Extra! The stage is set!
Narrator's POV
As the female walks past him, she has an angry expression displayed on her face as she vanishes into the building.
"Sorry........."
That is all Louis could say at that time, he regretted his word.
He re-compose himself, standing still. There a man who he wears the uniform, the white uniform with his sword strapped on his left waist.
"Louis-Sama! I come to deliver the message!"
Louis turns his head to the man who now bowed to him. With a stern, he speaks.
"Speak...."
The man who currently bowing to him raises his head, with a nod, he continues.
"We've gathered the Intel, it's about that someone from Forlean may associate with the prince Ralies's plan."
"We couldn't confirm the number yet, but there is a possibility that Lady Wiela is associated with the prince."
Louis raised his eyes brow, with a scoff, he speaks.
"She, a trustworthy?"
"Hmph! as expected of a scheming fox! I could prevent this, yet as an ignorant, I am, not notice the slightest thing that could've possibly ruin my plan."
With a more serious tone, he turns his back to his kin and ordered him.
"Keep a close eye on her and those who she made a contract with, make sure they did not notice your presence."
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
"And also, do not keep your eyes off this girl, an impulsive girl, Mei Sakumo."
"Yes, sir!"
With that, the man now disappeared into a flash of light. Louis remains where he stood. He walks around in the garden, he saw a rose, a red rose with its stem covered with a sharp thorn.
"So attractive, yet so dangerous if not careful."
He mumbles. Then he notices a presence, a presence that unknown to him.
"Show yourself! I know you were there all along."
He shouts, not too loud for the other to be heard. There a mist formed behind him, just about ten meters away from him.
"What does "HE" want?"
A figure wore a cloak to cover its identity, stood where it's appeared. No answer reply from it.
Louis turns around, with an annoyed expression, he quickly draws his blade from his waist and points it to the figure's neck.
It does not flinch even a bit, and with a blink of an eye. It jumps back to make a distance between Louis and it.
"I'm not the one who will tolerate the silent treatment. Speak or I'll send your head back to his throne!"
He keeps his stance while keeping his sight locked to it, yet the mysterious figure does not take back by his threaten words, instead, it takes a step forward. Alerted, Louis keeps his ground firm and steady, ready for retaliation.
"I've come to deliver her a letter, a girl, who are blessed with power, to rule the elements."
It speaks with a low voice, a voice that belonged to an old male. Louis raised his eyes brow and swing his blade to his side, sheathes it.
"She, a mere servant?"
He scoffed he doesn't mean to say she is a mere servant, yet his mouth already betrayed his heart countless times.
"A servant you said? Interesting."
A cloaked figure then walks and sit on one of the chair nearby, as he still calm as the wind blow violently between them. Louis reluctantly sighed and turn to look at the figure sideway.
"I may repeat that. What does "HE" want?!"
He empathizes with the word, "He" as he means the prince Ralies.
"Chuckle~"
There a chuckle escaped from the figure, he then takes something out from under his cloak. A scroll. The mysterious man then tosses it to Louis, and he catches it.
"it's for her."
"But! For you, a special guest. You could read its content. Don't think about destroying it. I've already prepared another one for her myself. If you do not wish to make any discord between you and precious her."
"Make sure you deliver that to her yourself."
Louis clutches the scroll tightly. Then the figure stood up, he pays a glace at Louis one last time, before he disappeared into a mist. Then, alone, Louis opens the scroll and reads its contents. He widened his eyes, feeling enraged, he burned the scroll, left nothing but ash.
"You, damn bastard!"
He cursed, and he walks back into the building.
