Chapter 3

“Bearer of Luck and Fate, it’s a pleasure to finally make your acquaintance.” The voice didn’t even sound human, it felt like drums all around me and directly speaking to my soul, I didn’t feel threatened by it, but I knew that if I made a mistake when I spoke to him, or even anyone present here I would be instantly erased from existence.

But where even is here? I am in a white landscape that doesn’t seem to end, surrounded by beings of all races, from elves, orcs, humans, demons, dwarves, demons, Beast folks, and even more, some I recognised as the Gods prayed by the humans. In contrast, the others were the Gods of the other races, a most likely correct guess.

I immediately recognized the one who had spoken, after all, he was the statue, I had been praying to just a few seconds before, a being of infinite power, prayed by all races, the God of the Sun.

My brain was being overwhelmed by the number of information it was getting attacked by, I was trying to rationalize what was happening, grasp the reason why I had been summoned, and it all came down to one singular factor, I am Luck Chosen and Fate Enemy

My body reacted on its own, hoping that my reaction hadn’t been too late, and I knelt in front of Helios, the name of the God of the Sun, to show respect.

“For someone who will face such a future you are quite weak, but everyone must start from somewhere, will you be able to face such a difficult future? Only time will tell.” Those were said while a smile adorned God’s face, neither disrespect nor respect could be recognized in his tone, only curiosity.

While continuing to look on the ground I finally dared to speak: “May I speak?” I had tried to make myself sound as weak as possible, the last thing I wish for is to somehow disrespect him and get killed by the fucking Sun.

“Your words will be heard.” He said, his curiosity now reaching its peak.

“As much as an honour it is to meet the Gods, for what reason have I been brought here? As far as I knew I was supposed to get my Class and nothing more.”

“While your fate has already been sealed in stone by your greatest enemy, Luck has decided to give you the highest opportunity she could to make you survive, that’s why we all will give you, our blessing.”

“I am sorry, You what?”

“HEAR MY WORDS SUN/MOON/MAGIC/WAR/FIRE/… MAKE THIS CHILD THE BRINGERER OF OUR POWERS.”

You don’t want to know what hearing more than 100 voices all coming from God feels like, it felt like my whole body, down to the bones was shaking from the force behind those simple words, my hears felt like they were about to explode, and my bones ready to crack, my muscles to tear apart, and my organs were ready to fail if pushed a little more.

“May this be enough child of Luck and Fate; may your future be filled with adventure.”

.

.

.

Those were Helios’s last words before I disappeared from the white world and found myself back in the middle of the church, still kneeling in front of the statue of Helios.

“So? What class did you get?” Martha asks while poking my side.

Still shaken by what had just happened I didn’t answer and instead looked around the room, at the statues of the Gods, the Aura I had been previously feeling from them now amplified by a large magnitude, everything felt much… easier to understand.

“How many times do I have to tell you, Martha? It’s rude to ask for people’s classes.”

“But you Analyse whenever you meet a new Traveler.”

“That is a burden given to me by the Gods to help them, as rude as doing something like that may be, I have to do it.”

They continued bickering while James did nothing and continued staring at me with a curious look.

Having the chance, I decided to look at my new trait, my new skill and my class.

---

Blessing of Gods: You have been chosen by the Gods as the bearer of their stigma, granting you the power to master all skills, and grow past your limits.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

Jack Of All: But Master of None, for now at least, is a class created for the bearer of the stigma of the Gods, someone able to learn all skills, regardless the class or race, while others specify in only one subject you master all of them, but will you be able to do so?

Effects: All Skills will grow 50% faster, you can bring all skills to intermediate grade when levelling up all stats +1, rewards with the understanding skill.

Evolution Requirements: Must reach level 50 and must have 10 or more skills at intermediate grade.

Understanding Lv.1: Your ability to understand skills and traits and learn them yourself in the form of skills, this is a unique skill that will grow with your level.

---

‘… Isn’t this kind of broken? Ok sure, there are people with things like instant mastery, or bullshit like that, but this makes me able to learn everything, from traits to class-specific skills, can I learn monster skills? Fuse them? The possibilities are endless.’

“My class is called Jack of All, I can learn all skills regardless of the class, slightly faster than normal, up to the intermediate grade.” I decided to reveal some of my class’s effects, not revealing the race part.

That made the two stop discussing and look at me as if they had just seen a monster.

