Chapter 12: Blood Games - Day 1

Chapter 12: Blood Games - Day 1

Eiffel was sleeping peacefully in his room.

Jack came in and yelled, "NOOB! WAKE THE HELL UP!"

"AAAHH!!!", Eiffel woke up as if lightning bolted on his head.

"What!? What time is it?", said Eiffel then he checked out the clock on his phone.

"Early to bed and early to rise. Look your absolute best at all times. Exercise to the extreme and stick to a healthy diet. Get hyper-focused and step up your game!", Jack stated.

"It's only 6 O'clock! Why would I wake up this early when class starts at 9?", Eiffel was irritated.

"Are you defying your father's orders?", Jack asked with an evil look on his face. Then he continued, "Time for some morning warm-up! SO JUST GET THE *BEEP* UP!"

Eiffel looked around and Grate was nowhere to be found so he wondered where he went off to.

Next scene. Grate and Eiffel were doing pushups under a tree.

"B-boi! Did Jack text you?", Grate asked.

"No?", Eiffel replied.

"What a sucky father you have... Richard texted me last night to wake up early today. Also, he told us to be at the Ques by 8.00 PM, tonight. There's gonna be a huge party!", Grate was very cheerful.

"Too sweet!", said Eiffel. Grate felt tired so he lay flat on the ground.

"Hey! Did I say stop?", Richard yelled.

"Dude, I'm so tired!", Grate was exhausted.

"I'm not your 'dude'. Who am I?", Richard was being hard on him.

"Father...", Grate answered.

"That's right.", said Richard.

"What about you, noob? Are you quitting too?", Jack asked Eiffel.

"No, father.", Eiffel replied.

"Damn straight!", said Jack.

"Why do we have to do this in our underwear?", Eiffel asked annoyingly.

"Yeah, I don't get why that's a punishment.", Grate felt the same way.

"Well, noobs, this was just your warm-up. Time for your first real assignment. Follow me.", Jack stated. Eiffel and Grate stopped doing push-ups. Then they were following Jack and Richard's lead.

Then. Inside Masquerade's mansion. Jack, who was wearing a Devil's mask and under a spotlight, was taking the stage. Richard was by his side. Something was covered up behind them. Eiffel, Grate, and the rest of the Ques were in the audience seats under a red light.

"Noobs! The time has come to prove your worth. You don't become a brother overnight and this weekend was just a simple warm up. One week. One week is what you must endure. But not just any week. Dear Brothers, it's that time of year again. It's time for-", Jack stated.

"BLOOD GAMES!", the Ques chanted.

"One week of trials to test every fiber of your beings. One week to test if you and your noob brother are worthy to join the true brotherhood.", said Jack.

"If you can't prove to us that you and your noob brother can work together, fighting alongside, enduring hell...we can't expect you to live by the Que code.", said Richard.

"ONLY QUE IS REAL!", the Ques chanted.

"And now it's time for the grand reveal! Rich!", said Jack as he beckoned Richard to do something.

"Let me proudly present... *uncovers the board* THE BLOODY PLEDGE BOARD!", Richard unveiled.

"Holy Crap!", Grate was astonished.

"We're going to do all that in one week?", Eiffel was shocked to see what was written on the board.

"12 tasks! One week...sort of. Rich, tell them the rules.", said Jack.

"The following rules must be followed! Rule number 1; Proof or Que witness is needed for every task. Rule number 2; You may choose who completes the tasks or you can cooperate. But to give you some motivation...the noob who pulls the most weight during Blood Games will get a special prize if the list is completed. And finally... Rule number 3! Blood Games ends at 8 pm on Friday. On average, that means you must complete more than 2 tasks per day... Marlin! Busquets! Bring them in!", Richard stated.

Then Marlin and Busquets brought in 2 big cases of beer.

"Ah, another fun part of the game. The 100 beer challenge.", said Jack.

"These beers are yours. Finish them by Friday to complete the task.", said Richard.

"Wait a minute. You said Blood Games ends on Friday, but today is Monday. So we have 5 days to finish the tasks?", Eiffel asked.

"I thought 7 days as you said.", said Grate.

"Yes. The rest 2 days will be weekends and that will be post Blood Games Masquerade house party!", Jack cheered up.

Other Ques chanted, "Ques! Ques! Ques!"

"Because what does the Que code number 6 say? Weekends on Masquerade house mean?", Jack asked the Ques.

"It's Party All Night!", Ques chanted.

"That's *beep* right!", said Jack.

"Bring out the final item.", Richard said to the Ques. Duncan and Bumcan brought in one clown mask.

"Noobs! Look at this fine treasure. This is the traditional 24/7 noob mask of Masquerade. All the legendary Ques of this house have wore this iconic piece of wealth in the past. A noob shall have to wear it throughout Blood Games until it's over. And it doesn't matter if you are eating your lunch, having a bath, having a good night's sleep, or even if you are studying in your class, you gotta stay loyal to the Que rituals and wear this mask 24/7 without taking this off. Of course, you can swap it with your noob brother. We have this tradition in the house... and we are passing that torch to the two of you. So, which one of you noobs wants to wear it first?", Jack stated and asked.

