HUH !? The demon lord fell in love with me?
Chap 16- A girls night part 1

Chap 16- A girls night part 1

The air is so cold it bites at my face, and my mind drifts back to when I first met Elene. I had wanted to buy a jacket then, too. Guess some things never change.

Getting chills as we walk side by side makes me feel pathetic, especially when I glance at her. She’s as unbothered as ever, like the cold doesn’t even exist.

“What’s wrong? Feeling cold?” Elene asks, her voice carrying just a hint of teasing.

“Me? Cold? Pfft, no. Haha.” My laugh is as fake as the warmth I’m trying to summon.

Before I can protest, she shrugs off her jacket and drapes it over my shoulders like it’s the most natural thing in the world.

“I remember last time you mentioned needing a jacket,” she says casually. “You can take mine.”

“What? No, I can’t just—”

“Don’t worry,” she interrupts with a grin, “I’ve got more where that came from!”

I don’t have much of a choice as she strides ahead, leaving me to adjust the jacket around me. The warmth seeps into my skin almost instantly, and for the first time since we started walking, I’m not freezing.

But there’s something else—something soft and annoyingly comfortable about the jacket. None of mine feel like this. It’s expensive, isn’t it? I glance at her, trying to piece things together.

Wait a second. Now that I think about it… how did she pay for that restaurant last time? She said she didn’t have a job back then.

“Elene…”

“Yup? What?” she replies, not even looking at me as she glances down the street. “Are we close to those friends of yours?”

“I… uh…” I pause, clutching the jacket closer. “I can’t help but notice… this jacket’s kind of expensive, right?”

“Yeah, it is,” she says without hesitation.

“And… how exactly did you afford it?”

She stops, turns to me, and tilts her head like I just asked if the sky is blue. “Are you an idiot? With money, of course.”

Her matter-of-fact tone hits me like a slap, and I stare at her, dumbfounded. She really just made me look like the idiot here.

“But how?” I ask, struggling to keep my voice steady. “I can’t think of a way you could gain money without a job”

Elene tilts her head, a sly smile playing on her lips. “Huh? I secured my life in this world in two nights.”

She hums and thinks deeply for a second.

“I guess humans have it so hard to produce income like I do.”

Two nights? Money? My mind screeches to a halt as the pieces start connecting. A pretty girl like her... no, no, no, it can’t be. My face heats up, and I feel the blush spreading fast. Elene wouldn’t… she couldn’t… but she’s a succubus.

“Can you be more specific about it… ” I ask cautiously, my voice barely above a whisper.

She gives me a bemused look, completely unfazed. “I had to stand in a corner and wait. It was easy.”

Her words hit me like a brick. My brain goes into overdrive, and I can feel my thoughts spiraling. Wait… standing in a corner? All night? Two nights?! Behind that innocent face is a… is a—no! Stop it, Elysia! She’s not like that! But the math… it doesn’t add up. Two nights? That’s way too fast, right? How many men could possibly—

“Why are you looking at me like that, Elysia?” Elene’s voice cuts through my mental breakdown, and I snap back to reality.

“Uh… it’s just…” My words tangle up in my throat. “I never knew you were so… um… experienced in, uh, such… stuff.”

Her eyes widen for a second before she bursts into laughter, the sound light and teasing. “Of course I am! I’m a succubus.” She smirks, clearly amused by my reaction. “I’d teach you if I could, but human females lack the skills to completely charm a man into going crazy.”

I feel a bead of sweat trickle down my temple. Is this what they mean by “adult conversations”? My heart is racing, and I don’t know whether to feel embarrassed, intrigued, or both.

“How can you say such things with pride!” I exclaim, my voice a mix of shock and exasperation.

Elene blinks at me, unfazed. “Pride? I’m not proud of what I did. But I had to. The money has to come from a victim, right? So, I used my enchantment eyes on him. Easy peasy.”

“Ohhh “

I stare at her, trying to decide what’s worse—my imagination running wild earlier or the fact she’s casually admitting to something that sounds like a crime. A part of me feels pity for the poor guy who probably emptied his wallet for Elene without even knowing why.

Before I can process further, the store where Maria works comes into view, snapping me back to reality.

“Remember, Elene,” I say firmly, pausing just before we step inside. “You’re human. Not a succubus.”

Elene tilts her head, her expression mischievous. “I’m a human? So, I’m a dumb human?”

“No! Just… a human.”

