Chapter 3: I Have Territory To Manage Already?!

Six months passed by like a blink of an eye...is what I wish happened!

But instead, it was an incredibly long boring six months that 70% of which felt like it was filled with studying!

Kingdom maps, surrounding kingdom maps, magical theory, names of noble houses, details about the international laws, science, math, language studies, and more!

It was completely overwhelming and annoying!

Furthermore, when they saw me finish one subject, they gave me more! And tests, an endless amount of tests! I think I used Thought Acceleration to the limit! I even pushed the limits on my Enhanced Concentration skill. At least memorization was not too difficult, because any knowledge I seem to get gets archived.

But my teachers got more and more brutal the further I went.   I guess this was a punishment, but wasn't this taking it too far?  They started to throw stuff that seemed like high school material at me!  

Izra and Izri helped of course, and even tried to learn along side me, but while they did do a fairly decent job at keeping up, it seemed I accidentally outpaced them.  Well, I was a high schooler before I reincarnated, so that made sense.

And then, after the six months was over, dad told me that I had done enough and told me to just go play and have fun, so I did.  He seemed rather relieved too as I was happy to get away from the endless studying.   I guess it was probably tough on him, to give out a punishment to his own child since he is known for being so kind.

Well, I dont want to get in trouble either, so lets avoid getting in trouble in the future!  Its time to enjoy some fluffiness...err, I mean.....its time to have some fun!

The King sighed when he read the reports.  The reports were from the tutors that were supposed to be in charge of his son's punishment...although halfway through, it turned into mutterings of despair.

It wasn't that he was not a good student...but rather, he was too good.  He was completing things so quickly, they thought he might not be taking it seriously, so they issued some tests.  But, not only did he get every question right, he pointed out a few mistakes in the grammar of the wordings for the tests, and also revealed a few other things.

However, the scholars still had their pride, and did not want to get defeated so easily, so they kept giving him harder material.

But he proceeded to absorb all of it and then passed again.

And so this cycle continued.  When the king saw his son did not become some weird study maniac, and went out to play, he was relieved.  It meant he had not accidentally caused some weird personality twist in his son.   That said, although he could delay it a little, there was another thing...a great tradition.

Once a member of a Royal Family acquired a certain amount of knowledge, they would be given territory to manage.  However, Zyr was only eight years old.  The King was concerned about that, but also...

"Ahhhhg!  I cant believe my little brother beat me!"  Azamus cried as he saw his little brother doing better then him academically.  Even if he was a musclehead, even he could not just ignore this development.  After all, he was now the only sibling not governing land.

"Well, its not that odd right?  I actuallyed started before him" Lia, or rather Liathalmus, mentioned.  She had actually recieved her first territory at age seven, so Zyr had not broken any records.  

"Honestly, you are both monsters" Ruzella "Sword Princess" Ryzamer mentioned, her appearance looking both elegant and cute at the same time.  Of course, their family all had various cute traits.  Cheeks that looked beyond cute and pinchable.  A child like face that is clearly very expressive.  Tails and ears that clearly indicate their emotions.

Of course, the older siblings and the King did look a bit more mature and dignified, but that was only natural.

"...says the one known as the Sword Princess" the oldest sibling, Ezaro "First Prince" Ryzamer mentioned.

"Anyways, I will begin preparing things for him.  Since he is still quite young, make sure you give him your full support everyone!"

"Incidentally, what territory are you thinking of giving him?"

The King smiled, and took out a map of their kindgom.  He then pointed out a specific area.

"This spot should be perfect for him!"

"Ah.  Yeah, that is a nice territory".

"To think he would get that place..."

"Isn't there some strong enemies to fight as well?  So jealous..."

"Ahhh....its not the Ardiac Library, but I think their library also has a good supply of books".

And so, a week later....and I was traveling across the Kingdom.  With me was my four closest attendents, one of which was actually my bodyguard.  Izra, the unbelievably cute wolfkin boy, had a small sword strapped to his waist.  He had recieved instruction from my oldest brother, and seemed to be quite good, but his real specialty was his Shadow Magic that was weirdly advanced.  Apparently it was something he was born with. 

