Today I am going to the adventurer’s guild, and sign up as an adventurer. I don’t have any combat experiences, but I like to try for myself.
I can just use magic to kill some monsters, but I like to try using a sword.
After a great nap from the inn, I eat some food before going somewhere. The inn has food, that is come from what I paid itself. This inn has a good food, but it’s really different from my homeland. Of course, this is not the same world I came from, after all.
The people in the inn, are also eating their breakfast before heading out. This inn is really popular in this town.
After I finished my food, I leave my table, and head out.
I was now going to the adventurer’s guild, and sign up. I already cast Translate for myself, so I can read any signs.
The town itself was peaceful, and the people here seems happy. The people here are also respectful to each other, and I thought it was nice.
The road is different from my homeland, and the people here can freely cross it. There are no cars or any advance transportation here, and all I see was some horse and a carriage.
There are also some children in the streets, and having fun with each other, and playing.
I thought it was nice that all people here are getting along, and I also thought that the king here is responsible for all of this. While I was thinking that I arrived at the adventurer’s guild.
My clothes are still my school uniform, and I thought I’ll change it later when I have some money to spare. The people in the guild are also lively, there are men and women lining up to the receptionist. The receptionist here are all girls, is it just a coincidence? Or is it a requirement? Well not that I care.
The people inside have some like a fighter’s looking or something. Some of the women there held a bow in their hand, and arrow in their back. Some of the men there held a sphere, and some of them has sword on their waist. Judging from their appearance, those guys were tough.
I enter the adventurer’s guild, and went to the line of people waiting for their turn. Some of the people looks at me, but they lost interest in a second. I think my clothes were unusual for them, or I looked like a kid or something. Well not that I care, I am still fourteen years old anyways, so It’s not that surprising.
It is my turn, and I walked to the receptionist, and spoke up.
“I like to register as an adventurer.”
“Hm... You like to register as an adventurer? Here, please fill this up!” She said with a cheerful voice.
I looked at it, and it said Name the name and the Age. I picked up something that can write in papers. That something is like a pencil, but it has a different shape, though. I filled up my name and my age. After I finished, I gave it to the receptionist.
After a few minutes, she spoke up again.
“You’re now registered as an adventurer, please let me see your card.”
I gave my card to her, and she does something with it. After a few seconds, she gave it to me again, and spoke up.
“Here... Thank you so much.”
After she said that I walked away, and immediately look at my card. There is something different with it. I saw ‘Jobs: Adventurer [Rank: F]’.

It seems that there is a ranking system.
I thought it was cool that they have a ranking system like this.
I decided for today, I’ll be going to try accepting adventurer’s task. I walked towards the post wall, and there are many tasks for the adventurers to accept. There are two people looking at the post wall, so I’ll read one of it.
Hm... Let’s see... Dungeon Exploration? Explore the dungeon, and report what have you find to the adventurer’s guild.
I saw one of the tasks, and I thought it was good. I can explore it, and if I am lucky enough, and found some treasure, I can sell it to them. I can also sell some monster corpse if I found one. I can decide if I want to keep or sell whatever I found there. After exploring the dungeon, I need to report whatever I found in there. I glance once more to it, and found something.
Hm... Rank: [F – A]
It seems that every task needs the appropriate rank to do that specific task. I was lucky enough and found this Dungeon Exploration is appropriate for me to do it.
“Well, this is good” I muttered to myself.
As I muttered, I picked up the paper from the post wall, and give it to the receptionist. She was shocked that I will exploring a dungeon. She also said ‘Are you sure about this? There are many monsters there.’ and I replied a simple ‘Yes.’ and a nod. After I said that she just wrote something in a paper, and she said that it’s okay now, and I left the adventurer’s guild.
I thought it will take a while because I just registered as an adventurer today. It’s my first time experiencing this, because I have no combat experience.
I used my Location spell to go to the dungeon. This Location spell is really useful. If I use that spell, it will project a map in front of me, and it will also display where I was standing.
