I slowly open my eyes, feeling like a million bucks and ready to face the day, unfortunately, my readiness died as soon as it came, instead of my room, my bed, and my house, I found myself on the ground of a forest, a clear sky above my head, and all around me the highest trees I had ever seen in whole life, towering over me with shadows big enough to cover small houses, my mind took a second to realise what was going on, but as soon as it did my body snapped into action.
I got up as fast as I could trying to understand what was happening, maybe a prank? A kidnapping? Aliens? I don't know what was going on, but I didn't like where this was going.

'...What the hell?' I thought while looking at the blue screen right in front of my face.
I tried to touch it, interact with it, and even tried to punch it, but the only thing that worked was waving it away with my hand, making it disappear leaving nothing behind apart from the feeling of uneasiness.
'Did they drug me? How powerful were those hallucinogens to make me believe I just saw a game interface?'
Just to be sure I even tried slapping myself, hoping that that would work, maybe I was dreaming? One of those super realistic Lucid dreams? Yeah, that must be.

Holding back the scream I wanted to let out, I calmed myself and tried to assess my situation: 'First of all, all of my personal information was correct, and my stats represented my body situation pretty accurately, there is magic in this world, that is not good at all, my atheism carried over to this world? Dimension? Universe? Don't know, and what did I even do to make Fate angry?'
Trying to understand what was going on I clicked on the information about my stats, and Traits, hoping for some explanation.

Luck Chosen/Fate Enemy: You are loved by Luck but hated by Fate.

'The last description is VERY helpful.' I thought with a sarcastic tone, I was about to open my skill tab when I saw the effect of Fate Enemy in action for the first time.
Standing right in front of me, a solitary wolf could be seen looking at me, not moving and showing its teeth, I could easily see his bones because of how thin he was, most likely he had been kicked out of the pack and he was searching for a prey... he had found one.
My fight or flight kicked on, and choose the flight tactic, like hell will I ever fight a fucking wolf, but my hope of running away was pure delusional, no matter how fast I could run, we are talking about a wolf, he might be weak or on his last leg, but he was still one of the most dangerous predators, I continued to run through, hoping to just lose him somehow, maybe he was weak enough to not have enough stamina to follow me? Right? Pure delusion I tell you.
Just before I could take another step something pierced my ankle making me fall and hit something with my head, I was about to faint but I resisted the urge and looked back at the world, the adrenalin in my body making me ignore the big bit made on my right ankle, and instead decided to make my focus on my surrounding to find anything I could use as a weapon, the wolf doesn't wait thought, and just as I had find something I could use, it lunged at me, aiming to bite my neck, in less then a second my face was covered in blood... not mine though.
The thing I had hit with my head was a skeleton that had a rusted sword on its side, and the thing I had used to defend myself was said sword, the effect of Luck Chosen had helped me survive my first interaction with Fate, I didn't come out unscented, but I still was alive, and that's the only important thing.
While heavily breathing I threw the body of the wolf to the side, the sword still stuck on his chest making blood come out and creating a puddle all around me, I had either hit the heart or some important vein making an enormous amount of blood come out.
The adrenaline started to fade and the damage I had reported from the small fight finally started to set in, apart from the bite on my ankle, and the possible bruise on my head, the wolf had decided to scratch my arms after I pierced its heart, trying to kill me even while dying.
'I must do something about the ankle, or I will die considering how much I am bleeding, or maybe the injury might infect.' I thought while trying to ignore the pain all over my body and think about the important things.
Removing the sword from the wolf's chest, which made me fall on my butt, I decided to tear a piece of my shirt and use it as a makeshift bandage to try and stop the bleeding, not the most sanitary choice, but the only one I could make.
Slowly getting up, I notice a wall of Notifications all in front of my face, they seemingly decided to not appear in the fight, ' Can it think?' I thought while pondering on how conscious these notifications were.

