As soon as we passed through the checkpoints, I asked for the carriage to be stopped.

Before I could complete my sentence, a small child bumped into me. And before I could even say something he was about to run off when suddenly one of the guards caught him.

He was holding one of my rings I had on. He tried to steal that from me in that split second.

When things got a little heated between the kid and the guard, a boy around my age came running towards us .

"I'm really sorry. Please forgive my little brother. Please! He will return that item to you."

"What do you think you will do after I release you? You will pickpocket someone else. I know you underground dogs running around here. I will hand over this guy to the security."

"Please forgive him. I even told him not to steal but he wouldn't listen. Please" The older brother started to cry right at the spot making a scene in the middle of the market .

"Owen let him go for now."

Owen, One of the guards, had light armor compared to his companion Jack. Who had heavy armor with a large handed Spear. It's similar to Sankaku yari,which had triangular blades. The one who left had a bow behind his back.

Even in all this commotion, the young boy didn't cry or seem to be in fear. Rather it seems he has seen this case a lot of times. So I just walks towards him and asked,

"Can you return my Ring". Even though I asked politely, the boy who seems to be 5 years old at maximum didn't return. Seeing this situation unfolding, his older brother snatched the ring from his hands to return it to me.

"We are very sorry. Please forgive us." He forced his brother's head to bow.While being in tears.

"Why did he steal it from me?"

" We haven't eaten anything for the past few days. Please, he is a little boy. Forgive him."

I went straight to the food stall nearby and gave him that ring.

"James! How long will this ring last if one man and a child ate twice a day?"

"Mostly three months younglord".

"Three months you say. Here! I'm the fourth Child of Duke Helstein, Hunter L. Helstein. Make sure they are being fed."

"And young man!" I turned my attention to the kid.

"Don't try to steal again. Let's leave, James."
