Hop slowly regained consciousness. At least, he thought he did. He couldn’t see anything but darkness, and endless void. For all he knew, he was dreaming. He was sure that he beat the truck, but maybe he got knocked out in the process. He was bound to wake up any minute now…

Hop listened to the voice, confused about what it was saying. He couldn’t see anything that could be making any noise, much less talking. And, wait, did the voice say reincarnation?

[integrating subject into new region…]
Hop began to feel a sort of rushing downward, although it was too dark to tell if he was actually moving. He began to fall faster and faster, his eyes began to water. Hop squeezed his eyes shut.
Hop opened his eyes slowly. He was in a strange field, with a few trees and plants and nothing else that looked man-made around. Hop sat up and looked around. And then a nearby tree exploded.

Hop was thrown back by the blast, almost losing consciousness again. Panicking, and blinded by smoke from the explosion he scrambled away.
Once Hop realized he was no longer in danger, he collapsed on the soft grass of… wherever this place was. He began to think of the isekai stories he had read on his school chrome book back home. The mysterious voice had said reincarnation hadn't it?
And he had just blown up an entire tree…
“Hey! Hey kid!!” A man with a cape and long purple hair was running towards Hop. "What a weird coincidence that he has purple hair too." Hop thought, dazed. But before his mind could wander any more, the man ran up to him, grabbed Hop's shoulders, and shook him vigorously.
“ARE YOU OKAY??” the man asked loudly. “ I w ould b e if y ou s top ed sh a king m e!” Hop grunted, thoroughly shaken up. He glared at the man who was shaking him.
“Oh.” the man let go of Hop. “Well, I'm glad you're okay. I saw that explosion and rushed over here. My name is Leon, what's your name?”
“I'm Hop.”
“Hi Hop!” Leon exclaimed. “Do you know what caused that explosion earlier?”
Hop paused. As far as he knew he was in a completely new world, and had no idea how someone from this world would react when they were confronted with the fact that a twelve year old had just blown up an whole tree.
“Um, no I don’t know what happened, or even how it happened.” That part, at least, was the truth.
Leon fell silent. “It must have been another berzerk Pokemon. They've been popping up all over the place lately… I'll have to talk to Chairman Rose about this.” Leon muttered under his breath, being the most quiet he had been since Hop had first seen him.
“U-um.” Hop awkwardly interjected. “I think I’m lost. Can you take me to the nearest town or something?”
Leon stared at Hop for a minute, before he began to laugh.
“Hey, whats so funny?” Hop asked angrily. Was Leon making fun of him for being lost?
“Hahaha… nah, it's just funny.” Leon was still chuckling.
“Why? I’m lost in a place where trees can randomly blow up, how is that funny?!” Hop yelled.
“It's just that… I’m lost too.” Leon replied with a laugh.
