Entry 3

(Entry: Estimated Date Unknown)

(The handwriting is noticeably more steady than the last entry)

We are departing tomorrow. This land is to convoluted for children to run upon it, and learn of its history. If I, the guardian chosen by our unearthly parent, cannot decide if what has happened is right, then we must move. I will continue to think, but until then, we are searching for our new abode. Our journey will start through the forest, and it is clear we are apprehensive about it, even I am. We have heard from nomads across the land there are bountiful plains of green on the other side, and it seems that would be a perfect place to start our new beginnings.

We have made it, but we ecountoured something quite unusual during our travels. We passed a pack of wolves near their home, and they all looked at us. They were not the famished, starved beasts I was accustomed to seeing outside of my old home, but they were full, their fur shown in sunrays casted from to trees, and their stature was high and mighty, akin to a man coming home from a hunt. They did not attack, only watched as we passed. There was one creature who looked the proudest of all. Her eyes shown golden in the light, and her legs were buff and meaty as a grown man’s arm. Her eyes followed me until they were but a small dot in the horizon. They were beautiful. They were terrifying. They could have swallowed us up in a mere hour, perhaps less. I hope they will not follow up to our settlement. I hope they find some other source of food to feed their family.
