—In The Luxurious Living Room Of Casino’s Newly Obtained Mansion (Previously Owned By The Mayor Of Asheton)—
“Thanks you for takin’ some time to come here, Mr. Gryphon.” said Casino, politely extending his hand out to greet Gryphon. “I really appreciate you coming all the way here from Castle Creedmor.”
“Just Gryphon is fine. And it’s no problem at all. I needed to come to Asheton for some groceries anyways.” replied Gryphon, shaking Casino’s hand and comfortably sitting down on the couch afterwards. “Now I heard from Da Vinci you were inquiring about how to create a teleportation circle, yes?
“I am.” Casino answered openly, revealing to him “My plan is to make the greatest casino in all of Novus, and for that dream to come true, I thought I might need to make a few public teleportation circles so people from all over the Kingdoms could come here directly—ideally to gamble to until their pockets are empty.”
“What a…peculiar dream.” remarked Gryphon, nodding for Casino to continue.
“The problem is Da Vinci told me she didn’t know how to make one. But she did tell me about you, Gryphon, and how you at least know how to use the Teleportation Skill.” Casino then queried, “So I was wonderin’, you wouldn’t happen to know how to also make a permanent teleportation circle yourself, would you?”
“As a matter of fact, I do.” But before Casino could get his hopes up, Gryphon told him “However, creating a permanent teleportation is no easy task. It takes months of painstakingly reinscribing all the rune sequences daily—not to mention all the work and expenses being doubled, or tripled if you really are expecting me to create multiple circles here.”
“I know may not look like it, but I’m a patient man. And I got enough coin to fill this entire mansion with.” Casino shamelessly boasted. “Just as long as you can get the job done.”
“It may not be an issue for you, but I’m already currently employed by another, and am needed at a moment's notice to any who need of my teleportation services back in Castle Creedmor.” Gryphon stated, readying himself to leave. “So I’m sorry to say, but you will have to find another mage who can create a teleportation circle for you.”
“H-Hold on there, Gryphon, sir!” Casino said in a panic. “You're talkin’ about Eyes, right? Eyes Thalion Ven’Thyl?”
“You know the—I mean you know Eyes?” Gryphon corrected himself.
“O-Of course I do! And I know Da Vinci’s workin’ for him too. We’re friends, kinda...”
“Hmm…”
“What I mean to say is; what if I can come to a deal with Eyes, and get his permission to let you also come work for me? Will you make the teleportation circles then?” Casino negotiated.
“I suppose I could…”
“Then it’s decided! I’ll message—”
Casually interrupting their conservation, Da Vinci suddenly walked in between them and stood right in the middle of the living room—not saying a single word or apology for her interruption. Continuing to not paying attention to either of them, Da Vinci briefly surveyed the structure and dimensions of the space, and simply activated her Architect’s Drafting Board to sketch out some ideas for the new design of the place. After she finished, and was satisfied with a couple of her rough sketches, she deactivated her Skill and left without even stopping to acknowledge Casino or Gryphon.
“Err...Umm… Excuse me for a moment, will ya? I need to know what that girl’s doin’ to my new place.” Casino left to chase after Da Vinci, shouting “Hey, girlie! What the heck was that all about?”
Simply left alone to wait, Gryphon thought to himself “The Heir sure has some strange, but intriguing friends. And from the looks of it, they’re going to be people whose names are known throughout the Three Kingdoms in the future.” naming, “There's Mako, an unnaturally gifted human blacksmith who Drune has accepted as his true apprentice, and who he's even returning with to reclaim his relinquished title of Forge Master. Then there's Da Vinci, an architectural genius who‘s abilities and imagination are beyond anything I’ve ever seen in this world before. And now there's a mysterious unknown man who’s said to be blessed with the luck of Goddess of Fortune herself. Yet I can't help but feel, these aren’t the only friends the Heir has made...”
—A Brothel Somewhere In The Desert City Of Sya—
A finely dressed man stoically escorted a father and daughter through the various explicit halls of the brothel, ignoring the unavoidable sounds being heard throughout, and guided them straight to the brothel owner’s office. Although the man kept to himself, it was clear to him the father was a horrible, disgusting, and selfish man, desperate only for more coins to help him survive; while the daughter was a starving, filthy, and beaten young girl, forcibly shackled by her hands and dragged along to be sold-off against her will. The sight was tragic, though he felt relieved to know a just punishment would’ve already been delivered.
