feb. 8 20xx : Log 10

When I woke up I found Jim talking to Gosbi. It seems as though “Holmes” somehow managed to convince him to talk. I joined them and Jim began reciting his story.

Apparently, he was walking by the dock on the first of January and witnessed the murder firsthand. The killers spotted him. One of them injected some strange liquid into him while the other went through his wallet. After seeing he was an officer they blackmailed him into removing any files mentioning them and disposing of incriminating evidence. That was all he could tell us as if he so much as mentioned the identity of the murders he would be their next victim. He did mention a bear though.

I insisted Jim stay at my place so we could protect him. Jim refused saying he got himself into this mess and the last thing he wanted were other people getting involved.

When Jim left Gosbi began going through every report done on the hares. Stating there was no bear in the family. Even suggesting that Jim had only imagined a bear in the hysteria of the moment. Then again if the culprit wanted to erase themselves it makes sense there would be one or two records missing.

At the very least we now know we aren't dealing with one person. Of course, Mr. Gosbi’s gone back to his original theory of the little girl and her boyfriend, despite no evidence connecting them back to the crime.

Tomorrow he wants to go down to the docks. He didn’t say why, but it seemed as though he has a plan.

Guess we're going hunting tomorrow.
