“Hmm, I guess they weren’t as good as the rumours said.”

Watching Mika leap into the air to finish the shoot, Ikue tried to ignore Yuka who was doing some sort of strange celebration dance that involved wriggling his body like he lacked any bones. While it was odd that Eisei had allowed them to shoot so easily, Mika was one of the top strikers in the nation and even from the footage she had seen last year, Eisei’s goalkeeper, who was the same this year, hadn’t been able to stop ‘Pandora’s Box’ with ‘Black Hole’ so this was pretty much Raimon’s point.

With what looked like disgust showing up on her face, Hiroaki just watched as she saw the same hissatsu shoot she had seen last year come towards her quickly. Rolling her eyes, she rolled up her sleeves before putting her hand out.

Out from her hand came a wave of darkness with ominous stopwatches and clocks floating in the void. A blue bubble surrounded the golden ball speeding towards her and time and space slowly came to stop until freezing in her hand. As time began to resume she gave the ball a light punch to send it back to Daigiichi.

SPACE-TIME WALL

Putting both hands around her mouth as a microphone Hiroaki let out a shout with annoyance palpable in her voice.

“DAIGIICHI!!! What are you doing?! You know that I’m a delicate woman, I’ll be charging you for this later!! If you keep letting such weak players through I’ll be raising my rates to 10,000 yen/shot!”

Sweatdropping, Daigiichi mumbled under his breath

“Delicate where…I don’t think even goblins are this obsessed with money”

“WHAT DID YOU SAY YOU BRAT??”

Feeling sweat begin to run down his back, Daigiichi quickly put on a forced smile before managing to spit out

“Ah, nothing Hiroaki-nee!! I’ll never let a delicate fairy like you dirty your hands on the ball again!! You can count on me ma’am!”

Hearing his servile response, Hiroaki just let out a “mmhmm” meaning “that’s what I thought” while Daigiichi let out a sigh of relief before sending the ball up to Suzaku.

[The Eisei Eleven finally begin to make their counterattack as Suzaku cleanly gets through Raimon’s offensive line in a swift motion! Will this be the start of Seiryuu’s consecutive hat trick at this year’s Holy Road?]

[Oh? What’s this?? Seiryuu makes a short pass to Mika Kuroha of the enemy team, missing a perfect shoot chance? Was this a mistake or intended?? What is he thinking?]

Watching her purple eyes open wide in confusion, Seiryuu laughed silently to himself.

He thought she had changed since the match last year but she was as pathetic as ever.

“And just what do you think you’re doing Mr.Seiryuu? If you forgot the rules, I’ll be generous and remind you that you’re trying to score into our goal, not your own.”

“My apologies Young Lady. As a lowly orphan my brain gets confused sometimes and I forget who’s on my team.”

Deciding to ignore his strange behaviour, Mika decided to start moving up when Seiryuu paused to lean in as she passed him and in a low voice whispered into her ear

“But no matter how many times you try…the way you are now…you’ll never be able to score against us.”

“Kenji!!”

Pretending she hadn’t heard him, Seiryuu watched as she passed the ball up to a short boy with headphones.

A disgruntled murmur could be heard from the boy as he received the pass

“Tch. I’ve been telling them that it’s hopeless but ahg whatever”

Giving a swift kick to the ball he let out a shout

“Daiguji!”

“Afuro-senpai!”

Haruka watched silently as a completely bland looking kid sent it to Serika who was positioning herself to get ready to shoot. Smirking, Haruka tried not to laugh as she made her way to intercept the girl.

Just as she predicted as she got closer and closer to the girl…

Passing her again, Haruka thought to herself “What an idiot” as she saw pure-white wings pop out from her back as the Raimon midfielder, or she seemed to be a forward today, began to fly in the sky with the ball.

“DAIGIICHI!!”

Haruka let out a sweat drop as Hiroaki let out a guttural cry from the goal, while Daigiichi began to cry to himself feeling that he was very pitiful today.

“Why am I always the one to get caught in the middle…Hiroaki’s orders or Seiryuu’s….”

Messing his hair up, Daigiichi watched as the ball began to get charged with a bright white light.

GOD KNOWS!!

Watching as the ball got closer and closer, Daigiichi just let out a cry “AHGGG, I don’t know!!” before closing his eyes and stepping out of the way.