When they had arrived in front of the brothel owner’s office, the finely dressed man politely knocked on the door, saying “Mistress Dahlia, I’ve brought the man who demanded to renegotiate the amount he wished to sell his slave for, as well as the said slave itself.”
“Are you referring to the man who also sold his wife to us a few weeks ago?” Dahlia questioned from her desk.
“Correct, Mistress Dahlia.” confirmed the man.
“Ah, yes, I remember.” said Dahlia, somewhat recalling the details. “Alright, let them in.”
The man opened the doors, and gestured for the father and daughter to enter inside. There behind a desk at the back of the room, surrounded by countless sacks of coin, was a stunning middle-aged woman with azure coloured hair and crimson eyes. She adorned numerous priceless jewelry on her neck and hands, and wore a long lavish purple dress. When the two entered the room, the man stayed outside and closed the doors behind them, nodding to the father as he did so, and giving them and his mistress some privacy.
The father and daughter stood in front of Dahlia’s desk, but before she could address them, the young girl uttered to her “H-Help me… W-We have to get away from him!” Shaken and feeling absolutely terrified of the man who was her father.
“I believe you’re quite mistaken about this arrangement, child.” Mistress Dahlia chuckled in amusement. “But worry not, you’ll be in my good hands soon enough.”
“No, that’s not—” She stopped herself from continuing after her father gave her a stern and menacing look.
“Children should really learn to be quiet when adults are speaking, don’t you agree?” asked the father.
“Indeed they should.” Dahlia smilingly agreed. “Though it seems you’ve trained her well.”
“That’s what it seems like.” Grinning his teeth.
“And from what I recall, her mother was also very obedient when she was working here. Too bad she regrettably died after spending a night with a special VIP client who was being too rough with her.”
“Is that how she died? Hmph, it seems I was lied to.” The father angrily clenched his fist behind his back.
“Lied to? Do you know their name? I’ll be sure to reprimand them right away.” Dahlia assured him.
“No need. I’ve already dealt with that sorry excuse of a human before I came here.” A wicked smile began to grow on the father’s face, as his very skin then horrifically tore and shedded from his entire body, revealing a man wearing a long black cloak and a beautifully ornate porcelain mask. The shocking sight rightfully caused Dahlia to be frightened for her safety, but before she could even react, Omega already pulled his claymore from his Inventory and pressed the blade right against her throat.
“W-W-Wait, don’t kill me! You're a hired assassin, right? I can pay you double—No, triple what they’re offering!” Dahlia desperately pleaded. “Please, just let me live! Think about the girl, and how’d she feel about witnessing someone getting killed in front of her!”
“Now I believe you’re the mistaken one, Dahlia was it?” Revealing to her, “I am no assassin. And I couldn’t care less what this child continues to witness in this horribly corrupt, and twisted world. Besides, the kill count I can see over your head can’t lie, and it tells me the exact number of innocent lives you’ve played a part in taking throughout your despicable lifetime; and anyone with a number that ridiculously high doesn’t deserve to live in the perfect world I believe in.” Noting the unseen numbers floating directly above Dahlia’s head: 49,183 Innocents Lives Killed.
“I don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about, but your not gonna get away with this! Do you know who I am!? I’m—”
Omega spoke over her, uttering “Killer’s Murder Room.” causing the entire room to be rapidly filled with a blackened smoke that took the shape of the room. Once the smoke finished taking shape and settled in the space, Omega immediately began heartlessly torturing Dahlia without any restraint or concern of being heard. Dahlia desperately cried out in excruciating pain and dying agony, while the young girl screamed in horror at the gruesome and bloody sight Omega savagely displayed for her; yet not a single one of their voices could escape the strange nature of the room.
After he was fully satisfied with his new kill and absorbed the excessive amounts of black essence from killing Dahlia, Omega deactivated his Killer’s Murder Room Skill, and exited the office already wearing Dahlia’s skin as if it were his own. “Harbinger Scythe mentioned your methods were a little twisted, but this more than a little...” The man waiting outside remarked, peeking inside the office at the bloody mess Omega left behind. “Though I really can't deny your perfect disguise. If I hadn’t known beforehand, I truly wouldn’t have known you weren’t Dahlia.”
