A Magic academy huh… that could be interesting. I am not sure if it will help me improve my magic capability itself, but I can learn useful spells and also learn how to use magic during combat effectively, at least I hoped.
Riley continued his training, I have to be honest, he was pretty built for his age. Luna took out a magic research book, and was reading it alongside Casey, the three of them were seriously preparing for their future. The brothers on the other hand were off catching bugs around the area. One of the brothers, Ron, stopped immediately and stood to listen.
“Hey, did anyone hear that?”, everyone turns to him.
“What do you mean?”, Rim answers, since he was beside him, he should have heard whatever he did.
“There are no animals in the area right? I swear I could have heard a snort of some sort.”, everyone stays quite in order to listen to the surroundings for a good minute, until Riley breaks the silence.
“I don't hear anything but the wind and the leaves, you must have been mistaken, no animals are found in these parts anyway.”
“I think he may be right, I heard it too.”, I pointed out, I also heard the noise and knew where it was coming from as well. I slowly pointed my fingers towards a bush that stood right by Rim and Ron. as soon as I did, a hornless Hog popped out and ran towards Ron. scared out of his wits, Ron tripped and that was able to somehow get him to dodge the Hog, but the Hog still continued to run, not turning at all, it was now going towards Luna and Casey.
Riley quickly acted by jumping right between the girls and the hog, leaving his stick behind, and attempting to force the hog to stop by pushing it back with his arms, but he was not succeeding in it. His arms were worn out from his training and couldn’t handle much.
I, as another man, run after him to help out as well, although I most likely could not help him at all, since I have never done any sort of physical training, yet I still go in. locking my arms right in front of the bull, trying to stop it from forcing its way through us and onto the girls, for some reason, the hog totally stopped. The hog clearly did not give up, since it was still digging its feet into the ground to push, I also did not feel any force on my arms. The only reason I could think of is that Riley used a sudden burst of strength, or the hog was tired. I look at Riley, and I find him looking at me, with the most surprising face ever. Now I am very confused as to what's happening.
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
“How’d you do that?”, asked Riley.
“Do what?”
“Stop the hog.”
“Wasn’t that you who did it? I am honestly surprised at how strong you are.”
“No it’s not me…”, Riley takes one arm off the hog to check out my arm muscles, he looks disappointed but even more confused. He then lets go of his other arm.
“Woah woah, I can’t possible handle this thing myself, what are you doing!”, Riley does nothing but stare. I seemed to have forgotten that there is still no force being placed on my arms, so I look back, the hog is still trying, why is it so persistent?
“Is it tired?”, I try to explain.
“No it doesn't seem like it's tired, I think your just strong.”, I think about it for a second, and start to bring back what God said, did she say something about physical strength? For some reason the Goddess did not answer me again, so I try to test it out myself.
I hold the hog’s nose with one hand, and lift it into the air, it felt as if I was holding a pebble. Everyone was extremely surprised about what I had just done. I continue to put my arm behind me, with the hog still in hand, and launch it as far as I can. A huge gust of wind was summoned as the hog flew into the skies and puncturing the clouds, making a small hole. Surprised at myself, I look at my arms for no reason.
“What the hell…” Riley was astonished, and the brothers were still looking at the sky, like they were hypnotized by the single dot in the clouds.
“Are you sure you want to join the magic combat academy instead of the physical combat academy?”, asked Luna
“What? You want to join the magic combat academy? Thats a huge waste of your talent!?”, screamed Riley, excited and disappointed in the same time.
“Well to me, magic is cooler, also I don’t know how I did that, probably a fluke.”
“That cannot be a fluke, also, the physical combat academy learns magic as well, ya know, things like enhancement magic and stuff.”, Riley tries to convince me but I refuse.
“Sorry, I am not really interested in that. Almost my whole life now, I have been getting ready to use magic, to me, magic is something priceless.”, Riley gave a sad expression, but understood my ideals and conviction towards magic. But he did not necessarily give up.
“Alright, but in 3 days, we will all be testing out our magic affinity, if you do not have one or aren't strong at it, then you must join the physical magic academy!”, Riley was serious about this, I was not able to refuse him this time.
“Sure, lets just see about that”.
