Virtual reality and full-dive systems have become common place. Gaming is only one facet of the ever growing virtual environment field. Everything from schooling to doctor visits and jobs take some kind of form in these virtual environments. In a future where almost anything can be created, any pleasure can be found, and nearly any experience can exist in a virtual world. What happens to the real world? Edward Dalton is a retired soldier who attempts to escape the memories and horrors of the real world in a virtual world. Instead he finds solace and new meaning in the real world with friends he makes in the virtual world. This story doesn't currently have a posting schedule. I am aiming for twice a week. Sunday and Wednesdays Note From the author: First and foremost I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit my story. While the VR and VRMMO genre has common place. I would like to think this story is unique in it's own way for a couple reasons. While a good amount of the story takes place in a VR world. A good amount will also take place in reality. The goal is to hopefully paint a picture of what the real world could possibly look like after the general masses switch most of there life to a virtual one. As well as the consequences and ramifications of such an existence. Hopefully showing a new aspect of the genre. While the story does contain some dark themes and aspects. It's not entirely a dark dreary depressing thing. Like real life it will have it's up and down moments. This is my first fiction and first attempt at writing something long term. In my younger years(yeah I'm old) I was in a car accident had a severe TBI that caused Aphasia. Aphasia is a disorder that affects a persons ability to communicate. In my case it was learning to talk, read, and write all over again. It's funny because before the accident I wasn't much of a reader. However in the years since reading and writing have become something very precious to me. I ask that you be patient with any errors, grammar mistakes, and content issues in general. Please leave a note in the comments and I will do my best to fix them. I appreciate any and all critique and criticism. It helps me become a better writer and hopefully give you a better story!
