"Thy founding state, augments thine neural coordination while escalating maneuverability. Alas, consuming much verve from thy garth. Instead, thy shalt concentrate on ambition. Indeed, singularity still holds utmost eminence but the path diverging could yet bear fruit."
"(My first state allows me to make swift decisions on my movements in real time. It basically increases the speed of my next action that I have planned in my mind and not so much the strength. This way I can take down all six of those men in the blink of an eye but even that small time frame costs an incredible amount of energy. To prevent myself from losing consciousness, I must set my state's focus on what I want to achieve right now and spread the aura around my body accordingly. I might be vulnerable for the next split second but the enhanced efficiency is a decent tradeoff)."
As Hoshi walked towards the fight, red aura began emanating from his body and his irises began radiating. Shortly afterwards that entire presence dispersed except the red shimmer on his right arm and left leg. His red eyes were set on the six men in front of him as he trudged between the observing crowd which were intimidated by the force of his vitality.
"Get away from him." Hoshi scowled as he walked towards the man wielding the metal rod.
"Look at what we have here. Even with those muscles you are still a brat. Back off or your mother will be busy fixing your bones all night!" the man jeered.
Hoshi didn't falter one bit and continued forward which made one of the others to speak, "Didn't you hear him? This doesn't concern you. Turn back."
"Hoshi, stay back. You don't have to," Xiang stressed.
"You shut up! You are so pathetic a brat is coming to protect your sorry ass." The first oppressor placed his metal rod on the fallen's head.
"And you are even more pathetic as you will be beaten up by that very brat," mocked Xiang.
"Oh really? I am so scared I…"
Hoshi pressed his left leg against the floor to gain the reactive momentum that swiftly made him close the distance between him and the brute he interjected. He followed by charging up a kick from his right leg which his opponent easily predicted and arranged his metal rod accordingly for a block.
Little did he know this was just a fake to let Hoshi swing the wooden stick he was holding in his right hand diagonally, hitting two different persons on the face in an instant. He and one of his allies fell down on the ground, completely knocked out by the sheer force the momentum of the swing brought to their skulls. This however cost Hoshi his weapon which broke in half.
The four remaining brutes and the observing crowd were perplexed to see such a quick execution of a coordinated attack that was onerous to see in the first place.
"What was that!? You freak!?" The four oppressors who were still standing rushed at their red eyed adversary in an attempt to break his bones.
Hoshi now transferred the radiant red glow from his left leg and right arm to both his arms which allowed him to swing the two broken pieces of his wooden broomstick in such a manner it hit the temples of two of his opponents. Both pieces broke into tiny fragments but again, the force was enough to knock two more men out cold.
The final two brutes were so overwhelmed by this sudden attack that they took a step back from Hoshi and stared at their fallen allies.
"How are you this strong? How did those thin pieces of wood knock out hunters of this size?" One of the remainder questioned, flabbergasted.
"You two should leave, someone needs to get these four checked out," advised Hoshi.
"We will be back! Don't think you have won!"
The two did exactly as Hoshi suggested and picked up their fallen comrades to escort them out of the guild house.
The normal observers and even the hunters were marginally surprised to see how Hoshi handled the situation and were about to interview him for that. Before they jumped on him however, a tall decently built man wearing an armor set that had a sturdy looking mirror finish on it walked in from one the back doors while clapping.
"That was such a wonderful display of strength that even I was entertained! What's your name, young one?" The man was in his middle ages and had a well defined face which had a few scars on it. He also had a short stubble in addition to his knot up medium sized dark brown hair and light blue irises. His armor was well crafted, having many protrusions and plates which all contributed to a wyvern like design. It was mostly clear silver resembling a mirror with some streaks of red, green and black portraying muscle contours.
Oddly enough, the crowd backed off exactly the moment this new man arrived and now stared at him in awe instead.
"Who are you?" Hoshi asked.
"He is the one you wanted to meet, Sir Kaz… I still can't take his name, it's embarrassing." Sakura reacted first followed by the newcomer, addressing himself in a proud manner.
"It is I, none other than the great Kazan Takahashi! Not many get the attention of this insanely skilled hunter's beautiful eyes as you have. If you want to celebrate, now is the time because I want you to talk to me in private."
Before Hoshi could react, the crowd went wild and began fanboying over Kazan.
"Sir Kazan! Please make me your student!"

"How many monsters have you defeated?"
"Sir please I need a favour from you!"
The male side uttered, loudly.
"Sir Kazan, please marry me!"
"No! marry me! I am a strong and wealthy woman!"
"I want to be the one to talk to you in private!"
The female side presented, even more loudly.
"All of you shut up! He is the only one who will decide who to marry! Right? Sir… Sir Kazan?" Sakura intervened.
"Oh Sakura, I agree to marry you if you can convince that stubborn father of yours." Kazan spoke while winking one of his eyes.
"Being the owner of this guildhouse, my father developed such a bloated ego and that doesn't allow me to marry anyone before he wants," complained Sakura.
