhere, lighting up the whole town every corner.

That probably took 10 years of my life!

Luckily, I did not wear my Scutia Body Armor. I don't want to spend money on fixing it.

It's nighttime and I don't know what to do.

"This game is too difficult for me. I haven't experienced any physical fights in my life. I'm very unsuited to this game..." sigh.

Two people are approaching me from the side. Red cursor? My first time seeing one.

"What's with the red cursor?" I asked.

"Oh! We just killed someone annoying. Don't worry, he just respawned," Liliana answered, holding a double edged sword.

"Yeah, someone annoying," Shina added.

They turned around before walking away. They seem to be heading towards an inn.

Someone annoying? He just respawned? No way...

Feeling like I am in danger, I walked towards a building which seem to be an eatery. There are two tables outside with two people eating on one of them.

Once I walked inside, I was greeted by one of the staff carrying a tray containing some food, "Welcome! Please find a seat!"

Most of the staffs are NPC.

"Here," one of them approached me and handed me a menu after sitting down on a seat next to the exit.

"Dinner set — 2 SC

Water — 20 CC

Fried Chicken — 45 CC

Rice — 34 CC

Heavy Dinner Set —10 SC

..."

"What's CC and SC?"

"It's copper coins and silver coins, sir."

"I see." These are cheap! Wait no! I'm going broke, I still have a loan to pay and I only have 40 gold coins left!

"Um.. can I ask something?" I asked.

"Yes?"

"Where do I sell a meat of jumping leech?"

"J-j-jumping leech!!"

"Is it not sellable?"

"Uh.. no. It's just that.. no one buys it. It tastes awful. And it's too tough to coo..k.." she looked around before adding "but I heard a rumor that there's someone who buys it for unknown reasons," she whispered next to my ear.

"So.. uh.. where do I..?"

"If you go to an alley next to us holding a jumping leech meat, walk straight then a person will greet you. He will then lead you somewhere unknown."

Hmmm...

"Thanks for the info. So... I'll take 1 water and a dinner set."

"Order received!" She did a salute before walking over the counter.

While waiting for my food to arrive, I scanned my surroundings. All customers are players. My seatmate across me is a small petite girl. A black collar is around her neck along with a bell hanging down to her chest.

She's eating the same thing I ordered just now. She looks like she's enjoying it.

I watch her eating. Ah~ this is relaxing for some reason. What could be more peaceful than this~.

"Sorry for the wait!" The food I ordered arrived.

I paid the correct sum and enjoyed my meal.

2.4

Survival needs aren't needed in this game. After my enjoyable meal, I went ahead to enter the only shop with visible lights coming from the inside in exception to the eatery I just came from.

"John's Necessity Store."

I walked inside, slowly, suspiciously.

"Welcome! Are you here to buy a flashlight?" Asked the store tender.

"Y-yeah.. how did you know?" I closed the door behind me.

"Well, you see. Most who walks in at this hour are here to buy a flashlight or even a battery of it."

That's weird. Don't they only have lamps? This game is really weird.

"Is it.. durable? How long would it last?"

"We offer 3 different types," he bent down, disappearing. "Here," he presented three different flashlights on the counter.

"We have a penlight for precise illumination, a normal flashlight and a lamplight." He slid a slider on a wall lowering the light level inside the store. "Look," he grabbed the lamplight before clicking a button on the handle with his thumb.

The lamplight illuminated the whole room in a cool white light.

"This is about 600 lumens, with the battery it has, it would last at least 4 hours of constant use." He turned it off.

"If you don't want to buy a lot of batteries, I recommend just buying a normal flashlight," he turned it on. "This one is about 600 lumens as well," it only illuminated a certain area. "This one could last at most, 10 hours of constant use."

"I see."

"But this penlight," he turned it on after turning off the normal flashlight. "This one is also 600 lumens but it could last 2 days of constant use." He turned it off, slid the slider bringing back the brightness of the store. "Normally no one buys this one except for some few customers who need it for precise illumination."

I need to see my whole surroundings.

