It took three days for the news of her passing to reach the capital. This sad news broke the once balanced and peaceful empire. Because of her kind nature everyone was mourning and sadden because of her death.

And the emperor was furious he took immediate actions in finding the culprits. Everything is falling apart from this point onward. His followers all nodding and chipping in.

On the other hand, the Guardian family factions are trying to protect the general.

"Count Silver, if you speak without any evidence again, I would personally cut your head myself." One of the Duke followers speak furiously.

"Your majesty please give me the permission to cut his head for the act of treason and insulting the moon of the empire."

"Enough! All of you!" The emperor said calmly.

"We will decide the general responsibility later. Right now, I agree that we must find the swine who dares to touch my beloved wife."

"Maquis Kidemónas, have the assassins confessed who hired them yet?" The emperor asked with burning rage toward his father-in-law.

"I apologize your majesty but all of them have taken their own life." The old Maquis said sadly while bow down to the emperor.

While looking at the Duke factions the emperor sighs and says with rage "Because of the general incompetent he will be demoted and banished from the capital, his general title will be taken from him but his achievement in defending the borders against those barbarians will take into consideration and I will demote him to the position of the head of bodyguard and sword instructor for the second prince instead.”

The Duke interrupted “Aren’t you going too easy on him too much your majesty? Even if he's the late queen's brother..."

"Duke, do not push your luck! How dare you interrupted me while I speak. " said glaringly.

"His position will be given to Count Silver, and the second prince will remain in the north with his maternal family."

Despite his anger and sadness of his beloved wife passing away the emperor done his job in his own way in protecting their beloved son. Trying to maintain the fragile peace that currently have in the capital he banishes his right-hand man toward the north entrusting him with the duty of protecting and teaching his son in the way of the sword.
