After not seeing my friends for however long but having it feel like only a minute and then seeing them again was really weird. One of them even had a mustache now which was kind of weird. It didn't look good on him and he knew it too, covering his mouth whenever he spoke.
We stood in a loose circle at one of the corners of the spaceship, leaning on walls or sitting on the floor. We were very low energy having not technically eaten in ninety years. And we were skinnier than any skeleton I'd ever seen in a Halloween store.
Maximus, the one with a mustache, said, "It's freezing in here. Where are the heaters?" It sounded muffled because of his hand.
I shrugged while leaning back on my elbows on the floor. My eyes seemed to refuse to open. "It's just 'cause you're skinny now. The heaters are probably on full blast or something." I was cold, too, but too tired to do anything about it.
Barry sighed and hunched his shoulders in, trying to keep warm as well. "When is lunch going to be?"
"Stop complaining," I mumbled. But really, I wanted food desperately. My stomach growled and my friends all laughed at me.

"Lunch will be served in the cafeteria from 11:31 to 12:11," a voice said overhead. My group groaned in content and started to move towards the cafeteria.
I slowly got to my feet and walked slowly next to my friends. There was some guy that I didn't fully recognize. He had long black hair that didn't look like it was pulled back in the cryo gell, chunks hanging from the ends and the roots looking greasy. He stood at the corner of a wall, fidgeting. His eyes darted in every direction and I slowed my steps. Something was odd about him and I couldn't place what it was.
Jacob nudged me. "You good, Levi?" He asked.
I shook my head then said, "Yeah, sorry. Just tired."
I began walking again and that's when I saw the weird guy pull out a crude looking knife. It looked like it was made from metal from the space ship. And then I saw the girl walking towards him...
In a split second decision, using all the energy I had left, I ran forward and knocked the knife out of the guy's hand, causing me to collide fully with the girl who gasped and stumbled back, falling onto the floor. I clasped my hand that had knocked the knife away, bloody and in pain. The greasy guy hurriedly reached for the knife on the ground but I shoved him with my shoulder, gritting my teeth at the pain.
Luckily, before the fight could escalate and I most definitely died, a few of the adults on the ship came rushing over and restrained the guy. Maximus and Jacob ran to me, catching my arms right before I fell to the ground. Apparently, not eating for ninety years causes more problems than just being cold and skinny. The blood rushed to my head and I passed out.
