might die, but I won't give up easily.
Suddenly, a sharp pain went through my whole body.
I fall to the ground, shaking like I'm having a seizure and whining loudly.
The pain seems like an eternity, but it's slowly subsiding, and I hear a woman's voice in my head.
-I'm sorry, little wolf. I didn't want it to be so painful, but this is the only way I can talk to you.
I don't understand what is happening.
-Oh, don't worry, little wolf, nothing complicated; I just didn't want to kill you because you look like an old friend of mine.
My brain was completely blocked, and I was just lying on the ground when a 50-meter spider was staring at me and talking.
-old friend? I raise my head even though I dare not look her in the eyes.
-Yes, I feel her blood in you, and you really look a lot like her.
I can't think of anyone else but my mom. I haven't even met any other wolves besides my mom and my siblings.
-mom? The spider starts to laugh, which sounds like a squeal.
-Can you read my mind?
Spider stops laughing and starts staring again -of course, since I connected our magic source.
-Magic source, what is that?
-Didn't your mother teach you?
-Apart from hunting and a few other things, I didn't really know that she could talk.
The spider sighs and looks somehow sad. -I think she has almost completely gone wild.
-Wild, what do you mean?
-Little Wolf, since you are so ignorant of the world, I will tell you a story.
So how did it start?
Long ago, when I was still a little spider, I lived in a forest with my mother and my siblings.
Mother taught us a lesson every day about magic and the world.
Our world consists of one huge continent and a smaller one. She told me that she traveled all over our continent a long time ago.
Our continent has four parts, and the four parts are separated by a mighty river.
One of them is Enverthen, where there is eternal cold and snow. The huge, snowy mountains you saw already belong to Enverthen.
The wolf clan lives there. Usually, the strongest species form a clan and live in a large area. Enverthen is just a big wolf territory.
Of course, the bears and a lot of other things still lived there, but the wolves were dominant.
Next is Vonar, a dry desert full of parasites and wild creatures.
Huge sand worms and all kinds of creatures live there, but because of the parasites, the whole place is wild because they don't think
a very dangerous place without water.
The next part is where we currently live in Nebir; this forest is only a small part of this area.
This area is very hilly and mountainous, although life here is mostly underground or in trees.
I think you saw the birds and such.
The big birds in the sky are relatives of dragons; they are called Yolams, and they live on top of high mountains.
They usually catch and eat you when they see you, so don't go out to flat areas while you're so small.
The next is where I come from, Enir, a huge forest with even bigger trees than this.
Almost no sunlight got into the forest, so we didn't really need to see; we relied on our senses instead.
It was wonderful; thousands of us covered the forest, and the whole area was dominated by spiders.
But some idiot dragon flew there, and I set fire to half the forest.
The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.
Since they are not some kind of fire ressitence, me and a few hundred spiders remained from the thousands.
Mother killed the dragon, but she did not survive either. but let's move on from that.
So this is where my adventure with your mother begins.
I just left the forest and wandered over to Nebir alone because the living spiders went wild.
When I reached the edge of Enir, I saw her on the edge of Everthen, chased by four white wolves.
They were far away, but your mother stood out from the whiteness with her black fur.
Then, when she couldn't run anymore, she jumped into the river and started swimming towards me.
I don't know why, but I helped her. I cast my web towards her and pulled her to the shore.
At first, she was quite hostile, but then she calmed down and became an obedient little pup.
Wolves don't know as much about magic and are more natural, like you. As you naturally use magic, you don't thinking just do it.
I taught her the source of magic and how to talk to me.
She told me that she was chased because she entered an infected area, and they were afraid that she was infected by parasites.
I didn't know at the time that she was infected; she didn't even seem to be, but over time,
I saw that her mind was becoming more and more wild, and she had fewer complex thoughts.
If you get infected, there are two possibilities:
You keep your consciousness, you become one with the parasite, and then you mutate. If that doesn't work, you go wild.
With your mother, it's a very slow process; I think she's not completely wild even now.
But let's continue the story. So I made something like a raft out of my web, and we crossed to the shore of Nebir.
On the shores of Nebir, we are already welcomed by a mountainous region.
It took us a long time to get through, while a lot of Yolams attacked us.
So we lived on bird meat, which made me really big.
Your mother had a mutation that slowly turned her fur purple, and she also grew a lot.
We had a lot of adventures and traveled all over Nebir.
But by the time we arrived in the forest, she was very wild and could hardly speak coherently.
So we decided to go our separate ways because she didn't want to hurt me, so I went underground and she stayed above.
I started laying eggs and building my own nest, like my mother.
That's the story, in short.
-Okay, now I have a lot of questions.
-Feel free to ask, little wolf.
-First, how were your children born? After all, there was no one else of your kind here.
-There is no need for reproduction; you can make a child with magic; it can be from your own or even combined with another creature's magic.
If you combine your magic with another race, the child will be mixed; if not, then only your blood. That's all, nothing complicated.
-I understand. Did Mom do the same for us?
-Yes, indeed, since I don't feel the bloodline of another creature in you, but your bloodline started to change.
-I tilt my head to the side. -what do you mean?
The plant on your feet is a parasite.
-what, really? I look down at my feet and feel the plant move a little. I think that's why it's so stubborn.
-I see that the information does not really concern you.
-I've had it for a while, and it helps, so I don't have a problem with it, and I'm used to it.
-Okay, then the next question
I'm already very excited, and my tail is wagging very fast. -What is magic, and you teach me pleas
-of course
-Wait, it's that simple? and I look at her suspiciously.
The spider starts laughing again, and I feel like my eardrums are going to burst.
-Go home and get your siblings, and then I will teach you, just don't kill my children on the way.