“That’s Mistress Dahlia to you.” Omega corrected, even perfectly mimicking Dahlia’s voice.
“Y-Yes, Mistress Dahlia…” stammered the man, disturbed by Omega's uncanny portrayal of Dahlia.
“You’ll clean up the mess and dispose of the body, yes?”
“Correct. And as per your request, I’ll recreate your murder somewhere in the city exactly as you’ve left it here.
“Then I suppose I have no qualms with that.” However, before Omega went on his way, he looked back at the traumatized young girl, and asked “What about her? Does Scythe expect me to cleanse her in death too?”
“N-No, no! Of course not! Are you crazy!?” Telling Omega, “The girl will simply be taken in by the Church or the Order, and then likely raised to be a devout follower of the Goddess of Death with other orphaned children, until she’s old enough to live on her own and make her own choices in life.”
“Bring her to the Order.” Omega decidingly instructed. “The undoubtedly inner trauma I caused from killing her father and Dahlia, two of her mother's murders, in front of her will become a perfect tool for her to use to help us cleanse the world of all the despicable scum running amok in the future. She simply needs to be nurtured and developed correctly. Oh, and tell the girl if she gets strong enough, she might even have the honour of killing me for all the atrocious and heinous crimes I’ve committed in my past life.”
Watching Omega nonchalantly leaving in his previous mistress’ skin after saying such baffling things, the man asked himself “Just where in the hell did Lady Scythe find a crazy bastard like that?”
—Madam Hildegard’s Practice Chamber In The Bardic School Of Symphonies—
“All artists need to find their muse.” stated Madam Hildegard, intently listening to every note Xian was beautifully playing on his guzheng—the music perfectly reverberating in the throughout the enitre chamber. “Be it a painter drawing on a canvas, a sculptor chiseling blocks of stone, or a bard playing their instrument; muses are what inspire our creativity to flourishing crescendo and ascend onto higher scales!” asking, “Now tell me, Xian, have you found your muse yet?”
“I’m not sure if I would call her my muse, Madam Hildegard, but there was a woman I only met for a moment back in the town of Asheton, and since then I haven’t been able to get the thought of her out of my mind.” Xian smiled, already figuring out who exactly he met back then, as only one person was known for creating such art in Asheton amongst the Players.
“Ooh, so a beautiful maiden has already captured the heart of my young bard, I see. Well I suppose that’s fine enough, as they do say there is no greater muse for a man than a woman they’ve helplessly fallen deeply in love with.”
“I wouldn’t go that far, Madam—”
Madam Hildegard silenced Xian with a gesture, and advised him “As an official new Bard of the Symphonies and my personal protégé, you should know to never, ever deny your heart of its true feelings. For emotions played by the heart are the most powerful instrument any true bard carries with them. Remember that, my dear young bard.”
“Yes, Madam Hildegard.” Xian nodded in understanding.
“If you understand, then let me hear the true emotions played by your heart.” She said, pointing to Xian’s heart. “I wish to listen to see if you really have found your muse.”
“Alright, I’ll try.” replied Xian, momentarily stopping to take a moment to vividly imagine his muse.
Taking a deep breath, Xian began to pour his full emotions into his play, completely imbuing his guzheng and music with those very feelings he felt hidden within his heart. The magic-imbued music naturally took the form of a perfect woman. She mesmerizingly painted the whole chamber in colourful music, and happily danced along with the pleasant melody of the song being played. The incredibly immense magical sound however could no longer be contained within the walls of the chamber, and forcefully blasted the stone doors wide open, allowing Xian’s music to echo and be heard throughout the entirety of the Bardic School of Symphonies.

All who heard the enchanting melody, from the numerous students wandering the halls, to the classrooms filled with teachers and students, all became helplessly enthralled and drawn in by the captivating music. Before long, Madam Hildegard’s practice chamber became an impromptu concert hall filled with countless people who came to witness Xian’s one-man performance, with many more people pushing through and crowding the outside just to discover who the source of the irresistible music was. Though Xian was completely oblivious to any of them, and was instead deeply entranced and lost within his own music. And it was at that moment an amazing message appeared in front of Xian, shockingly causing his instrument to emit an overwhelming godly glow.
