It's dark. Was my first thought in the void. At first I remembered nothing. All I knew was the dark empty void, but as time, or what I thought was time moved on I started to remember things. A half remembered face, useless knowledge from school also I remembered what a school was. It was slow going to after a while I started to remember everything.

Well almost everything, I can't remeber names of people including my own damn name. I also have no clue what I look like, I do think I was male but thats about it. Also I can't tell If I'm forgetting more but oh well not like I'll need that information in a void right?

Some more time passes when all of the sudden there was light. I was still in the void but infront of my was a giant ball of light.

"Hello little one". The thing spoke right in my mind? Soul? Well whatever it was doing it spoke directly to me not outloud. "I suppose it this might be confusing for you". This thing said with a telepathic chuckle. 

"Could you stop referring to me as the thing, not that I mind but I do have a Title that I like people to use". Cool so he is reading my mind oh well what is your title weird ball of light. 

"You can address me as The Harbinger" Said The Harbinger.

"Okay Harb what are you, where are we, and who am I?" Hard pulsed a little when I called them Harb but they answered my nonetheless.

"Well I am The Harbinger. I am the guide of sort to wayward souls and-"

"Aren't Harbingers messengers of sorts. Shouldn't you be called The Guide or The Reaper?" I asked while interrupting him.

Again Harb pulsed, I guess I'm making him a little angry. "Well I was getting to that. Usually souls don't know who or what they are so I usually have to inform them about all of this, but you are unusually lucid for a soul. Tell me do you know who you are?"

"I remember things but it's not complete I know common sense so useless other things but not my name or anyone else's names."

"Fascinating, this is not unheard of but pretty rare. Its been a few thousand years since this last happened." 

"Cool so you going to answer the rest of my questions?"

"Oh right, you are in The Void a place between universes. And where lost souls wonder to after death. When someone dies there soul gets snatched back into the cycle of reincarnation, but sometimes they don't and end up here in the void. But worry not my job is to put you into a new world for reincarnation and hopefully the next time you die you will be but back into the cycle. As for your last question I have no clue all I know is that you are a lost soul and a bit of an ass."

Well that was a bit of an info dump but also very useful. "So I'm going to be reincarnated, any info on the world I'm going to be in?"

"Yes but I cannot tell you anything. Part of the rules, just know that so you will be in a new body in a new world." As Harb said this the light grew in intensity and I was soon blinded and all I could see was white.
