(The top of this page is smeared with a charcoal of some sort. It looks like there were words at some point, but either age or somebody’s intention has erased it. Considering how all other writings have been preserved well from time, it’s more likely that somebody tried to erase the writing, with their hands possibly used to smear the writing to make it unreadable. The entry begins around half way down the page.)

Does it count as murder when it is deserved, when 4 monster defy nature and try to take life in their own lifes? Am I the same as them, even when I did not kill them? I only told my people about the heathens and how the only way to save themselves from their own actions was to end them. How do I know?

(There appears to be several attempts at writing over on the next page, but they stop either half through a word, or a sentence. The majority are statements starting with “I” and they go on from there. The handwriting suggests the person writing was shaky, or the surface they were writing on was unstable.)