"Same issue with me." Chika raised her right arm.
"That's too bad, if I was a father I would've let someone this handsome take away my daughters any day! Hahaha!" Kazan boasted.
"Ah Shit, here we go again," mumbled Xiang as he got up.
"(I can see why Xiang dislikes this guy, he totally forgot about me) Hey! You wanted to talk with me?" Hoshi bursted the proud man's bubble.
"Oh yeah. Apologies, I got carried away with the ladies, not a new thing. Come with me to my office!" Kazan turned around.
"Wait, I will also be coming with you," said Xiang, cracking his back to nullify the pain.
"You? Fine so be it." Kazan wasn't so pleased with that idea but after allowing it, he walked back through the door he emerged from.
"Are you sure about this?" cautioned Hoshi.
"Yes, just make him let us accept the contract and we will be on our way." After nodding to each other both Hoshi and Xiang followed the man through the door which led to a well carpeted corridor containing rooms for the manager on the right, more rooms for other special hunters on the left and one room on the far front for the owner.
Kazan made his way into the one room on the right and opened its wooden door for his guests.
"You are also the manager of this place?" queried Hoshi.
"That's correct, amazing right?" Kazan waited for the two to enter the room before he closed the door and accompanied.
The room was long but lacked the width and everything inside was arranged very ergonomically. Its silky green curtains, elegant furniture, fascinating paintings of nature and its brown abstractly designed carpet gave off a luxurious yet sophisticated appearance to the room. At the far left, there was a white table made up of a thicker wood than normal which was holding up a few books, a pen and a few metal trophies of wild beasts.
Kazan slowly walked towards the table and sat down on a large revolving chair made up of red tinted leather stitched to perfection. Behind him, was a large shelf displaying various stuffed heads of the High ranked creatures he defeated in battle, all enclosed in a reinforced sheet of glass.
"Have a seat, you two." Kazan forwarded his hand towards his well cushioned red velvet settees in front of his table which went well with the short furry brown carpet underneath an orange tinted glass table.
"(Hmph. The furniture in my Palace is miles better than this)." Xiang observed the room before sitting down where he was told.
"I'm good right here." Hoshi preferred to keep standing up right in front of Kazan's table.
"Suit yourself. You are probably wondering why such a busy and elegant man called you in for a chat. Well, it's because I was observing you when you took down those troublemakers. Never have I seen such a cultivated way of coordination in a bar fight like this. I would say it was only second to me, the great-"
"With all due respect, can you please get to the point?" Hoshi interrupted.
"I don't like being cut off, child. The thing is, I have an offer for you." Kazan's expressions suddenly changed to much more serious.
"What offer?"
"Help me defeat The Ao Fenikkusu. In return, you shall receive a hefty reward alongside one of the finest mansions in this city," Kazan placed out.
"What? Are you serious?" Flabbergasted Hoshi.
"(Well that was easy)," thought Xiang.
"Damn straight I am! You have the potential to stand by my side and pierce that flying bastard right in the sky! So what do you say? You in?" Kazan excitedly asked.
"I don't get it, you are the one who set insanely high requirements for the contract on the Fenikkusu and now you are also asking a child for your support on that exact hunt. That just doesn't make sense to me," puzzled Hoshi.
"No one is taking up that contract because of how dangerous that creature is even after fulfilling the requirements. So I decided to remove it and hand pick one another party member in order to get rid of that troublesome bird once and for all," Kazan replied.
"You just want to snatch all the adamantine in that cave and become even more rich, don't you?" spoke Xiang.
"You can't be more wrong. I have my own personal reasons to defeat that phoenix."
"What reasons?" questioned Hoshi.
"That's not your concern. You just tell me if you are in or not?"
"Are you sure both of us have enough strength to defeat the Ao Fenikkusu?" Hoshi doubted.
"I think it will be enough. But if you doubt your own strength that much why not give a go against me? If you are able to hit a single blow on me, you are more than adequate for this job," stated Kazan as he got up from his chair.
"How will that evaluate my strength compared to the Ao Fenikkusu?" Hoshi queried.
"Don't underestimate him, Hoshi. As much as I despise him, I can't deny that his combat skills are honed to the maximum. He has defeated thousands of dangerous creatures and also taken down one of the other divine beasts, the infamous Leo Moeru," Xiang emphasized.
"That's the guy back there" -Kazan pointed towards the stuffed head of a massive orange and red haired lion with mirror like eyes- "who almost took out my arm. Luckily I had this adamantine armor on and managed to behead the beast with my diamond blade Claymore."
"Is that so? So how are we going to do this?" asked Hoshi after he glanced at the trophy.
"We will use wooden swords and the one who gets a proper hit on his opponent, wins," explained Kazan.
"Fine, let's do this. I wanted to test my strength on someone competent anyways," said Hoshi, being quite pumped up himself.
"(Do I get a say in this? Or should I just scram?)" wondered Xiang.