"Eiffel?", Grate asked.

"I'll have to wear it even when I am in the class? *thinks of Sarah*", Eiffel thought then answered, "Not me!"

"Okay then I'll have it.", said Grate before he took the mask and wore it.

"I'm very disappointed in you, son.", Jack said to Eiffel.

"And Moving on... The Blood Games starts *clock ticked at 7 AM* Now!", Richard stated.

"Meaning that you'll have to successfully accomplish at least one task before your class starts!", Jack stated.

"What!?", Eiffel and Grate reacted.

"So, off you go!", said Richard.

"I don't understand... Now? Can't we do this later?", Eiffel asked.

"Do I need to repeat myself, son?", Jack asked Eiffel.

"No...father.", said Eiffel.

"That's right. So, get the *beep* on it!", Jack ordered them.

Later. On a side of a road. Eiffel and Grate were sitting on a bench. Eiffel was using binoculars to find something. He found Jack and Richard on the other side who were looking at them. Grate was wearing a clown mask with a big red nose on it.

"What's our strategy?", Grate asked.

"To complete it?", said Eiffel.

"Yeah, do we split it down the middle or what?", Grate asked.

"I don't know, dude... I think it's better to cooperate.", said Eiffel.

"I never thought you'd want to do that with me.", said Grate in surprise.

"To cooperate?", Eiffel asked.

"No, to double team a teacher.", said Grate in joy.

"No, that wasn't what I was saying. I meant we try to help each other out and do the tasks together... except for the ones that include dating.", said Eiffel.

"My expectations.", Grate grieved.

"But just look at the tasks. This Blood Games challenge is all about testing our mental strength, endurance, capabilities, our patience, courage, and fears. It's about testing our limits. By the end of this challenge, we will know what kind of men we truly are.", Eiffel stated.

"Noobs! Look alive!", Jack alerted those two by showing them an HP officer.

One fat HP officer stopped a car then he was checking out the driver's license and papers. Afterward, he started to blackmail the driver and tried to take bribe money from him.

"3000 Vowels or Jail? You decide.", the HP officer smirked. The driver was in great fear.

Grate and Eiffel put on balaclavas, removed their shirts and pants, and they were only in their underwear.

"The officer seems to be some sort of a corrupted cop or something.", Grate commented as they were slowly sneaking their way to the HP officer.

"Why do I have to do this in my underwear and balaclava?", Eiffel asked.

"So that we don't get caught.", Grate answered.

"I've understood that part. But why on my underwear?", Eiffel was annoyed.

"Que ritual.", said Grate.

"I hope it's not for the other tasks... Damn, man. It feels like for the first time in my life, I'm nervous... If we get caught, we're in big trouble.", said Eiffel in anxiety.

"That's why we have the balaclavas. Besides, he's fat, we're not. We should be able to outrun him.", said Grate in a muffled voice.

"Remember the condition? I think you forgot your phone. Remember they want photo proof.", said Eiffel in a muffled voice as well.

"Don't worry about it. I have my phone in my underwear.", said Grate as Eiffel got annoyed.

"Now, run for it!", said Grate.

"Come on now! Give me 3000 vowels and it will be over pretty soon.", said the HP officer. All of a sudden, Eiffel grabbed the officer from behind and then dropped him with the German Suplex as Grate got the photo clicked on his phone. Then Eiffel and Grate were celebrating for successfully accomplishing their first Blood Games task 'Beat Up A Hunting Party Officer'.

But unexpectedly, the HP officer got up and said, "Ouch! That hurt a bit. You brats!"

Eiffel and Grate got his attention and then ran for it. The officer started to chase them. Jack and Richard were laughing a seeing them. Eiffel and Grate bumped into Catherina and Diantha Braganza during the run. They said sorry to the teachers and continued to run.

Diantha and Catherina wondered and said, "They looked familiar..."

The HP officer cornered Eiffel in an alley.

"You've had your fun. Put your hands on your head and drop to your knees. You are under arrest... Then again for instance, I'd like to see who's under the mask.", the officer smirked as he was about to take off Eiffel's balaclava.

"Shit!", Eiffel reacted in silence.

Out of nowhere, Grate appeared and jumped to fart on the officer's mouth.

"Ugh! What the-! *coughs* Oh my lord! I can taste it!", the HP officer was disgusted and then he vomited as Grate and Eiffel fled.

Eiffel and Grate were laughing as they were fleeing.

"That was fun!", Grate cheered up.

"You got the pictures we needed?", Eiffel asked.

"Yeah, the Ques will love these shots.", said Grate.

"Do you always keep your phone in your underwear?", Eiffel asked suspiciously.

"I like the vibration it makes when someone calls me.", Grate joked.

"...I'm never calling you again.", Eiffel got annoyed.

"Ah, come on! You should try it as well.", Grate joked again.

"Shut up! We're going to be late for class if we don't hurry up.", said Eiffel.

"You are right. Let's go.", Grate agreed as Jack and Richard arrived.

