The red bloodlust slowly faded from his eyes as he regained his conscious. Waking up, his heart pounded like it was going to burst out from his chest.
As the thunderous roar of the double-headed serpent martial spirit subsided, Roy felt his senses return to him. The red bloodlust that had consumed him began to slowly fade from his eyes, and he regained consciousness. Blinking rapidly, he tried to make sense of what had just happened.
As he took in his surroundings, Roy's heart pounded in his chest like it was about to burst out. The intensity of the experience had left him feeling weak and unsteady. He tried to steady his breathing, taking deep, calming breaths to help him regain his composure.
Roy slumped to the ground, feeling the weight of the experience bearing down on him. He knew that he had been in a dangerous state of mind, and he was grateful to the double-headed serpent martial spirit for intervening and bringing him back to reality.
"W-wha... !"
As he sat there, taking in deep breaths and trying to steady his heart rate, Roy realized the gravity of the situation he had been in. He knew that he needed to take better care of his mental and emotional health, and he resolved to seek help and guidance to the system to prevent a recurrence of the blood-thirsty frenzy he had just experienced.
But,
!!
Roy's attention was suddenly drawn to the presence of someone standing behind him. It wasn't the strange phenomenon of the double-headed serpent martial spirit that had startled him, but the feeling of a person's presence so close to him. His heart raced even faster as he turned around to face the person behind him, his body tense and ready to react if needed.
"What? Who!?"
He swept a glance at the surroundings before turning his gaze to this unfamiliar face standing in front of him. ‘Zheng!’ He drew out his sword and pointed it at the newcomer and asked ferociously, “Who are you?"
'An old man?'
The old man’s expression changed, “You certainly have guts!"
A mortal little boy actually dared to bark at him instead of bitterly pleading for mercy!? This sent the old man into a rage.
He swiftly grabbed Roy’s right hand and applied some force. With a “crack”, his right hand fractured into two.
Startled by the sudden pain, his sword and torch dropped to the ground.
“ARGH!” Roy let out a pained scream.
The old man continued to lift Roy off the ground. His right hand glowed with a faint light before forming a fist and smashing into Roy’s midsection.
This punch was nothing if not powerful, Roy felt like his entire being was going to split in two.
“How is it, my fist are pretty good, huh? This is only my casual punch, and I only used one-millionth of my strength. If I were to truly use all my force, your small body would be in pieces.” the old man darkly chuckled.

Roy's body felt weak as he hung from the old man's grip, his life seemingly at the mercy of this stranger. Weakly, he managed to utter a few words, his voice barely above a whisper,
"Who are you? What kind of a grudge do you have against me, for you to start attacking me the moment you saw me?"
His mind raced as he tried to recall any encounter with the old man. He raked his brain, trying to figure out what he might have done to deserve this sudden attack. He even searched through the memories of his predecessor, hoping to find some clue about the old man, but he came up empty-handed.
The old man seemed to ignore Roy's words, his face twisted with anger and contempt. His grip on Roy's throat tightened, cutting off his air supply. Roy gasped for breath, feeling his consciousness slipping away.
As he struggled for air, Roy's mind was in turmoil. He couldn't understand why this was happening to him. He had always been careful to avoid unnecessary conflict and had never harmed anyone without reason. He couldn't fathom what he had done to deserve this brutal attack.
In his last moments of consciousness, Roy realized that sometimes, life can be unpredictable and cruel, and even the smallest actions can have unexpected consequences. He hoped that he would survive this ordeal and be able to make sense of it all.
'Who the f*ck is this old b*stard?! Why is he so strong?'
Roy's strength has already improved greatly in the past few days. He had reached a level 3! Naturally, his body's defense should be equal to a Early Spirit Foundation Stage Cultivator. Regardless, his hand was easily crushed by a mere pinch from this old man. 'What kind of monster was he?'
'What had I done wrong?'
"Nope. You should ask yourself. What are you doing in my house?" his eyes flashed a sharp glints.
"Your house? This cave is your house?" Roy weakly muttered.
Roy felt another fist smash into his body, the force of it leaving him unable to stifle a cry of pain. The blow was so heavy that it caused him to cough up a mouthful of fresh blood, which spilled onto the ground beside him.
As the old man continued to rain heavy blows upon him, Roy felt his body weakening with each impact. His vision began to blur, and he struggled to keep himself from passing out.
The constant assault of the old man's fists was too much for Roy to withstand. He could feel his body breaking down under the force of the blows, and he knew that he was no match for his attacker.
Despite his best efforts to fight back and defend himself, Roy found himself constantly spitting out blood, his body wracked with pain and dizziness. He knew that he couldn't hold out for much longer, and he began to wonder if this was the end for him.
In that moment of pain and desperation, Roy realized the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment. He hoped that he would survive this brutal attack and be given another chance to live his life to the fullest.
If things were to continue in this way, he would definitely be beaten to death by the old man.
'Aaaargh f*ck
At this moment, his right hand was broken, and his eyes could not see clearly in the darkness. In addition, he was being beaten by the old man and suffering serious injuries.
Roy regretted coming to this cave. He was too focused on obtaining the completion rewards as well as possible treasures within, that he forgot his previous conjecture about some potential danger. He even ignored his survival instinct that had rung a few times in the last hour ever since he set foot into the cave.
Now that it has come to this he could only face it.
Even under this kind of circumstance, his mind was completely clear.
Although he could not clearly see the crazy guy, he could very clearly sense the rage and craziness that was being directed at him.
He was venting!
Now, he must think of a way to get out of danger!
Roy turned to look at the system interface screen and opened System Store to look for a certain items in the Amulet section panel. Then, with a thought he swiftly picked the particular item.
He noticed the Divine Escape Amulet is now in the inventory.
He was prepared to take out the Divine Escape Amulet when his meticulous mind thought of some possibilities.
What if this monstrous old man seized my amulet the second I took it out?
Knowing our disparity in strength, it's absolutely possible!!
Though I don't precisely know the depth of his strength, such a thing is plausible.
I won't let my hard-earned system points go to waste! This friggin amulet's cost was so expensive!
100 system points! huh!
I've left with only 20 something points.
After all, his life was of utmost importance. So, he would do anything for his well-being. It wasn't like he had any choice anyway. The system's Emergency Mode was also still in the cooldown phase. So, he could only relied on himself at this moment.
But, before he proceed further. The system's notification rang followed by a huge hologram screen popping out on his face.