"Well, then.. I'll take the lamplight and 3 batteries."

"That's 7 gold coins and 24 silver coins, sir."

I paid him and left the store.

I walked over to the spawn, then faced the water fall.

"I'm going to be honest. I feel like this game is so boring! I kept dying!!" inhales.

"Can't I be like those in isekai anime!!!! Nonsensically overpowered sheatty protagonists!!!!!!!!" I shouted at the top of my lungs.

"I've never..," panting. "..shouted this loud in my entire life untill this moment...," panting. "It feels good, my stress are gone."

I feel like my depression went along with it. They both graduated!! Clap! Clap! Clap!

I opened up the box containing the lamplight I just bought, put the 3 extra batteries in my inventory together with the box. I adjusted the light level of the lamplight before turning it on.

"Full Range Lamplight

- Creator: Jes Electronics and Mananics

- Inventor: Jes Electronics and Mananics

- Materials: Unknown

- Durability Scale: 15."

This stuff is very durable. No wonder the high cost.

I walked over the already closed eatery. Standing at the entrance of the alley next to the eatery I just dine in, it is familiar. No, to be exact, I've already went inside earlier.

Walking through the alley, slowly. A figure appeared.

"Oh my! Are you perhaps here to pay?"

"No, I want to sell this...," I pulled the jumping leech meat out of my inventory, "...jumping leech meat to you."

"Jumping Leech... hmmm..." she looked up pointing to her chin while holding that arm up with another arm below its elbow. "I see, it's a delicacy to us. I'll pay you 20 GC 10 SC 4 CC for it," she smiled. "It's very rare to find after all.

"Here."

"I'll pay you an additional if it's fresh." She took the meat out of my hands. She turned it around, squished it, smelled, licked it. "Woah!! T-this is!! It really is fresh! And there's not even any damages to its meat!"

I stabbed it, it should have a lot of holes. Well, I guess this is one of the only game like functions in this game.

"Here! I'll pay you an extra of 5 gold coins!" I took the payment and left.

I will kill another one of those! Then sell it.

I turned off my lamplight upon exiting the alley. Even at night, there are so many players walking around.

The forest. I need to prepare.

I equipped the Scutia Body Armor, Steel Sword, Vladimir's Knife, and my lamplight on max light level.

To compensate for the lack of limbs, I inserted the handle of my lamplight at my back, inside my armor and clothes.

I never thought this is possible.

I held the sword with my two hands and entered the forest. The town behind me disappeared, replaced by trees.

image [https://nullme5.art.blog/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/28illustrations29jambow_027722541672837820421.jpg]

The lamplight surprisingly illuminated my whole surroundings, except for the fact that trees are everywhere. There is a patch of shadow beneath me caused my by shoulders and head.

I scanned my whole surroundings. 360 degrees.

"Cow Owl Lv 2

Stark Serpent Lv 1

Army Monkey Lv 2

Army Monkey Lv 2

Army Monkey Lv 2

Army Monkey Lv 1

Baby Army Monkey Lv 1

Armor Sloth Lv1

Baby Vladimir Lv 1

Rook Spider Lv 2

Apoy Lv 1

Umbra Lv 3."

There's.. a lot of them. A complete contrast of the day.

The Cow Owl flew away, Stark Serpent just sleeping. Army Monkeys looking at me, they made their baby disappear. Armor Sloth is approaching me. A Baby Vladimir baring its teeth to me. Apoy dead on a castle looking webs of the Rook Spider. Umbra, looking at me with its uncanny human like eyes.

What should I fight? With this many!!

The Armor Sloth approached me, standing between me and the baby Vladimir. It stayed there, staring at it, its back facing towards me. Is it protecting me?

The Baby Vladimir launched an attack, sprinting to close the distance before leaping towards my head. It's attack got nullified by the Armor Sloth as it jumped, blocking it off. Why is it protecting me?

As the baby Vladimir tries to wear off the concussion caused by the collision, the Armor Sloth swung its blade like claws slashing the side of its torso causing a very deep wound. Blood flowed down its wounds paralyzing the wounded creature. It collapsed on the ground.