Watching her idiot younger brother move out of the way of the incoming shot, Hiroaki opened her eyes wide while thinking to herself

“This little piece of—”

“Ugh”

Letting out a low groan, Hiroaki just put both hands out before waiting for the ball to stop spinning.

Feeling a murderous vibe growing behind him, Daigiichi decided not to look behind him for the rest of the match while ignoring the shouts and curses coming from the goal. At least he could placate Hiroaki with money later while if he pissed off Seiryuu he would really be dead later.

Walking over to the taller girl, Haruka put her hand on her shoulder in a friendly manner before telling her

“I heard so much about the new angel of Raimon but just because a penguin has wings doesn’t mean it can fly I guess?”

Content as she observed the other girl begin to grit her teeth together in an ugly manner Haruka just let out a haughty laugh before running back to her position…

[AND THAT’S THE END TO THE FIRST HALF FOLKS!! Despite an unrelenting offence, Raimon has been unable to score even a single goal while Eisei surprisingly has not initiated a counterattack yet. Will the tables turn in the second half or will Raimon continue to barrage Eisei Gakuen’s defence??]

As Daigiichi was walking back to the bench to get some water, he paused to check out what Seiryuu was looking at, who was still standing on the field, unmoving. Following his gaze he saw a girl with obsidian hair panting heavily alongside another tall girl with platinum blond hair bent over catching her breath. Considering the girl’s rapidly pink light was fluctuating between a hot pink and light pink rapidly, Daigiichi could sense how distressed she was though strangely the other girl, Mika was it? Had no colour at all unlike everyone else…Well even just looking at their physical appearance he could tell they were exhausted.

He wasn’t surprised considering how much they had been running around in the first half, but he wasn’t quite sure what Seiryuu was expecting from them. Shrugging, Daigiichi decided to leave the complicated stuff to Haruka and headed to get a water bottle the managers were passing out.

“AHHH”

Daigiichi let out a high-pitched scream as he felt an arm wrap around his neck from behind.

“So you thought you could run away from me you little twerp?”

Without needing to turn around Daigiichi sweatdropped knowing who it was.

“Ahhhh, Hiroaki I was just about to look for you!”

Letting out a snort of disbelief the tall bespectacled girl mocked him

“Oh, I’m sure you were”

Letting go of him she watched as he sat down on the grass and put his hands together in a begging gesture as he pleaded to her with pitiful eyes

“I was just obeying Aniki’s orders!! Please spare me O’ Merciful Fairy”

As Daigiichi continued to bow down to her over and over again Hiroaki turned around to look at Seiryuu who was still on the field before musing to herself

“Seiryuu said that…?”

“......”

“Alright, get up you good-for-nothing. You know my bank account number. I’ll be expecting a deposit for my troubles within 48 hours”

Almost crying tears of joy, Daigiichi stood up again to hug his older sister

“I knew you were the best Hiroaki!”

Pushing his face away from her, Hiroaki replied

“Yeah, yeah I know I’m awesome so get some water and prep up for the second half”

[AND EISEI’S HYOSUKE STARTS THE KICKOFF FOR THE SECOND HALF. Which team will be the one to break this stalemate and when will Seiryuu finally make a move in this match??]

Grinding his molars, Seiryuu could feel his stomach start to boil, feeling his body get hotter and hotter as blood rushed towards his head. This wasn’t what he had wanted at all. What the hell was wrong with her? She was stronger than this, why wasn’t she playing at her best?

Seiryuu was abruptly awoken from his thoughts as two amethyst eyes popped up in front of him as Mika came over to intercept him.

As the two continued to fight over possession of the ball, Seiryuu easily kept the ball trapped as he continued to watch her struggle against him. Looking downwards their eyes met again and he stared fiercely at the other striker before opening his mouth to ask her

“If you’re going to be like this, why are you even playing soccer?”

Stunned by his words, Seiryuu watched the girl’s eyes open widely and her mouth opened but nothing came out.

“AHG”

Letting out a loud cry of frustration, Seiryuu jumped up into the air with the ball trapped between his legs before kicking it straight up into the air in the midst of a backwards flip.

