I was standing in front of the wooden fence that circles the entire village; to be exact, this is the part of the fence that was near my home.
The fence was made to be sturdy to keep the wild beast out of our farm; it's wide enough for one of my legs to step in comfortably.
This is the first idea of my new training.
I will walk on the wooden fence as my balance training.
Doing it while opening my eyes as a test, I start walking on it; the result is I cleared it easily.
Okay, the test is done now for the real thing. Coming back to the starting place, I close my eyes and take one step forward.
One step, two steps, three... and I fall down.
Even though the fence is not that tall, losing your footing can really make you surprised like no other.
Smiling as I get up, I start to climb the fence once again.
“Hmm.” I gather my strength and take one step forward.
Walking on a fence, while not a crime, is definitely not something that you usually do. That is why I am doing it when the sun is almost down, as the villagers are already in their homes at this time.
I walk with my arms spread wide to the side, like a bird ready to fly in the sky.
“Hmm hmm hmm-hmm-ack…”
Falling once again I return to the starting point and start walking once again.
…
After falling off the fence once again, I realized it is nighttime already, time for me to return back home; I pat my body to remove the dirt out of my clothes.
Closing my eyes, I sharpen my senses and put my leg forward, one at a time, toward my home.
Getting up in the morning, I got up from my bed and began the second idea that I got from watching a cat.
I sit and spread my leg, trying to touch the end of my foot with my hand. I stretch it as far as my body allows it.
Cats are flexible creatures; there must be a reason for that, right? Maybe it was needed to balance itself out.
My second idea is born from that kind of thinking, and now I add stretching to my schedule to make myself as flexible as a cat.
Thankfully, this is my rest day, so that means I can continue doing this without worrying about farming work.

Stretching is kind of easier than I thought it would be, I think?
Is this normal?
Hmm...
Better not think too much about that. If I am flexible, then isn’t that good enough?
That was what I thought as I made my way to my backyard where my shooting target was located.
My shooting is getting better and better; I can get some headshots from the scarecrow 4 out of 10 shots, and today as well, I will continue getting better and better...
Washing my face after shooting training, I went to get the food for our livestock.
Today is my rest day, but it didn’t let me skip feeding the animal.
Watching them while feeding, I get closer to the cow and touch its udder before starting to milk the cow.
Drinking the fresh cow milk is the only good thing I know of about being a farmer!
Between my training and my farming work, I continue to pass my days
... But the content of my training is still the same as ever.
Thankfully, my balance training bore fruit because instead of walking like a drunken blind person, now I can walk like a normal person while closing my eyes.
With that I can finish most of the training, but that is also the time when Cain made the training harder.
He tied a piece of meat in front of a dog and made the dog run after it.
While the dog is running after it, Cain told me to get the dog with my eyes closed.
He also hid more than twenty pieces of meatball all over the forest and asked me to find all of them, with my eyes closed, of course.
But the worst part of all, he told me to search for a yarn that he casually tossed into a river.
Diving while searching for it was a nightmare, especially since I still needed to close my eyes while looking for it.
I failed multiple times before succeeding.
The reason was because I have finally adapted to my super hearing; combined with my improved sense of smell, I managed to barely recover the yarn that I failed multiple times to get.
It was amazing how much a human can do if they put their mind into something.
When I finally finished that test, Cain finally said that I was done with training my sense of smell, and I can stop drinking that cursed potion.
Oh, how glad I am that I can finally stop drinking that cursed thing. They said that you can become used to anything if you do it long enough.
But it seems I still have not tasted that cursed thing long enough, as I still can’t get used to the rotten egg-like flavor …
But now it’s over; I can raise my hand in celebration, and at the same time as I completed my sense training, I also completed my archery training and proved to Cain that I am a capable archer.
Now I can shoot my target without missing anything... as long as it was not moving.
The moving target still eluded me sometimes, as I still missed my target if they sensed my killing intent.
Small animals like rabbits have an amazing survival instinct to warn them of incoming predators.
Cain told me to erase my presence by blending myself with the forest ...
What did I think when I heard that?
Easier said than done; how can a human become one with the forest? That sounds like a lot of bullshit.
So instead of doing what I was taught blindly, I made my own method of hunting.
I close my eyes and start to ‘see’ my surroundings.
I ‘see’ not with eyes but with my nose and ear.
Hearing the sound of the wind made me aware of my general surroundings.
Sniffing the smell allowed me to locate my target even with my eyes closed.
I released my arrow and shot at my target, and it struck my intended target and killed it.
I know even without looking.
The reason I can kill the rabbit is because I hide my killing intent by closing my eyes; intent comes mostly from the eyes after all.
So by hiding my eyes, I also hide my intention.
With this I am now a proper hunter.
I can totally make this my job now, as I don’t need Cain's charity to bribe my neighbor.
I can now use my own prey to bribe more of my neighbor.
“Ha ha ha ha ha ha.” I can’t help but laugh excitedly.
I shouted, “Goodbye, Farmer Life!”
‘It’s Now Hunter Time to Shine!’
I thought as I returned to the village with my newly gained prey
