Hop is a purple-haired rival from Pokemon Sword and Shield named Hop. His name is Hop. Not hot, not hob, not hom, not cop, not lop, not top, not home, not zop, not cot, not blob, not bob, not job, not sob, not cool, not YOUR MOM, not dop, not sap, not hop on hop notch hop, not hip, not hot.
The important thing to know here is that Hop is not hot. If you do call him Hot, there will be major consequences. Also, he will judge your soul.
But anyways, Hop has yet another major problem other than people calling him the wrong name. A long time ago, before Hop seemed to exist, there was another boy named Hau. Hau, in contrast to Hop, was a joyous rival from Pokemon Sun and Moon. Hau and Hop got along like peanut butter and jelly; they were some of the joyous people around.
However, one unfortunate day, Hop decided he had been called “Hot” for the last time. With a gleam in his eye and a thirst for destruction, Hop left Hau. Hop went to the main area of the Pokemon World and started a great war called the Hop War.
In the Pokemon World, three “worlds” lived in peace: Anime, Game, and Manga. The worlds didn’t collide much, until Hop arrived. Hop tried to attack with fire and raw power; however, the worlds were smarter.

People from each of their respective worlds decided to band together and create a force against Hop. Despite this, some decided to stay with Hop. Conflict arose as friends were split apart when alliances conflicted. The battle lasted for months, maybe even years, but much still isn’t known about the Hop War.
That being said, Hop had an unfortunate defeat, and the worlds were victorious. Using their victory and Pokemon power, the main heroes used the move Metronome to send Hop far, far away. That seemed to be the end of the Hop War.
Many, many years later, at the beginning of 2023, Hop reemerged. No one seems to know why or how he came back, but now Hop’s intentions are as evil as can be.
Hop walked up the summit of Mt. Silver. Legends say that the mountain is off-limits to all but the most skilled trainers, but that encouraged Hop more. He took over the mountain and declared it his secret hideout.
Hop was back, and he was more powerful than ever. There were few things that could stop him now. He decided he was going to take over the Pokemon World, so that’s what he’s going to do.
