Prime Minister, Thomas Scar, stood in front of the whole of the UK, news had already spread about the American president’s disappearance. Those who were awake for that speech would recognise the similar blue rock the Prime Minister held in his hand.
“Good morning, the UK,” He spoke in a serious tone, the usual humour he was known for missing, “For those who missed the speech given in America last night, I am here to inform you that over the next few weeks, you will need to go to a government building and be issued a data core.”
He held up the blue rock to the camera, “This data core is your refuge, giving you access to a safe haven for humanity, as within the next month the world will become far more dangerous than you can imagine. This new reality will allow us to train and become strong enough to survive on this new earth.”
The media erupted with questions of why, how and what, each question clamouring over each other that it just became noise. Each reporter trying to get answers before he disappeared like the president before him.

At the last words of his speech, he held the Core to his head and like Musk before him he vanished with the sound of ‘a’ like the meme he loved to quote.
Although the feat was precedented, silence followed the seemingly impossible act that had just taken place.
The feed cut back to the silent BBC presenters, who took a moment to realise the cameras were back on them.