‘Stradivari’ has received immense growth through the overwhelming soulful connection it felt with your Music filled with true emotions, and is now evolving to match its new desire to create more awe-inspiring Music.
—Essex’s & Zosimos’ Private Study Within The Spiral Towers—
“Ess! Ess! Ess!” shouted Zosimos, excessively shaking the large comatose body of Essex. “Damn it, Essex, wake up already! The North Tower Master called you to discuss with him our newly discovered method for creating potions like an hour ago!” directly shouting in her ear, “HEY! DID YOU HEAR ME? I SAID WAKE UP!” After even that didn’t work, and concluding any other efforts would also be useless, Zosimos thought of a different way to get Essex to do what he wanted. He immediately ran out of the study and then came back a few minutes later with a freshly baked fragrant-scented cake. After Essex’s nose got a whiff of the delicious smell, her body unconsciously stood up from her broken and flattened chair, and began sleepwalking her way towards the cake. “Haha… Food and alchemy really are the only things stuck in that brilliant mind of yours, Ess.” Zosimos laughed to himself, levitating the cake out into the hallway, with Essex sleepwalking right after it.
Guiding the way through the various maze-like halls and hallways of the Spiral Towers, Zosimos continued to levitate the cake just out of Essex's reach, causing her to thoughtlessly follow his lead without her usual tendencies to wander off after smelling something she wanted to eat. Though the strange sight of them evidently fooling around in such a prestigious place rightfully caught the attention of many of the newer and senior mages they passed by on their way to the North Tower.
The mocking whispers and general contempt for the two quickly grew in the short time they’ve been here, gaining them infamous notoriety for their eccentric behaviours, and abrasive personalities throughout the towers; as well as being known for their plain lack of dignity, class, and respect for others and their seniors. Zosimos knew their poor reputation was already causing their unprecedented achievements to be undermined by their fellow peers, but he also knew he couldn’t say or do anything to change their minds, as Essex would undoubtedly continue to be herself, and solely be the reason everyone saw them in such a terrible light. Although the only reason Zosimos was associated with Essex was because the Tower Masters forced him to be her personal acolyte as a condition of his acceptance, as per the undeniable demand Essex made when she alone was accepted into the Circle of Mages.
Eventually finding themselves standing in front of the North Tower Master in his large private study, the robed old man stammered a question in shock, asking “C-Care to explain what the meaning of this is, Acolyte Zosimos?” Utterly baffled at the sight of Essex swallowing an entire cake whole when she was obviously still presently asleep in front of them.
“Uhhh…" Zosimos hesitantly answered, "To put it plainly, sir, this is Essex's midday nap and snack...”
—The Colosseum Of Tytus Inside The Volcanic Heart Of Norik—
The resounding roars of tens of thousands of spectators continued to erupt throughout the entire colosseum, loudly cheering at the intense battle between a single gladiator and the many waves of enslaved monsters. “What did I tell you, my fellow spectators, she’s the new rising-star of the colosseum!” The colosseum announcer exclaimed in excitement, continuing to magically project his voice for the whole colosseum to hear. “After only appearing a little over a fortnight ago, and relentlessly fighting her way through all the lesser and higher ranks of the gladiators, the mysterious newcomer is truly making a name for herself in the Arena of War! And although no one knows her true identity under that unbreakable horned-mask of hers, here in the Colosseum of Tytus, she is known to all of us as the Valkyrie!”
The crowds of spectators began to chant, “Valkyrie! Valkyrie! Valkyrie!” but they stopped to be in awe after one of the two large Behemoths was incredibly tossed across the other side of arena by the tail, while the other was grabbed by the horns and had its neck forcefully twisted and broken by pure ferocious might.
“W-Wow! What incredible strength!” The announcer voiced in utter astoundment, with the whole colosseum sharing the same excitement and thrill after watching such an amazing feat of strength. “Besides Dratyr the Giantslayer, the Champion of One, as well as the current Champion of the Colosseum himself, I would say not even the other Champions possess such raw mountainous strength! And given how she’s already survived to make it to the second to last wave, Valkyrie really might defeat all the monsters on her first ever attempt at the Trial of Many!" emphasizing, "This would make her the first to accomplish the glorious feat in over two long centuries, and would of course gain her the right to challenge the current Champion of Many to claim the title and glory for herself as the new Champion of Many!”
