When I next opened my eyes, I was surrounded by darkness.
No, not your usual night darkness, but actual, completely crazy, absolutely silent darkness. Not even the stars could be seen.
… To be honest, I was kinda spooked.
Only a little. I'm a guy who's slept in sewers alongside rats - this little bit didn't spook me much.
A moment later, the panel reappeared.
Please enter parameters for your world.
You can also choose from preset templates.
Note: Templates may have problems that haven't yet been identified. It is better to go ahead with custom mode if you aren't pressed for time.
Projected time for Void Walker Invasion: 130:68:36:95
Note: Projected time can change later, but it is accurate up to five days, give or take.
Note: 1 Void Day = 1,000,000,000 Earth Years
Note: You can set your planets relative time later.
Templates Custom
After reading through the whole thing, I was sure of one thing.
'Those who choose from Templates are either uncreative fools, hyperactive idiots or lazy bums.'
In short, I felt those who choose Template are idiots.
I chose Custom Mode. Immediately, a long list of parameters appeared in front of me, along with a Creation Point panel. As of now, I had 1,000 Creation Points. CP for short.
I thought of what kind of world I'd make. Although I don't mind technology, and I have experience in that to an extent as a person from Earth, I think I'd rather choose Fantasy. So, what I did was first scroll through the 'Energies' list. I found eight energy forms there.
Energy Type Description CP Matter Energy For use in Technological Worlds, Matter Energy is the type of energy that's found in all basic forms of nature, but does not have an ounce of supernatural power. Completely relies on Matter. 15 Natural Energy A form of energy found in nature. It is the basic form of energy used to manipulate Matter. It is the most basic form of Supernatural Energy, and does not have much real power. 20 Mana While being basic, Mana is the staple of every true Fantasy world. It is a form of supernatural energy generated from thoughts. 30 Psionic Energy Also a form of supernatural energy generated from thoughts, it is the upgraded form of Natural Energy, but generated in the body. 25 Qi A form of supernatural energy that has many subtypes, this particular energy has many uses - from being able to interfere with elements to rejuvenating the body. 30 - 300 Soul Energy Generated within the depths of the soul, this energy has a preset form depending on the soul of the person in question. An esoteric form of energy with infinite possibilities. 50 Blood Energy Also known as Life Energy, it is the form of energy generated by consuming your Life Force. It can easily be replenished using many ways. Provides a burst of combat power. 25 Elemental Energy Generated by the ever-present elements, they surround every person. A form of supernatural energy that can prove quite hard to master, but has just as many possibilities. 60 Divine Energy The pinnacle of all energies. Can only be held by those who have domains. Requires multilevel world. 315

I immediately crossed off Qi, Natural Energy and Psionic Energy from the list. While they have their uses, they weren't as useful for the world I was envisioning.
Next, I proceeded to select everything else. Matter Energy was required since I still wanted physics. A world without physics is not one I can imagine as of now. Mana was of course, since I wanted magic. But since I'll be making them all in the form of skills... I decided having all of them was the right thing to do.
Then, I proceeded to image the hundreds of thousands of skills I was going to make. I included classes, levels, everything I could think of.
Then, I had to envision the minerals the world was going to generate. I somehow had a gut feeling that I should leave it up to fate. Thinking of it, I looked at the caption below in small letters, which said: "If left up to nature, the minerals shall be generated naturally, as a form of evolution."
…In that case, was there a reason for me to think of minerals so hard? I mean, if it's naturally generated, then it'd be perfect for the world. Of course, that could also mean some metals I wanted might not appear, but I could change the world's rules later on, so no matter. I could get it later.
…After all, I was running low on points. Just the energies themselves took out a huge chunk of 505 points from my budget, not to mention the classes.
With the rest of the points, I made many dungeons all over the world. Each dungeon was interconnected, meaning it was just one large dungeon with multiple entrances.
The dungeon was set to grow as the people grew stronger. The dungeon created 10 floors after the lowest one humans had conquered.
That wiped out another 50 points, so now I had barely 35 points left. Finding not much use on scrimping now, I made a few races - humans, beastmen, elves, and finally Gods. Yes, Gods as a race - but they will only be a False God unless I grant them a domain. Can't have too many gods and not enough domains.
I divided the Gods into 5 ranks, where the greater the rank, the better the domain. There was only one way for a God to advance - by gaining enough strength. This strength could be gained only through Followers. Their lifespan was 1000 times their rank. Of course, they won't die a true death - they will be sent to the Upper Realm as souls to reincarnate. Their souls would be stronger than those of others of the same level.
The humans were as they would normally be. The elves were simply humans who were more in tune to magic, while Beastmen were humanoid animals - not humans with animal ears, although I made it so that's exactly what would happen if beastmen reproduce with humans.
And I randomized the initial location setting for the races and removed interracial limiters, before finally processing the world.
As for the dungeons, well... I made a few special races I wanted before naturalizing the rest.
And let the worldbuilding... begin.
