You break into Pyatnitsa's study that very evening and rife through her papers. Everything is in code of course, or worse, Russian, but you're not here for information. You shove everything into a bag then take a few minutes to smoke one of the fat cigars Herr Baumgarten likes so much. When Comrade Pyatnitsa comes in to find her study raided the next morning, it will smell like the German industrialist.
Miss Abernathy visits Herr Baumgarten in his hotel and, over cups of Moroccan coffee and biscuits brought straight from Germany, expresses her sincere gratitude that Baumgarten was not the one killed by the poisoner. She feels sure, she says, that as the richest of them he was the real target. That awful pirate, Abu Aziz, how could he have done this!

You deal with the pirate yourself. Wearing a heavy disguise, including one of those awful red hats, you approach the house where Abu Aziz is staying. "Long live the revolution!" you scream, and throw a lit stick of dynamite over the wall. Chaos erupts as you slip off through the streets. The dynamite doesn't explode, you soaked it in a jug of water for over two hours, but Abu Aziz should have gotten the message.
You meet Miss Abernathy to discuss developments.
"Subterfuge and misdirection are all well and good," she says, "But if we want our enemies to destroy each other, we'll need to draw them out, get them together."