As the ball hung in the air two large circles began to surround the ball diagonally and Mika was thrown to the ground as fierce winds began to surround the ball. As the wind became denser and more violent Seiryuu leaped back into the air before giving the ball a violent kick and from the circles appeared two ferocious dragons, one blue and one green, that spun around each other fiercely before coalescing into one large azure dragon.

DRAGON GENESIS!

As Sieryuu landed back on the ground, he watched a boy with bright green eyes move to intercept it and just smirked.

Shadows rose from the ground and surrounded the boy in a pitch-black armor.

TOTAL ECLIPSE!

“Ugh”

Blasted backwards, Galahad was thrown like a rag doll from the power of the shoot, which had lost no speed as it continued to barrel towards the goal. Looking up from a diary where he had been vigorously taking notes the entire match, a boy with round glasses and crazy grey hair smiled before dropping his diary on the ground and slamming both hands on the ground. From the ground came a gigantic wave that attempted to block the incoming shoot.

TSUNAMI WALL

[GOAAAAAALLLLLL!!]

[EISEI GAKUEN FINALLY MAKES THE FIRST POINT OF THE MATCH WITH SEIRYUU’S DRAGON GENESIS BLASTING THROUGH GALAHAD’S ‘TOTAL ECLIPSE’ AND NEW GOALKEEPER AN HYUN-KI’S ‘TSUNAMI WALL’.]

Not breaking a smile despite having just scored, Seiryuu silently watched as Mika struggled to get back up.

“I guess I expected too much”

Sighing, Seiryuu motioned to the rest of the members to gather around him before ordering them

“Let’s wrap this up”

Hearing this , Daigiichi let out a deep sigh of relief. He could finally get to defending while Haruka had a bit of a sinister grin on her face.

[Raimon starts off the kickoff with Serika Afuro making an aggressive play through Eisei’s front line however it seems ‘White Tiger’ Haruka is heading to intercept, will she finally be able to stop her for the first time this match?]

“Aren’t you tired of trying yet? I guess it’s true when they say cats can’t learn tricks.”

Ignoring the obvious provocation, Haruka watched as Serika clasped her hands together yet again.

Letting out a mocking laugh, Haruka just smiled before racing forwards.

[OLYMPUS HARMONY HAS BEEN COMPLETELY BROKEN THROUGH BY HARUKA MAKING IT THE FIRST TIME SERIKA HAS HAD THE BALL STOLEN FROM HER THIS HOLY ROAD! NOTHING LESS FROM THE CURRENT NO.2 MIDFIELDER]

“What?”

Looking at the girl who let out a gasp behind her, Haruka paused while playing with the ball she had just stolen. Quickly getting back up, Serika attempted to lunge for the ball again but was effortlessly toyed with by Haruka who continued to dribble the ball around the other girl with ease. Watching the taller girl’s face turn progressively from pink to a deep red Haruka paused a bit.

“You really are as brainless as a pigeon aren’t you? Is there anything going on inside that pretty head of yours?”

Clenching her fists into tight balls, Serika refused to respond while continuing to try to steal the ball back from Haruka.

With a touch of disgust in her voice, Haruka couldn’t help but feel bad for Raimon for having such an awful player and decided to speak up

“You haven’t even noticed have you? Your hissatsus have only been getting weaker and weaker throughout the match. If you had actually focused on someone else other than yourself instead of trying to break through all on your own… well you still wouldn’t have scored but it would’ve been more interesting than this. Don’t worry, I’ll sear what a real midfielder looks like into your mind soon enough”

Finished saying everything she had wanted to, Haruka turned around before quickly beginning to run while a white energy cloak began to surround her body. Then dashing she quickly evaded Gabriel and Sadao who had moved to intercept her.

Lightning Accel!

“Rikku send it up to big bro!”

“On it Haruka-nee!”

“Big bro!”

Receiving the pass securely, Seiryuu looked at the blonde boy who had moved to mark him even before Haruka had passed the ball. Despite miserably failing to block ‘Dragon Genesis’ he still had a determined look in his eyes that pissed him off…

Pushing himself backwards on the ground he muttered

“If a dog wants to bare his fangs…”

“He should have the skills to back it up!”

Leaping upwards into the sky, the sky turned black with a sun rising up from behind him blinding the Raimon defence. Spinning, he gave a fierce kick with his right foot causing the ball to explode forwards with a dark purple aura of space behind it.

TENKUU OTOSHI!!

