Chapter 1: Just A Typical Boring Introduction
----------------------------------------
Living in a noble family does not mean you can have a good life. Jelle Tarquinius is a good example of that, Jelle was born in a wealthy noble family. He was the third son of the Tarquinius Family. In his daily life as a young nobleman, he often had a hard time living in their house. The reason is simple, he had many things to worry about, for example: the land his father left onto him, his two older brothers ordering him to go to villages and towns to collect the taxes from the people and he didn't even have time to think for what he truly wanted. Ever since his father passed away he has become more responsible than his two older brothers. He managed all of the work his father had left. While his two brothers just did not do what their father gave to them and his two brothers passed the work on him. Jelle can’t blame them for being lazy on the work, for him, what he is doing is already kind of fun and exciting.
Jelle is currently visiting one of the villages that his deceased father passed down to him. He is riding in a carriage, sitting in a fancy looking seat, wearing long sleeveless tunics made of silk and a trouser made up of rayon fabric, coloured as likely as a grayish shirt and a brown trouser. He also wore a red hat with a white feather of ostrich plumes in its left side of the curve of the hat, while his shoes are made up of synthetic leather, coloured as Brownish. Jelle as he waited until the arrivation on the village of Nivelle, he looked at the window of his carriage, and he took a look at the beautiful view of the surrounding valley of mountains, passing through the green scenery and they arrived at a bridge. As they passed on the bridge of Marcenia, a bridge made up of concrete road which is the only way to go to the village. Jelle pulled off a book from his pouch attached from his belt , this was one of the oldest books that his father had written. Then, he started reading it, turning every page as he read in the context while waiting for them to arrive at the village.
The village of Nivelle is located near the Talon Mountains. The village is prosperous thanks to the valley of mountains surrounding it, making the villagers safe from the invaders, and easy for them to plant and harvest the crops. The Nivelle village has a small river flowing down towards the field of wheat crops that the villagers had planted. The river-stream is connected to the bridge of Marcenia. During the summer season the villagers harvest all of the crops they had planted on the field and after they harvest it, Jelle will visit the village to manage where to sell the crops and how much the price of it. That’s the reason why Jelle is going to the village of Nivelle.
Jelle noticed that they were nearing the village, so he put the book back in his pouch. And the carriage stops at the destination. The villagers were waiting for his arrival and there they were standing in the way, waving their hands, shouting his name as Jelle and the carriage approached towards them. The window of Jelle’s carriage is open, making the village chief greet Jelle first even though Jelle hasn’t come out of the door of the carriage yet.
“Lord Jelle!” an excited voice of the chief, making Jelle notice that the village chief is delighted for his arrival at the village.
Jelle opened the door of the carriage and made a step on the surface. He was greeted by the village chief. As he had in a good position. The villagers greeted him one after another, and the carriage driver made a stop on the situation. The villagers listened. Jelle thanked his personal carriage driver.
“Thanks, Heydar,” Jelle thanked his driver. “Your welcome, Sir,” answered Heydar, bowing his head. Heydar went back to the carriage in order to park it in a good place, Heydar left Jelle for the time being. And Jelle continued “Mr Vale,” Jelle calls the village chief’s name. “How’s the crop? Is it fine?” Jelle asked Mr Vale.
Mr. Vale smiled, “Come with me, Lord Jelle, I have good news for you.’’
They went to Mr Vale’s wheatfield. It was already being harvested by the peasants farmer. The peasants looked at Jelle and waved their hands towards his direction. Jelle also waved his hand as a token of gratitude for harvesting the crops. “So, when will it be finished?” asked Jelle to Mr Vale.
“I think, maybe, for about 7 days.” Mr Vale replied, looking at the field. “Basically, it depends on it’s hectares and the peasants who can manage to harvest fast. And the time they put in work.”
“Well, why don’t you let them take a rest for now, it’s already in the middle of the day and it’s quite hot, today,” Jelle said. While stepping down from the sunlight’s rays, that hit his whole clothes. He moved backwards and then he sat on the wooden chair that is near a cruck house made of wooden frame onto which was plastered with wattle and daub.
Mr. Vale looked at Jelle and then he shouted towards the peasants who worked. “You may take a rest for now!”
The peasants who are working do what Mr. Vale said, and they left the field and took a break. Since it's lunchtime, the farmer or the peasants who harvest the crops and the villagers went to the chief’s house, also Jelle and Mr. Vale, and they had lunch inside the village chief’s house. Mr. Vale's house is much bigger than any other villagers' houses who lived in Nivelle. It was because he is the tenant of the land, and he is the person whom Jelle put his trust in. After the peasants finished eating the food that Mr. Vale’s daughter had cooked, the peasants went on the wheatfield again and began harvesting the crops.
