It did not take long. A pair of pierced fingers for which that poor man could not even scream for help. Morty was nowhere to be seen either. He folded after realizing his destiny, and marked the location on K’s map.

—Doe.

(Oh, L is ready! I wonder if she will treat me to Oktoberfest again this year...)

—Jane.

—I’ll start making noise now. Finish up your informant.

—Oki-doki.

Desperate tears started flowing through his bearded cheeks. (I wish... I had seen Helen one more time...)

—Yo.

—Back again, sweetie? You sure love it here.

—Shut up, I had a bad day, and I’m paying for you... Don’t make me change my mind.

—My bad, you are so charming when you get mad for a little tease.

—I swear I...! I... I missed you, Helen.

—You missed a sex worker? How the mighty have fallen...~

—Ex-sex worker.

—Huh?

A small box was offered to the woman.

—This is...

—It’s empty now... But I’m leaving the band. When I find a proper job and I’m able to get you out of here... I will come back to hear your answer.

—Pffft... You really are something else. Don’t take too long, alright? I also have something to tell you...

—I promise.

Blood started flowing onto the floor. For K, it was never growing old. Big men on their knees, crying like little babies. She enjoyed that more than anyone there.

—Bang, bang... Sounds so sweet, the metal fleshing through!

A few moments later, a loud and disturbing roar of what it seemed the road to Hell started emerging from nothingness.

—Naples.

—Can’t get to it, all roads lead to Rome.

Stolen story; please report.

—Good. Send me the map.

The picture reached L in a matter of seconds. (The old factory... Seems like a good spot to hide. Not very secure for shipments, though.)

—Whatever, I will break through.

It all started with lights flashing across the night sky, making as much noise as possible, and a thunder of a song. L’s bike was modified to be able to do that much, as well as decimating wood gates as if they were paper, all thanks to the titanium crown of spikes which adorned the front of this monster.

—There’s... Really no one over here... Hey, L.

—What’s up?

—I can’t see a single person inside there with infrared, you sure that’s the place?

That stopped her for a second. This place was massive, but judging from their intelligence, and the confession of that guard, which confirmed it, just a building of this size could host what they’re looking for.

—Are you sure those damn systems of yours are not faulty again?

—Yeah, I’ve always got two of these bad boys on me. There’s no way both of them ain’t working at the same time.

(Concerning... If this is just another dead end... What the heck have we even been doing all these years... I just hope you are okay, wherever you are right now.)

—Yahoo, Boss!

—What the...! What are you doing here, K!?

—I was bored, so I came to play!

—You absolute idiot... You should be covering where M cannot properly watch my back.

—But there was no one-

A sharp tweak came from the radio. It was M.

—HEY, GET THE F*CK OUT OF THERE!

—Uh-?

—You heard her, get in the bike, we can talk about this later.

This wasn’t an unprecedented situation. The trio had been dealing with ambushes, or traps for quite a while now. The tone of self-proclaimed ‘sniper master’ was, however, something new.
