Chapter 1 : Curse You Truck-Kun !

Chapter 1 : Curse You Truck-Kun !

Ryan was sure there was no one in the world as lazy as him - he loved to eat and loved to sleep but most of all loved to play games and watch anime.

Many times, he received the scorn of his peers who saw him as simply a waste of space and resources. It would have been better if Ryan had been good at his grades then maybe he wouldn't have invested so much time playing games, watching anime, and basically eating his life away.

Or maybe if he hadn't grown up in an orphanage and got adopted by uncaring parents; they would have at least motivated him to study or even forced him to study for concern of his future. Ryan could only find solace in his games and anime. The PC which never failed to load a game for him or broadcast anime had become his closest pal along with the chair which never gave away no matter how much weight he gained.

Despite living such a life everyone around him considered to be wasted, Ryan was quite happy with it - he may have been a shut-in with no friends but the friends he made online while playing games were like family to him because he felt they were the only people whom he could relate to. The world could go to hell if it thought it could force him to behave according to the norm, the snacks he ate gave him ecstasy which couldn't be faked and the hours he spent on his PC were hours he felt truly himself.

*

It had been an hour since Ryan was playing his favorite game - Free Fire, Ryan had actually become exceptionally good at it that he could be considered somewhat a pro - he knew exactly what to do to mercilessly slay other players, he had even attained the nickname 'Grim Reaper'

Ryan glanced at his side, noticing he had run out of snacks -

'no, no - how am I supposed to game now ?!'

He glanced at his pile of clothes stacked like a mountain at a far corner where his wallet was undoubtedly buried.

' Aargh , now I'll have to go out to buy some snacks - but if I do , I'll lose the game for sure - it's not like you can press pause in an online game and it's even nighttime, who knows what might happen '

Ryan made one final grunt before deciding to buy snacks , it just didn't feel the same to the game without something to munch on plus he needed some snacks to watch anime later.

' My Wife Is Secretly A Demon Queen has just released a new episode , it wouldn't feel as exciting to watch it without some snacks '

Ryan stood up from his chair with extra effort before walking to the pile of clothes and began digging for his wallet.

After 5 minutes of aggressive digging he finally found it - empty of course.

' Damn , forgot I spent the rest of my money buying that body pillow. '

Ryan glanced at his bed where a body pillow with the drawn image of a lewd maid laid across it.

' Hmm ! I'll never regret buying you Maid-chan '

Ryan sighed. Where would he get his snacks now ?

Growl

He then heard his stomach growl , now that he was slightly agitated he was growing even more hungry.

' Except... maybe if I look Into Dad's wallet, maybe he might have a few notes or two '

If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

Ryan thought , deciding to go adventuring into his father's wallet.

He walked out of his room and headed towards the TV room , kicking empty beer bottles along the way.

' Sigh, the empty beers from 2 days ago are still here - I guess I'll have to clean them.. again. "

Ryan reached the TV room, where he found his sleeping father on the floor with an empty beer in hand and the TV on - he seemed to be completely knocked out.

Ryan began searching in his pockets , feeling a sense of guilt washing upon him.

' No, this isn't stealing - I am simply taking my allowance for this month. '

He said as he reassured himself, continuing to dig the pockets of his father. He wouldn't be surprised if he spent his money on alcohol.

Despite being an alcoholic, Ryan didn't loathe him one bit - he understood the pain he must have been going through after losing his wife - the woman who had suggested the idea of even adopting Ryan.

If it weren't for the couple, Ryan would still undoubtedly be in the orphanage or worse, kicked out - after immediately turning 18 , The orphans there would be politely kicked out to go look for a job.

Yes, his father who adopted him rarely gave him attention, but he still gave him some allowance despite his alcohol addiction - To Ryan who grew up as an orphan after his parents died in a Car Accident, just that gesture was enough for him to believe his adoption Father still cared for him - just in a slight way.

'Thank goodness he has some money left. '

Ryan thought, retrieving a note from his father's pocket.

'Don't worry Dad, now you won't have to worry about my allowance for this month '

Ryan thought in mischief before he began walking out of the house grabbing a baseball bat on his way out. The neighborhood wasn't exactly the safest place to be at night and someone who was 'gifted' in weight like him couldn't even attempt to run away if he got mugged, if it weren't for the fact that Ryan had to buy snacks he wouldn't have even thought of a crazy thought such as leaving his house at night.

What about the food in the fridge you ask?

Pftt, there wasn't any food in the fridge - It had run out a week ago and Ryan had been living on fast food and snacks he bought in the convenience store since his Father didn't care much about food, it had been Ryan who did the grocery and filled the fridge, to begin with. It just happened to be his lazy week and he wasn't particularly motivated to do grocery shopping.

'Hmm, the streets seem to be particularly quiet today.. is that a good thing or a bad thing?'

Ryan wondered, clutching his baseball bat harder. He was sure mentally ready for a jump scare at any time.

' I may be fat, but even a cute baby can become dangerous if it has a gun... wait a minute... What if the thieves have guns ?! '

Ryan suddenly realized, shuddering. What would he do if he got mugged by someone with a gun? A baseball bat to a gunfight was useless.

'Aargh whatever, I doubt the thieves in this neighborhood could be advanced enough to have guns anyways. '

Ryan pushed the thought away; he was already this far ahead - turning back would be a waste of time.

Now he just had to cross the road and he would reach the convenience store that was on the other side.

'Hmm?'

Just as he was about to cross the road, he saw headlights flashing from a distance and increasingly growing closer to him. He wouldn't be able to make it to the other side considering the road was ridiculously wide and the car was quickly closing distance.

' Sigh, let me just wait for it to pass. It wouldn't hurt to wait a few minutes. '

Ryan thought as his mouth began salivating as he watched the convenience store from far away.

' Oh, the chips and chocolate I am going to eat today. '

Just as the car which now appeared to be a truck was about to pass him -who had been ridiculously close to the road, Ryan saw it sway at the last minute and started heading towards him.

' What the flying fuck! '

He cursed as he caught sight of a driver who had their head slightly leaning towards the truck's dashboard - undoubtedly falling asleep on the wheel.

But it was too late for him to jump out of the way - not that he could anyway.

Ryan collided with the truck which sent him flying despite his obviously overweight body, on his way he was halted by a harsh metal streetlight he hit.

The sound of cracking bones intensified as Ryan's mind began to waver like a dancer's ribbon on a windy day, his mind also slowly started disappearing into the darkness that was swallowing his sight. It seemed the truck was bigger than Ryan assumed it to be.

Yet despite the circumstances, Ryan couldn't help but curse as his body fell onto the cold ground.

'Curse you Truck-kun...'