TOTAL ECLIPSE!

TSUNAMI WALL

Completely smashing its way through the two hissatsus, Galahad and Hyun-Ki could only helplessly watch from the ground after being thrown aside as the ball made its way towards the goal.

[GOAAAAAAAAAALLL!! This makes Seiryuu’s second goal of the match increasing the score difference to 2-0 as Eisei easily passes through Raimon’s defence as if it wasn’t even there in the first place.]

“Wow, are you sure that wasn’t overkill Aniki? These guys are pretty weak, so we should be careful not to send them to the hospital”

Checking to make sure that Galahad and Hyun-Ki weren’t dead as they struggled to get back up, Daigiichi looked up innocently at Seiryuu who had a menacing aura around him.

“They’re not dead, but they’ll wish they were soon Daigiichi, so stop messing around because we’re not done yet”

Getting into position Seiryuu carefully observed as Mika and Serika began the next kickoff, judging by the blond girl’s face she had pretty much given up while Mika had completely lost focus and seemed to still be in a daze after listening to Seiryuu’s words previously.

As Mika robotically tried to dribble past him, Seiryuu mercilessly stole the ball from her before jumping up in the air and kicking the ball upwards.

Aphrodi continued to observe silently as Ikue gasped while Yuka let out a surprised cry

“What the heck, he’s going to shoot from there?? He hasn’t even moved into our side of the field yet?!”

DRAGON GENESIS!

The two blue and green dragons blew through Raimon tearing through the members like paper before finally uniting and blasting into the goal.

[GOAAAAAAAAAALLLL!!!! AND THAT’S IT!!!! SEIRYUU’S SECOND CONSECUTIVE HAT TRICK AT HOLY ROAD!! WITH ONLY 2 MINUTES REMAINING IT SEEMS VICTORY IS CERTAIN FOR EISEI GAKUEN]

Still not satisfied and unable to control the bubbling anger within him that was threatening to overflow and overwhelm him, Seiryuu glared at the Raimon players who at the very least hadn’t surrendered yet and gave a blunt order to Haruka.

“Haruka, go”

“Yes, brother”

Dashing forwards, only a white blur could be seen as Haruka made her way up the field at a speed Raimon couldn’t even react to. Watching the younger girl leave, Seiryuu refocused before moving himself and stealing the ball almost immediately after the kickoff.

Hup

Giving the ball a light kick he sent a long pass to Haruk who was already in position to shoot.

With the ball under her foot, Haruka gave a cat-like grin before lightly kicking the ball, giving it a spin that began to attract a purple vacuum that sucked in the surrounding earth. Finally kicking it forward lightning surrounded the ball as it raced towards the goal

ASTRO BREAK!

[AND THAT’S THE END WHISTLE, EISEI RUTHLESSLY FINISHES UP THE MATCH AT 4-0 MAKING THEM ALMOST GUARANTEED TO MAKE IT TO THE NATIONAL FINALS. Meanwhile Raimon will need to win their last match against Teikoku in order to have a chance to make it as the second place for Block C. Good luck to both teams!]

Meanwhile, Up in the Stands

A boy with spiky reddish-pink hair sitting awkwardly on top of the chair rather than on it with his feet on the chair in front of him turned to the short haired boy with multi-coloured eyes next to him before speaking.

“So this is the current Eisei Gakuen? They’ve improved from the data we got on them last year but it’s still within expectations. I’ll leave them as a candidate for Project Mars.”

However, instead of replying, the other boy just turned to the last member of their trio who looked quite comfortable in his chair with a panda neck pillow and matching blanket wrapped snugly around him.

“Hey. TAMAKI!! We brought you here to watch, not sleep so wake up before I make you wake up!!”

Opening his eyes lazily the boy with white hair and white eyes that lacked pupils yawned slowly before leisurely complaining

“I wassss watchingggg. But none of them seem funnnn except that blue tall guyyy anywayyyy so I think I’ll justtttt be goinggg back to sleep nowwwwww.”

Standing up, the pink haired boy just watched as Tamaki was wrapped up in his blanket and attached to the other boy’s back for transport.

“Let’s go. There’s no time for lazing around.”

Nodding his head in agreement, the short-haired boy made sure Tamaki was attached securely before heading out and the trio were soon swallowed by the shadows as if they were never there.