“C… Could you repeat that dear?” The nun, Amelia, I had heard the name during the discussion,

And I repeated the words I said before.

“… OK, not as good as 1000 times XP, but still, when was the last time a Traveler arrived with such a good class?”

“The last traveller with cheat was recorded in the Elf Forest more than 500 years ago,” James said as if he was repeating something from a book.

The books must correct then because we just found the cheat of the century.” Martha said while smiling.

“Martha, James, I hope in your ability to make this conversation and revelation a secret, the last thing I want is for another traveller…” She didn’t end the phrase, but her face looked crestfallen.

Both Martha and James then realized what she meant and didn’t look as interested and happy as before.

“What? What happens if people know?”

None of them said anything, until Amelia decided to speak again, telling everyone it was time to let me rest.

After saying goodbye to the two hunters, I was led by Amelia to a small room with a bed, a wardrobe, and a desk with a chair, all made of wood.

“Take these, all your answers will be answered while reading it.” She said while giving two big books, and then closing the door behind me.

One had the title in English and explained how to read and write in a common language, also named Hyrtum, while the other is titled * The History of the Travelers *

‘I guess I know what I will be doing for the next few days.’

And I did just that, apart from once in a while going out to use the bathroom, or eating in the cafeteria, which took a while to find, I remained in my room, reading the two books, until a new notification warned me that this style of life wasn’t exactly the best.

---

By not doing any physical exercise for more than 3 days, you have gained the status: Muscle Atrophy I

Muscle Atrophy: While under this effect you can only use 90% of your physical stats, to remove this status exercise for longer than 30 minutes.

---

And like that my new daily schedule started, early in the morning I would run around the church for about 1 hour, do some stretching to prevent any type of injury to the muscle that would be converted to a status effect, and then continue reading, I also asked Amelia if there was a library so that after finishing the two books she gave me I would be able to continue my reading.

What she told me brought me back to reality though.

“Those books were a present I gave you, other books must be bought, considering your current stats and skills I suggest you search for some work around the city and not try to be an adventurer, and if you try to become one, please don’t do quest higher than E rank until you have at least one combat skill at Beginner 50, I also have to tell you that when a month from your arrival has passed the church will ask you to pay a copper for your basic needs.”

…Shit, well I can’t exactly everything for free, am I right? She didn’t even need to give me those two books, but she still decided to help me, so I asked her if I could help around the church, unfortunately, the church was magically enchanted to remain constantly clean and all food was prepared through magic, so I had no way to help.

Thus, a week after my arrival, my research for work started. Apart from being able to speak two languages, read and write both of them and being able to run faster than I ever was before, I wasn’t very skilled in doing anything else, before going out though, I checked the skills I had trained in these days.

---

Basic Writing Lv.1=>26

Basic Reading Lv.1=>39

Basic Running Lv.2 =>9

Basic Polyglot Lv.1=>11

Endurance 10 23%

---

Something I had discovered during these days also was how to raise stats outside of levelling, when training a certain aspect of a stat, I would gain a percentage in that stat, and when that reached 100%, I would gain a status point in that stat, for example, I had raised my endurance percentage thanks to all the running I had done on my first day, and the morning jog during the week.

And so, my research for work started by asking Amelia if she had any idea where someone could need help.

“There is the Smithery that needs an errand boy, the Apothecary that needs a herb collector, and the Inn is searching for servers but I don’t think it would suit you unless you have a Charisma of 12 or above, you would make 0 tips and the pays isn’t very high.”

I nodded and decided to start with the Smithery, after she explained to me where all the buildings were located, I went outside, to search for them.

After not more than 30 minutes I reached my destination, The Old Sword, I would have thought the place to feel much hotter, but no heat came from inside, maybe some type of enchantment like with the church?

After calming my nerves, I opened the door, heard the jingle from a bell above the door and was welcomed by… a very hot woman with tan skin and blonde hair.

…DON’T GET HARD RIGHT NOW YOU STUPID SECOND BRAIN.

Trying to not stutter I returned to reality when the woman started speaking.

“Can I help you? Never seen you around.” The woman asked with a voice that felt like heaven to my heart.

Right, I am new around here, I need to make some money, and I wondered if you needed any type of help.”

“Can you clean?” She asked me while raising a blonde eyebrow.

“Yes, and I also learn faster than the rest.”

“Then welcome aboard.” She said while smiling and tossing me an apron.

‘Is it that easy?’

I then discovered why it was so easy to get this job.