"Not so fast, noobs!", said Jack.

"That was a pretty impressive run. I'd say that my son was the star of that one.", said Richard.

"Are you serious? My son even took a bump during that run!", said Jack.

"You're right... This one is too close to call.", Richard was being thoughtful.

"For that, I have an idea. Let's have the coin decide who gets more credit for this.", said Jack as he flipped a coin.

"HEADS!", Grate called for it, but it was tails.

"...My son won the toss.", Jack answered.

"Aww...", Grate reacted in disappointment.

"Hey, don't pout! That's one task you can cross off the board!", Richard cheered them up.

"Hey, that's right! Our first completed task!", Grate was joyful then had a high five with Eiffel and said, "Nice one, B-boi!"

"For instance, I'm proud of you noobs. Keep up the good work. Chill out. Time for classes.", said Jack before leaving.

Eiffel and Grate returned to their dorm and they were getting ready for class. It was 8:45 AM. 15 minutes to go. Then they opened up the cases of beer and a couple of cans to drink them.

"Man, 10 of these per day, each... We're going to be drunk constantly...", said Eiffel.

"If we spread it out evenly over the day, it might work.", said Grate.

"How are we going to do that when we have classes and all? You know they have that stupid rule about alcohol on campus.", said Eiffel.

"We can always chug a lot before bedtime. We'll figure it out. Cheers to Blood Games, mate.", said Grate.

"Cheers to Blood Games.", said Eiffel before they cheered with their cans.

"The list is not impossible! We can do it, Bro!", Grate was highly motivated and encouraged as well as very confident.

"But dating a teacher and also spending a night in a Morgue? ...I know I said I'd do it, but it's such a risk. If it gets out...think about the consequences.", said Eiffel.

"Come on, man. We've accomplished one of the advanced tasks already; beating up an HP officer. Told you it's not impossible. We can do it.", Grate encouraged him.

"These are very daring tasks. Although they are not as daring as the final task on the board.", said Eiffel.

"Oh yeah... I agree with you on that one.", said Grate.

Then they remembered their conversation with the Ques about the Blood Games tasks earlier that morning.

"Holy Crap!", Grate was astonished.

"We're going to do all that in one week?", Eiffel was shocked to see what was written on the board.

Below is the list of Blood Games tasks that were on the Bloody Pledge Board:

[Time Limit: 1 Week/7 Days

Basic Tasks:

1. Drink 100 cans of Beer

2. Steal Clothes from Queendom

3. Steal a Towel from Muscleverse

4. Do a Prank on Books and Beans

5. Egg the Riches

6. Beat up an Imperial College Student

Advanced Tasks:

1. Steal a Toe Tag from the Morgue

2. Pluck a Leaf from the Crematorium's Tree of the Undead on a Full Moon Night

3. Date a Teacher

4. Beat up a Hunting Party officer

5. Steal an Eye of a Cyclops

6. Commit a Murder]

"Do you see what I see, B-boi?", Grate asked in fear.

"Why? Are you having second thoughts now?", Eiffel asked.

"No. I mean the tasks. Just look at them. Spend a night in a morgue? Visit a crematorium at night? I don't mind dating a teacher, but man... These tasks are way out of our league.", Grate commented.

"Haha! You two are surely gonna have a hell of a week!", said Richard.

"I'm fine with all the tasks except for the last one. Commit a Murder? Like seriously? What on earth were you guys thinking when coming up with this idea?", Eiffel asked furiously.

Jack laughed like evil for a while then said, "This is what the Blood Games is all about. Commit a Murder. Only for this task is why the Blood Games became very popular around the globe!"

"He meant Astorion.", Marlin said to Eiffel.

"Shut up!", Jack yelled at Marlin as the other Ques laughed.

"I understand. You must've been on something nuts to make this task. Maybe weeds are cheaper these days, huh?", Eiffel commented.

"Hey! Watch your mouth, noob!", Jack confronted Eiffel then got on his face and continued harshly, "Committing a murder. We all have done it. We all have done all the tasks to get where we are today. We are Masquerade. We are the Ques. Only Que is the real deal... Prove that you are a man by playing the Blood Games and doing all the tasks."

"Committing a murder only makes you inhuman and nothing else... Definitely not a man. So, I refuse to play your Blood Games.", Eiffel said to Jack with no fear in his eyes. Then he said to Grate, "Let's go." Then Eiffel was about to leave.

"...I don't care who you are. I don't care who it is. I will never forgive anyone that tries to ruin the Que code, Masquerade rituals, and traditions, which we Ques take very seriously. They will be punished no matter who they are. You are gonna have hell to pay if you leave this house now with the intention of not playing the Blood Games... You don't want to commit murder? Fine. Just play the game and you don't disrespect our rituals!", Jack made a bold statement.

Eiffel stopped, got back to his face, and said, "You are on. But, keep one thing in mind. I said it before and I'm saying it again. I'm gonna make you regret taking me into this house, dear father.", Eiffel said confidently as Jack gave a sinister grin. The other Ques and Grate separated them from their face-to-face confrontation.
