When Page Durand woke up, he was laying on a bed. He recognized the location almost instantly because it was the very same place that he died! He was back in his bedroom! Though he was now laying on his bed, and not sitting in his gaming chair, he was sure it was the place! The paint on the walls was the same color, and the window to his right showed the familiar scene of houses across the street.
But, this didn't make sense. Page thought he was going to start from the beginning, meaning he'd be born again! As it was looking, he had only gone back by a few years! He slowly looked around his room and saw more differences in the way he knew it from before his death.
His computer desk was gone! He had spent so many hours racking up achievements, but they were now all gone! His save files, too, all gone! Pain stuck Page's heart, but he was at least glad that he'd have the chance to do it all again. On the wall of the room, Page's anime girl posters were missing! The full-body picture of Sakura-chan was gone! This was even more painful than his computer being gone!
Page rolled over in his bed, almost ready to cry. Without Sakura-chan, his life had no meaning! But, that was only his previous life! He kept himself from crying and told himself that he'd get Sakura-chan back, plus a real girlfriend! He couldn't even use a computer to find a new image of Sakura-chan. It was very bad!
Pow!
Page hit himself in his head! He was getting so caught up in his favorite anime girl that he didn't notice how stupid his body was looking. He looked at his hands and arms, and they were like those from a little, little child! They had very few wrinkles, no muscles, and were even a little bit chubby! Suddenly, he realized he was wearing pajamas! He hadn't worn pajamas in years, all for the sake of getting closer to his Sakura-chan body pillow!
He threw the blanket off of him and ran out of his room, down the hall, and into the bathroom. There was a full-body mirror here, and it gave Page a perfect view of his new self.
He was tiny! He feared it on the run over, but now he had no choice other than to accept it! He was a child, again, so of course he'd be short! Page was the one who chose to restart his life, so it was his fault that he was short. If he had chosen to enter heaven, he could have kept his height. No, he could probably have made himself even taller!
There was no time for tears, and Page knew he'd eventually get his high back, so he looked up and continued to look himself in the mirror. His hair was short and fair, falling gentry to his eyes. He'd need a haircut, soon! Besides that, his hair was much different than the hair he previously had. He could push his fingers through it, and they'd encourage clean on the other side! It was a big difference from his previously greasy hair, where only an idiot would stick their fingers inside!
Everything about Page was like a baby! He was obviously a few years older than a baby, but it wasn't by much! Two or three, four years tops! His appearance reminded him of embarrassing family photos! He was young and stupid then, but now he's smart and an adult!
Though, the 'smart' part is merely self-described.
"Pa~ge!" Someone yelled from below!
Page heard someone call his name, yelling it through the house. They only said it one time, but it resonated like a sonic boom echoing over houses! Quick, he needed to hide his porn mags! Wait, Page didn't have any porn mags at this age, so what was his mother yelling at him for? That's right, the owner of the voice was Page's mother, Katherine Durand! He recognized it instantly!

"Pa~ge!" His mother yelled, again!
He didn't want to earn any more fury from his mother, so Page ran back into his room. Whatever he was doing, it must have been the wrong thing! Though he couldn't see his mother, she had somehow found out he was doing something wrong! If he wasn't careful, he'd get in trouble on his first day of his second attempt at his life!
Page ran into his room and shut the door behind him. For a few moments, he leaned his back against the closed door, feeling its rough wood press against his spine. Torrents of fear were running through his body. He hadn't been yelled at by his mother in years, not after he dropped out of college for the second time. Once she had given up, she just left him alone. Being yelled at was scary, and Page didn't even know why!
"We've got to go!" Katherine yelled, her voice dampened by the closed door.
Page thought about what his mother meant. They had to go? Go where? Page hadn't left his room in years, so why was he now required to go somewhere? Because he was now a child, obviously! Something from his past needed to be done again, but he didn't know what it was!
Suddenly, Page could hear footsteps outside his door! He wasn't paying attention when they started, but now someone was outside his door! Quickly, Page dashed across his room and jumped on his bed, landing halfway and crawling the rest. He finished by hiding on the side of his bed away from the door, crouching down until he couldn't be seen at all.
"What are you doing?!" Katherine yelled, storming into Page's room. "I'm going to be late for work if we don't leave right now!"
Page's mother walked right around his bed and grabbed him by the arm. She didn't need to search for even one second! She instantly knew where Page was hiding!
"You're not even dressed!" She shouted and dragged Page toward his closet. "Quick, put these on and let's go!"
Katherine handed Page a colorful shirt and plain blue jeans. They were hanging up in the closet, which made them almost too high for Page to reach. Now that he had them, Page almost threw them on the floor. Wear that crap? Outrageous! He'd look like an idiot if he went out like that? First, the shirt was some fluffy fabric with a rainbow pattern. Second, the blue jeans were almost white in color, with barely any trace of their original blue color. Only a fool would dress in those clothes!
"Hurry up!" Katherine yelled and threw two socks at Page. She stood still for a second, then stomped toward Page. "Do I have to do everything myself?!"
Katherine began forcefully undressing Page! At first, he tried to pull away, but that only made Katherine angrier! As Page tried to turn around and run into the corner, his mother grabbed him by the arm. His delicate skin squished in her fingers, completely defenseless!
Ouch!
Unable to defend himself, Page suffered the full force of one of his mother's famous pinches! Her fingernails dug into Page's flesh, almost enough to tear them! Five-finger pinch attack! It was super effective!
"Wha!" Page couldn't help but cry! The pain was just too much, and he wasn't even totally accustomed to his younger body. This pain was similar to being hit by a car, but focused entirely on his upper arm!
Whap!
Katherine slapped Page! Her face looked furious! She would explode at any moment!
"Get dressed!" She yelled, pulling Page closer, and tearing off more of his pajamas!
Page simply couldn't react! While he continued to cry, his mother dressed him in those crappy clothes, throwing him onto the bed so she could put on his pants and socks. To describe Page's current appearance, someone only needed to say 'dork'! Not only had he been yelled at and hit, he was now made to look like a goofball! What kind of torture was this?
"We have to leave, right now!" Katherine yelled and dragged Page with her, out of the room and down the stairs.
Page's parents' house was much different from how he remembered it, but that was obviously because it was twenty years prior to the last time he saw it! It was like looking at a picture. The walls were the same color, but everything else was different! New carpet, new furniture, new appliances... Wait, they're not new, their old! Very old! The house didn't even have a flatscreen TV!
Katherine dragged Page to the front door of the house and put his shoes on for him, then put on her own and exited the house. She really couldn't let go of Page for one second!
Page begrudgingly walked with his mother to the car. His tears had now stopped, but only after he remembered that he brought this upon himself. His mother wasn't to blame, he was! He was the one that chose to redo his life!
If anyone needed to be scorned, it was Page Durand, for making Katherine Durand late for work!