Cheering and chanting in anticipation, the crowds watched as their Valkyrie savagely ripped the very horns she held right out of the slain behemoth’s head, and effortlessly carried them as if they were nothing more than large wooden logs—one in each hand. And as the other behemoth finally recovered and came charging towards her, she simply pulled her arms back as far as she could, and then hurled one of the horns directly at the behemoth’s chest. The powerful throw made the attack impossible to avoid, and with the horn being that of a behemoth, it was strong enough to pierce its steel-like hide, impaling the beast straight through the chest and almost instantly slaying it with a single attack.
The crowds reactively rose from their seats and roared in more excitement, again chanting “Valkyrie! Valkyrie! Valkyrie!”
“I might just be a prisoner of the moment, and this may be blasphemous to say in his colosseum, but I truly believe it’s as if we are witnessing the second coming Tytus himself, the God of War!” After uttering such a bold statement, the entire colosseum suddenly became completely silent, and all eyes shifted to the King’s Box where the Colosseum’s Owner and Champions were all spectating from. However, the Colosseum's Owner simply chuckled at the statement, and then gestured for the last monster to be sent out immediately.
The announcer sighed in relief and resumed projecting his voice to the colosseum, announcing “Well my fellow spectators, this is what we’ve all been waiting for!” The largest gate in the arena began being raised, and an enormous chained figure could be seen standing behind it. “Allow me to present to you all the newly captured final monster of the Trial of Many! The Fallen King of the Giants, Brimir the Forsaken!” An extremely muscular, heavily scarred, and pale purple-skinned giant was escorted by 1,000 soldiers and 100 mages; and while the giant was being forcefully dragged into the arena by magic-imbued chains, the whole colosseum erupted into boos and jeers directed at giant and his race.
“Ah, so he’s the giant I’ve been searching for...” Lavie smirked, staring up at the giant who stood over 30ft tall and towered over the entire arena. “Looks like I’ll be able to complete my Quest faster than I expected.”

Heavily panting after the tough battle with their pursuers, whilst also having been forced to be on the run for countless hours, Dream leaned against the hidden cave entrance she found, and tiredly said “Okay… I think we’re in the clear now... Thanks for protecting us all this time... You guys can come and have a good long rest now...” And unquestionably following their new Master’s orders, dozens of unique and exotic monsters all came rushing back from the forest, returning to Dream as vibrant tattoos on the different parts of her body.
“Haha, what are you, some kind of glorified petting zoo or something?” Faust snarkingly remarked, collapsing out from the nearby treeline covered in several grievous wounds all along his body.
“That’s already the 10th time you made that joke, dummy.” replied Dream, rolling her eyes and trying to hide her immediate concern for him. “And look who’s talking, you're an entire monster bestiary, you freakshow.”
“Ouch.” said Faust, pretending to be offended. “Too far, Dream, too far...”
“What? Freakshow is too far? Oh, you’re such a snowflake.” Dream played along.
“Snowflake? How dare you! I’m even more off—” Faust suddenly started to cough up copious amounts of blood.
“See what happens when you joke around and do dumb stuff like using fake outrage.” Dream responded, worryingly walking over to him. “Now are you gonna let me heal you now or what?”
“I-I’m…” Faust painfully forced himself to stand up, “...completely...fine!”
“Why do you have to be so annoyingly stubborn, huh?” Dream argued in frustration, sincerely wanting to help him right now. “You didn’t even let me heal you when you were brutally beaten by all those slave traders before, or when were freeing all those monsters and slaves yesterday and you got mistakenly attacked by some of them.”
“I told you… I’m leveling up a—”
Before he could finish his sentence, Faust lost all consciousness, but before he could collapse onto the ground again, Dream was right there to hold him up by her shoulder. “Jeez, you really are the dumbest boy I’ve ever met, you know?” Warmly smiling at him as she carried him inside the hidden cave entrance.