“I don’t see the difference,” she says, shrugging dramatically.

“Just be one, please,” I plead, trying to keep her from making things weird.

She winks at me, and I instantly regret bringing her here.

As we walk in, the warm lighting of the store washes over us. I spot Maria immediately, her face lighting up as she sees me.

“Maria!” I call out, rushing forward for a hug, but before I can even get close—

“Ely” Maria responds back

Elene shoves me out of the way with surprising force and throws herself at Maria instead.

“Wha—?” I stumble to the side, baffled, as Elene wraps her arms around Maria in a dramatic embrace.

“Hey, nice to meet you! I’m Elene the human!” she declares with a bright, innocent grin.

Maria chuckles, though her confusion is clear. “Hello! I’m Maria the human. You must be a friend of Ely.”

Elene grabs Maria’s hands, holding them tightly. “Oh, I’m not just a friend—I’m her best friend! Did I mention I’m human?”

Maria raises an eyebrow, clearly unsure of how to respond but trying to stay polite. “Yes, you… mentioned that.”

I sigh, rubbing my temples as I watch the scene unfold. Maria, ever the optimist, somehow finds a way to smile through the awkwardness. Meanwhile, Elene beams like she’s just won a prize, completely oblivious to the chaos she’s causing.

“So, Maria, is your shift over soon?” I ask, trying to steer the situation back to normalcy.

“Yes, I get out early today. But… can you tell your friend to get off me? Please?” Maria replies, her tone polite yet clearly uncomfortable.

I glance over to see Elene rubbing her cheek against Maria’s like an affectionate cat.

“This human is so soft,” Elene murmurs, clearly enjoying herself.

“Elene, come on. Behave,” I chide.

With a theatrical sigh, she steps back. “Fine. Sorry if I behaved wrongly, Maria. It’s just that any friend of Elysia is a friend of mine!”

Maria gives a small nod. “I see.”

“Do you mind if we wait for your shift to end, or should we meet somewhere else?” I ask, hoping for a calm solution.

“How about Elysia’s house? A sleepover!” Elene blurts out, her inability to keep anything to herself on full display.

“Sleepover?” Maria raises an eyebrow.

“Yeah! We can order some pizza, maybe mix some cocktails,” I add quickly, trying to salvage the moment.

Maria shakes her head. “I don’t really drink, Ely. I like to stay sober all the time.”

“You’re no fun,” Elene interjects with a pout, her mood swinging like a pendulum as usual.

“Don’t listen to her. So, have you ever tried drinking before?” I ask Maria.

“No, but I prefer not to,” she replies with a resolute tone.

Elene smirks mischievously. “Look at this Saint Mary. So pure, but inside she might be—”

I grab a handful of Elene’s hair and yank it gently before she can finish whatever outrageous thought she’s about to voice.

“So, what do you say, Maria?” I ask, attempting to move things along.

Maria hesitates, glancing at Elene nervously. “Is she coming too?”

Elene’s eyes narrow, and she leans in closer to Maria. “Ah, got a problem, human?”

“Sadly, yes, she is,” I admit, giving Elene a look to stop her from escalating further. “But don’t worry. Once you get to know her, she’s a sweet candy.”

Maria exhales and smiles slightly. “Fine. Your house it is. My shift is done in two hours.”

Without even having time to react, as soon I open the door to exit the store. Elene carries me without any consent and she transforms us in the ethereal form.

“EY! Stop”

The sounds of her wings sprouting from her back were sharp. The displacement was fast and careful until we reached our stop. I could not hold back my thoughts because of her sudden action.

“What was that for?”

“ I was tired of walking” Elene responded with a smirk

Good thing is the apartment is clean and the only think is to wait for Maria to come.

Inside the house I start calling the pizza department and order 1 large pizza, and 3 sodas.

“ Put it Pineapple as extra”

“ I do not like it, and I do no think maria likes it”

“That is even better “

“Do you have something against her?”

“Well since you ask. No, but lets visit Lord Azazel before he leaves”

“No, I do not want to see him. It will ruin my night”

Elene transforms to ethereal form went straight forward to the apartment of Azazel.

She did not come back for a few minutes, maybe she was talking with Azazel.

But as I was preparing the tables and extra snacks. Elene appears

“He is gone”

“ Good, this is a girls night either way” I can feel the gaze of Elene in sadness but I am getting used to, she will always feel that way when is involving Azazel.
