Elva always thought she would be a background character in someone else's story in her small village, but after several demon attacks on her and her family, she and a group of magic users make a plan to find the portal to the realm the demons are rumored to be from. Along the way, Elva discovers the people she's with aren't telling her the full truth about who they are and who she is.