Eyes Thalion Ven’Thyl
Proposed Contract Details:
1. ‘Tobias Casper Grim’ will steal, copy, and collect all the ‘True Runes’ that he comes across in Novus for a payment of 100 Gold each from ‘Eyes Thalion Ven’Thyl’ (1/10th of the Market Price).
2. In exchange for free use and transportation of all collected ‘True Runes’, ‘Tobias Casper Grim’ will actively hunt down any and all other Assassins/Mercenaries that are hired to kill ‘Eyes Thalion Ven’Thyl’ (I can even kill their Employers directly if you’d like).
That’s all the details I came up with so far, but feel free to counter or add your own conditions if you have any.
Hey, I’ve just scoped out both the areas outside, and the public ones inside the Transport Tower in Leon. So what do you think, are you ready to hire me?
Eyes- Oh, you did? Well I’m sorry for ghosting you until now, but it all looks good to me, so yeah I’ll hire you!
Understood. Though before I start, I think you should know, I've been hearing more and more rumors of extremely wealthy people hiring High-Ranking Underground Guild Members to kill someone who matches your exact description, and who’s from the same Elven House you told us you were in.
Eyes- Yeah, I‘ve heard those rumors too. And yes they are true, and yes it is me they want to kill.
Want me to deal with them for you?
Eyes- Nah. As long as I’m in the city of Ven’Thyl, I think my House Members are more than enough to handle them for me. Although if you do find some spare time, could you find out who’s all hiring these people to kill me? Oh, and they could be useful, so don’t kill them if you don’t have to.
I’ll see what I can find.
Eyes- Thanks, ‘cause it sounds like the bounty on my head is only going to get higher the longer I stay alive.
It sure is, and I’m also sure it’s only a matter of time before I get approached and hired to kill you...
Eyes- …
Haha, that was a joke. Probably…
Eyes- ...
Kidding.
And besides, after I dealt with the messy betrayal that got me killed back on Earth a few days ago, I’ve now come to realize what I really want to do here on Novus.
Eyes- And that is?
In my previous life, I’ve always allowed others to dictate the jobs and assignments I took/accepted, and the people I interacted with, as simply executing what needed to be done was much easier than having to dictate things myself. But that lack of control, and trusting the wrong people is what got me killed in the end. So I think for this current life, I’ve decided that I want to be more greedy and dictate everything, and that starts by taking complete and utter control.
Eyes- What do you mean by that?
3. When ‘Tobias Casper Grim’ inevitably takes over the entirety of the Adventurer’s/Underground Guild in all the Kingdoms of Novus, and a Kingdom for himself in the future, he will ensure the complete safety of ‘Eyes Thalion Ven’Thyl’ from the Guild and his Kingdom, while also giving ‘Eyes Thalion Ven’Thyl’ full support in whatever endeavors he may have.
Eyes- Another condition? Except woah, that’s pretty ambitious! But if that’s what you want to do, go for it! Just let me know if you ever need any help to accomplish that goal.
Oh, I will.
Eyes- But wait a sec, why would you say you would give me your full support? I mean that wasn’t even part of our original deal to get the True Runes?
Well from what all the rumors are saying about you, and seeing as how you just confirmed them to be true, it sounds like you're the only remaining Heir to the Elven Throne. Which means you're already the next in line to be Elven King! So actually, it’d be pretty stupid of me not to try and cozy up and win favor of the Future King of the Elves, don’t you think?
Eyes- Ugh… Not you too...
However...
4. All previous conditions above become void if either ‘Eyes Thalion Ven’Thyl’ or ‘Tobias Casper Grim’ ever betray each other in any way and inform others of their shared deeds (I will come and kill you).
Now do you still want to hire me?
Eyes- The scary threat was totally unnecessary, but yeah I‘ll still hire you.
Alright, then I better get started.
Eyes- Okay. Goodluck!
Closing his Menu, Tobias walked straight into the Transport Tower with full confidence in accomplishing his set goal, and directly approached one of the Tower Mages in the back who was currently organizing the library of books. Without the notice of a single person, Tobias silently choked-out the mage with his chain—until their whole body went limp in his arms—and then forcibly entered into it and completely possessed it for his own. And after learning just how weak the bodies of these mages really were, infiltration through the different restricted areas within Transport Tower became nothing but trivial for Tobias.