He had been doing his job dilligently as my pillow...err, I mean, my bodyfuard.  His cute wolf ears was one thing, but even his face was cute!  His cute, round eyes!  His adorable smile!  His body proportions were all very cute!  It was like a cuteness overload!  One would never expect he was my bodyguard!

Incidnetally, to increase his strength and speed, he wore enchanted rings and bracelets that enhanced speed and strength.  His boots also improved speed while quieting his footsteps, and his clothes were actually made of high quality monster materials and had protective enchantments, just like mine.

His sister was also there.  Usually when traveling, she would wear normal clothes easy to move in, but she recently got a new maid outfit, and was showing it off.  It also made her look super cute!  Perhaps because they were twins, but she had the same features as her brother.  THey were even similar in height.  Incidentally, she seemed to have a good affinity for daggers, flame magic, spacial magic, healing magic, and defense magic.

Then there were the two I had when I first woke up, Ella the maid who was a bit older then all of us, and Riozama, a boy who was also slightly older then us.

They had been very thankful when the number of helpers increased, since I could be quite hard to manage at times.

And so, us five were heading off.  Though, we would be meeting up with others.  That said...

"...I cant believe I am getting a territory already!"

"Well, most of the time you will be at the Royal capital, and there will be people to manage it while your there.  But its like a training experience" Riozama mentioned.

At the moment, we were all riding a train.  It was interesting, but at some point about fourty years ago, a Hero who was summoned to this world to help fight the Demon King at that time ended up spreading knowledge about trains, so the Kingdom had adopted a railway network.  However, there was a limit.  There was only three railways, they were all small, and they didn't go near the borders. 

The one we are in heads southwest.  The second one heads to the north.  And the final one heads east, and a bit south.  Because of that, most trade and travel happens through caravans, carriages, and such.  But the three major cities in each direction are connected this way, and it has still improved trade and travel in the region.  

As for the territory he had been assigned, it appeared to have quite a few mountains and forests. 

However, there was something legendary about them.  Something that could not be ignored!

Hot Springs!  They had Hot Springs!

That is right, I am heading towards hot springs with a bunch of cuteness!  Ah, normal baths with the cuteness was great, but hot springs are special!  Hot Springs + Cuteness = the ultimate justice!  That is the math I use!

"Zyr has a very excited look, but also a satisfied look at the same time" Ella mentioned with a giggle, which made the twins sigh.  They understood that look all too well.  Well, its not like they minded it really.  They accepeted a lot of my quirks, especially since I saved them from a terrible fate.

"By the way..."

"...what should we do about them".

The twins asked that in a whisper, motioning to the people behind them....or rather, the robbers that were targeting them, who were preparing weapons.

"About that...I think we have sent more then enough blatent looks at them, but they did not react at all right?" I asked.  The others nodded.  "In that case, they are probably way weaker then those assassins....although, if those assassins had been the norm, I would have screamed and cried".

"...and yet you beat them so easily..."

"I had like, ten barriers set up at least!  It took them seconds to penetrate!  And they managed to even destroy the protective clothes I was wearing under all that!"

Riozama twitched a little hearing that.

"That is some level of unreasonableness...assassins that can penetrate multiple barriers in seconds, and use magic".

"Yeah...that fireball spell was scary and dangerous!"

"Well, the robbers seem like a pain to deal with".

"I will do it" Izra mentioned, giving himself a double fistpump.  Zyr thought that looked super cute.  "Even if they are weak, its my job to deal with this!"

I quickly used my skill, Analysis, to analyze both the would be robbers and Izra.  Izra, who also had been with me for the intense super study sessions, had learned quite a bit, but he also had taken combat lessons and absorbed those easily too.

Well, I would like to say its all him, but in truth I have a Cheat Skill called "Growth Aura".  It provides boosts to people's development and learning ability based on how hard they worked.  And due to the twins devotion to me after saving them and giving them a place to belong, they gave everything two hundred percent.  Thats not a random number or an estimation, my Cheats told me that.