My mind finally snapped, tears started coming out of my eyes, while a laugh came out of my laugh, not a nervous laugh, but an actual heartful one, my mind trying to make me comprehend the situation but failing in doing so.
I had officially been isekaid, and I might have died in the first 10 minutes... what a lucky/unlucky start.
.
.
.
After an unknown amount of time later, a mental breakdown, and one of my most serious panic attacks, I came back to reality, realizing that instead of continuing to be sad and going further down the spiral of depression, I should instead move on and continue living, as a Thank you to Luck, and as a Fuck you to Fate.
Raising myself from the ground I tried to take some steps, to understand how much I could push my ankle before making the injury worse, finally settling for a slow walk I pondered on the direction I should choose.
‘Ok, human settlements, or not necessarily human considering I most likely am in a fantasy world, not the point here, living beings need several things to survive, water, a position that can be easily surveyed, and proper hunting grounds, this can be considering the hunting ground, so I need to find water and a plain area, and I might find a city.’
Trying to remember the knowledge I had about nature took longer than I had hoped, but when I finally remembered, that due to their nature, rivers can easily be heard in very quiet forests, unless they are very far away.

You have gained the Skill: Basic Survival

‘Useful considering my current situation.’
Ignoring the skill, I closed my eyes and focused on the sounds around me, hoping, praying, that what I remember was true and not just some bullshit you read on the internet.
After a minute of silence, my hopes were starting to fade, but when I heard something as if my ears had just been enhanced, I heard much further than before, letting me hear water.
Opening my eyes, the first thing I saw was a new skill called Basic Sense sharpening, I ignored it and instead followed the general direction where I heard the sound, keeping the same pace for the whole time, to not injure myself more than I already did.
After what felt like an eternity there it was, transparent gold, the bringer of life, I don’t how else to describe it, water, pure, not so sweat, water.
After getting near enough I drop to my knees and deep my face into what looked like a small-sized pond with a river starting from one of its sides, do ponds have sides? Who cares.
I continued chugging more and more water, only stopping when I seriously needed to breathe, which rewarded me with a Basic Breath Holding Skill, is there a skill for everything?
Just as I was about to take another breath I stopped breathing altogether, the feeling of metal pointed on my neck making me freeze in my place.
“Care to explain what you are doing here?” A feminine voice asked from behind me.
“Drinking?” I joked, hoping she wasn’t as serious as she sounded.
“I can see that, but why is an unclassed out here? How are you even unclassed when you are so old?”
“… Poverty?”
“Wait, don’t tell me you’re a Traveler?”
‘Busted on my first day? Great job Alex, very great job.’
“You could have said so sooner, I wouldn’t have treated you so badly.” She said while removing the knife from my throat and taking 5 steps back, letting me finally look at the woman who almost made a second mouth.
A woman with short brown hair and green eyes, wearing brown leather armour with metal in certain areas, two knives on her hips, a bow on her back, a quiver just above her butt, and a hood resting on her shoulders.
“A traveller? What do you mean?”
“I mean you have the World Traveler Trait, do you not? but it’s strange, why did you appear here? Usually, you bunch all appear in a church or at least near a city.”
‘Fuck you, Fate.’
“Regardless, how long have you been here? You look like shit.”
“… Maybe 2 hours?”
“… Someone must hate up there, you know that?”
“You have no idea how much that is true,” I told her relaxing my shoulders.
“Martha, is everything ok?” A masculine voice said from inside the forest.
A few seconds later a man wearing a similar armour to the woman, but with much more metal compared to the now-named woman, Martha, carrying a short sword on his side and a small shield attached to his left arm, he has brown hair just like Martha, but instead of green eyes, he has blue ones.
“Yeah, I think I just found the unluckiest Traveler in the world.”
“Did he spawn here? Someone must hate him up there.”
“That’s what I said.”
They continued joking around, but not feeling like chatting, I interrupted the discussion hoping to get to safety as fast as possible.
“As lovely as conversion is, what’s going to happen now?”
“Right, it’s going to get dark soon, so I suggest we all get back to the city.”
At those words my mind finally relaxed, I was about to faint considering how tired I was, but after another level up in Basic Faint Resistance I remained standing, knowing that these two wouldn’t feel happy if they had to carry me around.
Finally having a chance, I decided to check my skills tab, it being the only thing I hadn’t checked until now.