Meanwhile, Heydar just got back from parking the carriage near the village chief’s house. He then joined the group who is still eating, together with his young master, Jelle. Heydar was a former beggar, after he met Jelle his life had changed and that he owed his whole life to Jelle by going with him together as his companion in his adventure’s and as his personal driver of the carriage.
“Sir Jelle, what will you be doing next? After visiting this village.’’ asked Heydar to his master as he picked up a dish to put on his plate. Heydar sat near Jelle’s chair beside him. Jelle looked at Heydar as he ate his food inside his mouth. And then when he managed to swallow the food. He replied: “Hmm...Well, I think we should visit the neighbourhood town.’’ While standing up from his chair and going to the kitchen leaving Heydar eating alone. Heydar on the other hand did not reply as he knew what his master’s doing. But when he remembered that there’s a rumor about a group of bandits that has currently been attacking carriages of noble people that go towards the neighbouring town. He rushedly stood up from his chair and went to the kitchen leaving his food unfinished. There, Heydar saw Jelle talking with the daughter of the village chief named Welsh Aadolf. As Jelle and Welsh talked, Heydar interrupted the conversation.
“Ahrmm...Pardon me,” Heydar interrupted them. Jelle and Welsh looked at each other and then they both faced Heydar.

“...”
They did not say anything in a minute and then Jelle started. “What brings you here, Heydar?”
Welsh then said, “Looks like you had something to do Mr. Jelle, If you excuse me.” Welsh bent her head below, she then left. Leaving Jelle and Heydar in the kitchen. Welsh went to the dining table to clean up the mess on the table. Since, Welsh had left the kitchen, Heydar continued what he was going to say.
“Sir Jelle, we should not go to the neighbourhood town,” Heydar is worried that his young master’s life will be put in danger if they go to the town.
Jelle’s face is still calm, not puzzled, nor confused. He knows what he will say next. When Heydar was going to say the remaining word that he did not yet say, Jelle stopped him from saying it.
“Wait...I know what you're going to say. That there’s a group of bandits lurking in the way towards the town, right? And that they are attacking people that go there?” Jelle asked as he smiled towards Heydar. Then Jelle pat Heydar’s right shoulder as he passes through. “Don’t worry too much, Heydar, I know how to take care of myself,” Jelle said towards Heydar in a gentle voice.
Jelle left Heydar, and he went towards where the field is located. And he then shouted, “I will be going to the field, to say goodbye to Mr. Vale. So just wait for me in the carriage!”
Heydar did what his master said. While, Jelle went to the field as he said to Heydar. He said goodbye to the village chief and to his daughter who just finished cleaning the place. Then, Jelle went back to the carriage where Heydar was waiting for him. He entered the door of the carriage and sat on the chair inside the carriage. The villagers and Mr. Vale and his daughter, Welsh, waved their hands as Jelle and Heydar left the village. They passed through where the field is located. The peasants who were still harvesting the crops also waved goodbye towards them. The day is nearing sunset time. Heydar drove the carriage and whipped the horse, so that they could get back to Dane Town before the night came. And so on. They managed to arrive at the town just before the night came.
When they arrived at the town where Jelle lived together with his family. Their house is quiet, leaving no light inside. Jelle started to wonder. Heydar left Jelle to go back to his house.
“I’ll be going now, Sir Jelle,” Heydar said to Jelle as he glanced at the window where there's no light appearing. However, Heydar noticed that someone was waving at him, he did not know who the person was, so he approached it.
Meanwhile, Jelle wondered why there’s no light in the house. He thought that maybe his family already fell asleep or they just went on somewhere. He went inside the gate, he closed it and he continued to walk towards the door of the house and then he took a look at his back, no one’s there, he thinks that maybe Heydar already went back to his family. And so, Jelle continued. After he opened the door, he climbed upstairs towards his room to change clothes. When he arrived there, a sudden surprise appeared before him and the light of his room was on. Jelle’s family was there and presented him with a gift of surprise for his 18th birthday, which he had forgotten due to a lot of work that he had to do.
There his oldest brother, Radley, laying in his bed, and his second older brother, Bard, who’s sitting in his chair near his own desk, and last but not the least his younger sister, Rachel, who’s standing up facing him with a smile on her face. And Jelle’s Mother, who’s holding a cake for him, and lastly Heydar, which Jelle thought that he already had left. Jelle was surprised that he did not know what to say or what to do. That’s the first time he was being surprised by his family in all of the last few years.
“Hey! Say something, Jelle,” said Radley as he rolled down the bed. And step on the wooden surface. Then he continued, “Surprised? You thought that we forgot your birthday, right?”