Incidentally, I had unlocked another Cheat Skill which added a new function to my HUD, providing a party system.  With this, some of my skills would have a limited effect on those registered in my party.  At the moment, I had five people, including myself.

Anyways, it was clear that Izra would be okay, so I gave him the thumbs up.  Izra seemed to disappear right then and there, but in truth he did not use a stealth or teleportation skill.  This time.

This was his Super Acceleration.  After I told him about how I could seemingly accelerate my thoughts (though I didn't tell him the exact specifics or about the list of Cheat Skills exactly), he seemed to want to have a body that could keep up with my thinking speed, and used a combination of studying and physical training, along with his natural abilities.  Because of that, he could temporarily move at super speed for a few seconds, though it seemed he couldn't do it for too long or too many times without some draw backs.

"Hey, what the..." was a mutter we heard along with various violent noises.

"Would you like more tea?" Izri asked as she seemed to pull out a tea kettle and cup out of nowhere.

"Ah, thanks!"

She looks so cute as well!

And while I was thinking that...

Ahhhh....Prince Zyr looks so cute and heroic as well!  I cant wait to share a hot springs together!  I will wash his back, his body, everything I can to make him feel as great as possible!

Incidentally, Izri's innocent thoughts were purely innocent, but if anyone heard them, they would likely have huge misunderstandings.

Izra then walked back and almost took his seat, but then Zyr quickly snatched him up and placed his head on his lap, stroking his tail and patting his head.

"Good work, Izra!"

"Ah...thanks" Izra said, embarrassed.  He then felt Izri's jealousy just a little bit.

Its not like that Izri!  Rather, please take my place!

I would if I could!

The twins, who looked at each other, seemed to understand what each other was thinking.  Izra made pleading eyes to his sister and the others, who understood that the position he was in probably looked really embarrassing in public.  Izri however could not do anything in the wake of my smile, and the other two had already given up, prefering to save their strength for more important times.

However, eventually Izra was saved by the train reaching its destination.  With that, everyone stood up and departed, carrying our luggage on hand with us.  We would only be here for a few weeks at most probably, but we had to make the most of it.  And, the moment we departed...

"Zyzy!"

"Leo!"

A catkin boy ran up to me and tacklehugged me, which I recieved happily.

"Leo, what are you doing here!"

"YOu didn't think I would let you visit a fun and interesting like place without coming as well!"

It was my best friend and childhood friend, Leo.  He frequently came over to play, and was a member of a Duke Noble Family.  Incidentally, unlike what one might expect from cats and dogs, we did not fight like that and got along great.

Sometimes we even trained together!

For the record, he was a Silver Catkin, and his tail swayed happily as we both stood up.  He had cute silver eyes that were round and full of joy, and he even had a tooth that seemed to stick out of his mouth when he smiled that was extra cute.

It seemed that cuteness had spread far and wide in this kingdom, and that was something I loved!

He was about the same height as me.

"Anyways, come on come on!  The hot springs resort we will be staying at is all ready to go!  We just gotta get there!  They even have a training ground, and access to the mountains and forests, and really yummy food!"

"Yay!  We have no time to waste!"

I had to maximize the time I was hear soaking up cuteness!  This hot springs trip....err, I mean, Territory Management lesson had begun!

"So, the third prince of the Kingdom is here in Ishfall?" a dark cloaked man asked.  There were three of them, wearing black cloaks that seemed to only have the purpose of hiding their identities.  Adding to that, the room was dimly lit, with the only light directed at the old wooden table between them all.  On that table, a map of the region as well as various documents had been scattered around.  

Each of them had something to gain, and something to lose.  Each of them had their own interests and desires.  They took out a photograph of the group.  One of them began to drool as they saw it.

"...I forgot you liked them young.  Then, would you like them for yourself?"

"Of course...I imagine you are more interested in the goods anyways".

"So long as you give me the knowledge, I am fine with both of you taking the rest".

They nodded at each others words, and although no one could see them, sinister smiles crept up upon their faces.

An opportunity had appeared before them, and they planned to take it.