I feel bad. But I can't level up. Sorry! But this is just natural! It's just a game!!

I ran towards the baby Vladimir before bringing my sword downwards chopping its head off. Blood oozed out off its decapitated body.

Why is this game so gory! I thought it's rated as 13+!

The dead body of the baby Vladimir vanished dropping an item. Suddenly, I got launched to a tree.

Ouch!

The armor absorbed all the damage. I took 10% damage from hitting the tree. "HP 90% SP 78% AP 75% MP 100%"

Fortunately, my lamplight is very durable, it's not broken. I stood up, disoriented.

The Armor Sloth that should have been friendly is looking at me, approaching, slowly. It's body is covered in a thick segmented plate armor. The only gaps in its body are the holes. But its mouth is shut close.

I maintained my distance from it for a whole minute, taking a curved path to pick up the drop item of the baby Vladimir. "Vladimir's Fang."

After picking up the item and placing it inside my inventory, I turned around, facing my current enemy.

I thrust the point of my sword at its eye, its eyelids closed. My sword pierced through it. I pushed it deeper. The Armor Sloth swung its claws at me, I jumped back leaving the sword stuck in its eye. Blood dripping. The Armor Sloth swung its claws alternatively on the sword stuck in its eye, multiple times, breaking it in half.

The blade can no longer be taken off. I took out my Vladimir's Knife, equipped it in my right hand with the blade facing the direction of my arm.

I charged towards it.

It swung its heavy arm at me, launching me backwards hitting a tree. It took 14% of my HP.

Once again, I ran towards it. Pulling out the lamplight, I placed it directly on the its remaining eye. It swung its arm at it, throwing it away from my grip.

I charged at it, stabbing it in its eye. It swung its arm at me, launching me backwards causing a 46% damage, bringing down my total AP to 8%.

The now blind Armor Sloth is swinging its claws aimlessly before stumbling backwards. It continued swinging its claws aimlessly, preventing me from approaching it.

It rolled on its side, stood up on its feet, limbs shaking. Its limbs gave up, falling on its chest. The blade stuck in its eyes made its way deeper, killing it.

Its body disappeared leaving a drop item along with the broken blade of my Steel Sword. I took both items, placing it inside my inventory. "Armor Sloth Hide, Broken Steel Sword, Steel Sword Broken Top Blade."

"Monster Wiki: New Monster Discovered

Vladimir

—They usually attacks in a pack following the strongest in the pack. The strongest in the pack is usually always in the middle, commanding its kin and only attacks as a last resort.

They would use their fangs to inject a paralyzing agent absorbing blood from its target.

Armor Sloth

—It uses its thick skin covered in scale-like keratin as armor protecting itself from harm. In attacking, it swings its heavy hands with 3 blade-like claws lodged into each of them. It moves slowly, but has a high reaction time."

Just as I closed the tab, a notification appeared in front of me.

"Congratulations! You leveled up!"

I leveled up!!

Mana? What's that? Wait! AI assistant!!

"How do I leave this forest?"

"Click the leave button on your thumb," a voice spoke in a very robotic tone.

I walked over the lamplight on the ground. Grabbing it, placing it back behind my armor and clothes.

I checked both my thumbs, they both have that button. I clicked the leave button on my right hand with my index finger.

I'm back at the town.

2.5

Upon arriving back at town, I looked around. The people who pulled me into this world are nowhere to be found.

I turned off my lamplight, placed it inside my inventory together with my Vladimir's Knife.

"How do I log out?" I asked.

"Look at your inventory tab, click the button with a gear icon."

I shouldn't rely on this feature.

"Can I set a keyword so that you will only answer if I want to ask you?"

"It is possible. What do you want to call me?"

"Hmm... Sofia."

"Order received. Keyword set."

All right.

I logged out.

"07:49"

I really feel like I've been there for a long time but it's still this early.

I put my VR headset on, logging in once again.
