I've been a longtime fan of Echoes of Revelo and have beaten the game countless times. It is one of the best JRPGs of all time, but there is one critical aspect of the game that all of us can agree on. IT'S TOO DAMN TRAGIC! The game is all about sacrifice and perseverance while managing multiple other factors later in the game. It's so difficult that it's impossible to win without losing at least one party of characters.
