On the dueling platform , inside the fighter tomb. A silhouette was practicing a spear technique. His spear was fast and nimble, sharp and majestic. Every move he performed possessed an indistinct aura of suppression. If one were to look closely , the eyes of this silhouette contained within a hint of unyielding determination. After an hour of practice, the boy stopped his spear and lifted his face to gaze at the unending covering of the sky and said "Phew... Looks like i have broken through to the 5th level of lightning spear. "

James was now ten years old. For the past 4 years, he devoted all his attention, time and effort to his cultivation. Every single day, he practised his martial arts skills and techniques relentlessly. His cultivation and his physique both improved exponentially. His appearance can be described as abnormal among cultivators of his age. The long blue hair reached his hip bone. Standing 1.5 meter long, his stature was that of an adult. Muscles bulging from all four limbs, each giving the illusion of being crafted by a master blacksmith. Skin as white as snow and eyes as green and deep as an ocean.

James managed to learn two extra skills in the past two years. These skills helped james to increase his overall body strength and his soul-force.

He also came to know that there were different realms in cultivation. Each realm had three or less stages.

The main 4 realms were ,

As for what lied beyond the transcendence realm , james had no idea. James gussed it to be "God realm" but he was not sure if it was really the case.

In Earth realm, one needs to lay a strong foundation. And the foundation was one's own body. Cultivators of earth realm focused solely on strengthening their bodies and purifying their blood. The more one enhanced his blood purity the better.

The sky realm focused on essence or Qi. A cultivator of the sky realm needed to open all his meridians as well as dantian and construct his essences sea.

In the void realm, one needs to gather and absorb spirit energy from one or more star constellations and form his astral soul. One also needs to comprehend all 4 elements in nature namely fire, earth, wind, water and merge them into one.

As for transcendence, he was not concerned about that for now.

James was currently on the profound stage of earth realm. But the purity of blood he possessed was of much superior quality then any other cultivator he had seen till now. Suddenly James heard a fimiliar voice.

"Hey! Slow down a bit. If this continues, you'll work yourself to death"

When he heard this voice, he recognised to whom this voice belonged. He turned around and said with a smile,

"If i don't work this hard, the beasts will eat me as their dinner tommorow"

The person who appeared was James's best friend Tom. Ever since james was reincarnated in this world, because of him being the only son of war clan's family head , he was not allowed to play around or interact with other cultivators of common origins.

As for the heirs of other major clans, he didn't liked them one bit. The reason for this was obvious, all they did was bragging about how strong they were and bullying the weak was considered common for them.

But Tom was different. Out of all his cousins , tom was the only one who didn't bragged or bullied others. When james first interacted with tom, he knew james was different from others and decided to befriend him.

"Yeah i guess you're right" said Tom.

Beast hunt was a tournament organised by the War Clan to test all the cultivators from their young generation.

Then he asked james with curiosity "Have you made a breakthrough?"

"Un". James nodded.

After a quick chat they went back to their respective rooms.

Early in the morning, james and hundreds of other deciples of the war clan were standing next to each other on a massive platform. James could guess that roughly 10,000 deciples under the age of twelve were present.

"What do you think will be the reward for claiming 1st place this time around?"

Asked one of the participants.

"How would i know? The prizes vary each time. Last time it was a supreme grade sword. I suspect it's something even better then that this time."

The other one said.

Just as everyone was busy chatting with each other, a domineering aura encapsulated the whole platform. It was as if even breathing became difficult.

An old man in white robes descended from the sky. As soon as everyone felt the unfathomable aura, the whole platform fell silent.

Dead silent!

"Has everything been prepared?" The old man looked at the golden guard and asked.

"Ye ... . Yes Elder Matthew". The golden guard said in a trembling voice. This white robed figure was an esteemed Elder of the War clan. All the elders held the absolute authority below the family head.

Elder Matthew said in a low but deep voice" The rules for this tournament are simple. Each beast has a core which acts as it's power source. Your prupose is to kill these beasts and bring back their cores. Do not worry, i am well aware of the realms all of you are currently at. So the beasts you'll be hunting should atleast be at the profound earth realm. Among all the deciples present, a deciple having the highest number of cores shall be declared the winner. Snatching from each other and fighting with your fellow deciples is forbidden. As for the place where this year's hunt will be conducted is "The Red Moon forest" in the east. Any questions?"

Casually gazing through the crowd and conforming that there were no questions, the elder waved his hand and stated....

"Let the beast hunt begin!"

As soon as the voice faded , all of the participants were transported to the Red Moon forest through a grand formation.

Transporting 10,000 people!!! How cool was that.?

When all of the deciples arrived at the specified location, some of them formed their respective groups as some decided to hunt solo.

James and tom formed a group too.

"So, how do we search for these beastes and how do we kill them?" Tom asked.

"Just before arriving here , i read many books which mentioned many types of beasts and the type of environment they prefer to live in. Judging from the cold climate and all these caves present right in front, I'd say we are highly likely to run into a level 6 earth realm profound stage demonic ape or level 7 earth realm profound stage barbaric bear."

Although beasts also used cultivation methods like humans but they possessed much higher physical strength then a human cultivator of the same rank. So they were classified through levels. 1st level meant that that beast is at the earth realm possessing physical strength of one human being. 2nd meant two and so on. It was very similar to the system james had for his stats.

While these two were discussing their strategy, loud thuds could be heard comming from inside a cave.

Both of them felt their hearts beating hastily. As they were certain about one thing.......