Still Jelle did not reply. He was surprised.
“I think he is just speechless because this is the first time he is being surprised by us,” added Rachel.
“Haha!” Bard laughed. And then his Mother said: “Well, let’s just go to the dining table to have dinner, and by the way, Radley can you please turn on the lights now,” Jelle’s Mother ordered.
“Ah!, yeah, I will do that, Mother.’’ his brother Radley replied.
And that’s when Jelle made a word. “Wait...You guys haven’t eaten a dinner yet?’’
“Yup!, We didn’t, we are waiting for you until you come back home,” his younger sister Rachel answered.
“Ah, I see,” Jelle’s short reply. Without going any further to make a conversation.
They all went to the dining table and the food was already ready, and when all of them were in the right place, they started giving a prayer to the mighty one who gave them good health and wealth and the food that they are going to eat now, and Jelle blow a wind on the candle of the cake. All of them are already hungry, so they can’t wait to eat all the food that is placed on the table. When Jelle’s Mother gave the signal to deliberately eat the food, The celebration was already over in an instant. There’s no left on the table, all the food is gone and goes to their stomachs. They are all already full-bellies. And then they asked Jelle a question one by one on what he wanted to do, that he turns out now to be 18th years old.
The first one to ask a question is his older brother, Radley, then next his second brother, Bard, his sister Rachel and then his Mother and the last is Heydar. Radley asked Jelle what he wanted to do now, and Jelle replied that he didn't know and the questioning went by as the time had passed and Jelle's answer is still the same. It was already so late at night and the last one to ask a question was Heydar. Heydar did not ask a question but rather he gave Jelle an idea that he might want to do in his life and for his future or maybe for his happiness.
“Then if you do not know what you like I can give you an idea on what you would like to do,” Heydar said.
“That might be helpful for my son, Mr. Heydar,” Jelle’s mother said. And then the three siblings nodded as an agreement on the idea.
“Sir Jelle, as for my own idea you must go on a journey! In order to learn more about the world, you will gain more knowledge regarding your own interest and to do that you must take the permission of your mother, Mrs. Oriana,” Heydar proclaimed the idea. And Heydar looked at Mrs. Oriana then took a glance at Jelle’s face.
“I am pleased by your idea, Mr. Heydar, and I surely approved at your idea,” Jelle’s Mother looked at him, and continued, “Well, if my son wants to do that then I can’t stop him,”
Jelle looked at his mother intently and then he said, “Really mother! But I have a lot of work to do in here,” he sounded down.
“Hmm…You don’t have to worry about that Jelle, I and Bard will do the work and govern the land that father had left on us, since, in the first place it was our duty and we just give it to you,” Radley affirmed and made a sign of swear that he will do it. Radley grabbed Bard’s shoulder and said, “You’ll be doing some work too, Bard,”
Bard can’t refuse his older brother since he also has a duty on it, and that he must act as the second older brother at least once.
“Sure!” Bard’s reply.
“Then, that made the conversation over,” said Heydar.
“Okay! It was decided then. Jelle, you'll go on an adventure, but you must go to my friend's place first in order to buy a weaponry and pack the things you had to bring on your journey, and you must start tomorrow!” his mother said. As all of them stood up, and cleaned the table after they finished eating. Then they went to their own separate room and Heydar also left the household of the Tarquinius family and went to his own house and family. While Mrs. Oriana left washing the dishes together with her daughter Rachel.
Jelle is in his room, sitting on a chair facing the desk which Bard sat earlier, as he looked at the window in the night sky. He leaned a little closer to his chair, making it comfortable for him. While thinking back about what Heydar said. After Jelle gathered his thoughts he decided to go sleep in his bed.

Author's Notes:
> This is my very first novel. I decided to upload it here, apparently this is just a 1 chapter long. And I just want to write something at least and for now. Well, maybe you can't call this a novel since it was very short. I'm open for readers opinion if this one has a potential for continument. Also I decided to hiatus this one caused I ran out of idea. However, there is a second chapter which is unfinished. Hope you'll like this boring one. I think there's also some grammar mistakes or useless words or description that I put so I'm sorry about that I'm still a novice writer after all. And I'm still thinking on what title I'm gonna put, so I decided that I will title it ''Incomplete Novel'' but it's just for temporary title. And about the synopsis I will change it when I feel like it and It was just for temporary since it is needed. So good luck.

> I think you must spot some of this word/s Mr. with a period or Mr without a period. And also this word/s Mrs. with a period or Mrs without a period. Well I'm still confused about those words but I think if I wrote it like this Mister or Missis. Maybe there's no problems.
