My new life as a useless side character in the world of Evelyn.
I opened my eyes, recalling the feeling of my head slamming forward on my desk with a loud thud. I passed out.
In a blur of haze, I began to wake up. It felt like I had slept for a long time.
“-eon!”
Whus’at.
“LEON!”
My ears were ringing loudly, and my eyes shot open to blinding brightness.

My surroundings changed, and I wasn’t in my room anymore…
I appeared amidst a bustling street in the middle of nowhere, and the source of the shouts became more apparent. My name was being called urgently.
I was always slow at reacting to things. Turning around in a dizzying motion, I was hurled backward into the tiled street as an unknown figure barrelled past my smaller-than-average figure. Bursts of pain swelled in my arse when I fell, I could only let out a defeated ‘oof.’
“Leon! Are you alright?” Someone called out to me as I lay on the floor.
Blinking loosely, I realized this was not Texas.
A boy about my age reached for my hand, pulling me up even when I didn’t say a word. Tufts of feather and fur stuck out the side of his head which complemented his dark purple coils, he shot me a familiar grin.
…Who the hell is this guy?
