You send Miss Abernathy to the front to find a carriage while you go around the back to pick up Abu Aziz. You'll need the pirate and his crew to have a hope of prevailing in this chaos.
Abu Aziz is two steps ahead. He's just sent a runner, he tells you, giving the order for his crew to launch their ship and head for the palace. If you aren't quick though, the Sultan's men will get their cannons working and the dread pirate ship Maktub will be blown from the sky. They're an escape route, not a battering ram.

The streets of Fes are in chaos. Anarchists fighting soldiers. Civilians in panic. Fire everywhere. Twice, you have to leap from the carriage to push burning rubble out of the way. Abu Aziz faces down twenty of the Sultan's men, cutlass in one hand, horsewhip in the other, and mad laughter on his lips. When an anarchist latches on to the outside of your carriage, Miss Abernathy shoots him with a little silver pistol you didn't know she carried.
Finally, you reach the palace. There's a breach in the wall, the sounds of fighting coming from inside.