I arrived to the dungeon, at a glance, you can tell it that this is like a normal dungeon. It has stones, and grass surrounding it. There is a big hole, and it seemed that it was the entrance.
“This is pretty big...” I muttered to myself.
At the entrance there is a stairs leading down the dungeon itself. I decided that I’ll go in.
“Inventory”
I’ve used my spell to spawn my sword that I have bought yesterday. The sword itself was pretty light, and like a normal sword. I don’t need to worry about that though, I bought it because it’s the cheapest sword that I can buy.
Holding my sword in to my right hand, I walked in to the entrance silently. I didn’t see any monsters that will threaten me, though. There are some cobwebs in the ceiling and walls. It was getting darker as I walked in further, so I cast Fire: Small Sphere. As I cast that spell, a tiny fire is on my hand. I didn’t feel any heat because I am the one who cast it.
The tiny fire cast a light around me. That spell is useful if you don’t have anything that cast light when you go in to a dungeon or any dark places. I saw at the adventurer’s guild earlier that they have a light source like a light bulb, I think.
I walked further, and I saw a spider. It was big like a whole pig, and it has 6 feet. The spider’s eyes are completely red. I don’t know if this spider is harmful, but it looks like it. The spider charged after me. The spider opens his mouth, and at a glance you can see the spider’s teeth. The spider’s teeth are like a spike that will surely wound me deep if I bring my guard down. I used my sword to block it, and jump backwards. When I jumped, I used my Wind: Gale Storm, and focus my mana to my feet to make my jump high enough to fallback.
As I jump backward, I saw a red magic circle in front of the spider, and it seems that it can also cast magic.
I see... The red eyes are not just for show...
The red magic circle means it’s a fire magic. I thought I don’t want to wait for the spider to finish his magic, so I charged forward. Preparing my sword, I focus my mana to my right hand, and cast Ice basic magic spell, and my sword began to glow white with a little bit of blue. When the spider is now in my reach, I used my sword to slice the spider horizontally. I thought I need to use most of my strength to slice this single spider into half but it seems not. It slices like a butter. As I slice the spider, his whole body began to transform into ice, but I controlled the ice and cancel it. I think most of the people in this world are not aware of that, no, not just most, I think all of the people in this world, don’t know about it. I just learn this because of the knowledge that the goddess gave me. Now I don’t know how to carry this spider.
Wait a second, let me try it.
“Inventory”
I thought it was only going to work on things but it seems it works on corpses as well. As I used my Inventory spell, the spider’s corpse has disappeared, and it seems that I can carry it without doing anything.
I began walking further, and while I was walking, I hear a sound at the back. I turn around and saw many red eyes peeking at me. I stare at it for a few seconds as if trying to process what I see. A few seconds later, the red eyes, began to get bigger. Before I knew it, it was a horde of spider targeting me, chills ran down into my spine. They charged forward, and began to open their mouth. There are also spiders at the back too, and they are trying to cast a spell.
I focus my mana again into my right hand and cast Fire basic magic spell. As I cast it, my sword began to glow red crimson. I began to slice the spiders one by one. Every time I slice the spider, their body began to flame. I don’t want to lose any bounty, so I controlled the fire a bit, and try not to burn their whole body. I killed most of the spiders that was trying to charge at me, no, not most, but all of the spiders that trying to charge at me. For the spiders at the back trying to cast spells, before I can charge at them, a fire magic began to charge at me.
It seems that they finished casting the spell.
I quickly dodge it but there are many of them, and it is impossible to dodge all of them. Before the fire magic can hit me, I cast Water: Barrier. As I cast the spell, a blue like a sky water began to flow around me, it was now acting like an anti-fire barrier. A few seconds later the. A few seconds later the fire magic disappeared completely. I took this chance, and use my glowing red crimson sword to slice all of the spiders including spell casters.
I have slice all of them in half, and I used my Inventory spell to keep them. After I keep all of their corpses, I began to walk more further.
