The 20th Floor
Prius, Ford, and Jazz stepped onto the 20th Floor, the weight of their journey pressing upon them. The towering walls of the Adventurer's Guild Hall loomed before them, bustling with seasoned warriors, mages, and rogue-class fighters preparing for their next trials.
Jazz, without hesitation, strode toward the Wizard's Adventurer Hall—a massive chamber lined with glowing runes and arcane symbols pulsing with raw magic.
A receptionist, dressed in a deep blue robe, greeted her with a polite nod. "Welcome to the Wizard's Hall. How may I assist you?"
Jazz placed both hands on the desk. "I'm here for my Second Job Advancement Quest."
The receptionist's eyes flickered with interest. "Excellent. There are five elemental paths for Wizards—Ice, Wind, Thunder, Earth, and Fire. Fire is the strongest, as it is highly effective against most monsters. Are you choosing Fire?"
Jazz smirked. "Of course."
The receptionist hesitated for a moment before speaking again. "Do you know the significance of a Fire Wizard? Among the Great Ten Legendary Heroes of the Great Zombie Extermination, there was a Fire Wizard who cast the spell Burning Will—a single incantation that instantly destroyed the Zombie Tanker."
Jazz's expression didn't change. "The Zombie Tanker… the monster that evolved by consuming Metal Slimes, turning into an unbreakable fortress."
The receptionist nodded. "Yes, that's why the Fire Wizard class is considered both the strongest and the most difficult to attain."
Jazz crossed her arms and said with quiet confidence, "That Fire Wizard was my great-great-grandparent, Anglias 'Burning Will'."
The receptionist's eyes widened. "What?! A descendant of Anglias? That's… incredible!"
She quickly pulled out a scroll and placed it on the counter. "For the Fire Master path, your trial will be against the Elemental Mirror General—a mini-boss that can mimic your chosen job and fight at your level. You may form a party of up to five adventurers to aid you."
Her expression turned serious as she added, "Also, be aware of the 20th Floor Boss—

Chieftain WarSword"**
Ford raised an eyebrow. "Chieftain?"
The receptionist nodded grimly. "A half-human, half-horse monster . It possesses the intelligence of a human, the speed of a stallion, and wields dual swords with expert precision. To make matters worse, its body is as Tanky as a Zombie Tanker. If you're not careful, it could interfere with your trial."
Jazz exhaled sharply. "So, a centaur with the brain of a warrior, the speed of a sprinter, and the defense of a fortress? Great."
Ford cracked his knuckles. "Sounds like a problem."
Prius grinned. "Or an opportunity. If we take it down, imagine the loot we'll get."
Jazz sighed. "Focus, you two. The Elemental Mirror General is the real fight we need to win."
The receptionist handed her the quest paper, stamped with the official Wizard's Hall Emblem. "Your trial begins at sunrise. Prepare well, and may your flames burn brighter than your reflection."
Jazz clenched her fists, determination burning in her eyes. "I will."
Preparation for the Battle
Back at the inn, Jazz emptied her bag, checking her supplies.
✅ Mana potions – Enough to keep her going.
✅ Fire-enhancing charms – Boosting her flames would be crucial.
❌ Fatigue recovery items – …Not enough.
She frowned. Fire magic was powerful, but it also drained stamina faster than any other element. She needed something to sustain herself in an extended battle.
Jazz turned to Prius. "Do you have anything that can lower my fatigue?"
Prius thought for a moment. "I don't have an item for that, but I can buff you."
Jazz raised an eyebrow. "What kind of buff?"
Prius smirked. "Divine Cloth Buff—it doubles your casting speed, but it also doubles your fatigue. If you're planning to go all out, you'll burn through your stamina twice as fast."
Jazz grinned. "Perfect. If I can end the fight quickly, I won't need to worry about fatigue."
Ford leaned back in his chair, arms crossed. "Well, before the enemy can touch you, they'll have to go through me first." His expression turned smug. "And before we head into your advancement quest, I'll advance you a feast."
Jazz raised an eyebrow. "A feast?"
Ford smirked. "What, you think I'd let my little sister fight on an empty stomach? We're having a proper meal tonight."
Prius chuckled. "That actually sounds like a good idea. Better than watching Jazz collapse from hunger halfway through the fight."
Jazz huffed. "Fine. But don't expect me to cook."
Ford waved her off. "Relax, we're eating at the best place in town. My treat."
With that, the siblings left the inn, heading toward the best tavern on the 20th Floor. Tomorrow, they would fight. But tonight, they would feast.
The battle against the Elemental Mirror General awaited.
