feb. 15 20xx : Log 13

I haven’t been writing as much recently. After the Hare’s case, things have pretty much gone back to normal. So far the worst offense I’ve gotten was a report of a demented clown. You’d be surprised how common those ones are. As you can guess, there were no clowns, demented or otherwise. Just a sad man in need of a therapist. Honestly, some people watch too many movies. When I mentioned it to Gosbi he just looked at me condescendingly. Like he knows something, I don’t, it's worrisome but I’ve learned not to question it.

Even though I’m happy with how things have been these last few days, Gosbi has been a lot more interested in making mountains out of molehills. Personally, I just think he’s bored. Not that we don’t have work but according to Gosbi the work we have is as he says, “a waste of time.”

Of course, this all changed this morning when we received a letter. It was addressed to Mr. Holms, it looked like the person had crossed something out before writing “Holmes” I can only assume it’s Gosbi’s real name. Gosbi’s eyes lit up as he read the letter. Before running upstairs and shutting himself in his room. Today Gosbi explained the details of the note.

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.

A man, by the name of Scott Flouts, was drowned in the fountain of an electronic’s company known as Virtue World. His death has been marked as suicide as there are multiple witnesses who can confirm this. Joseph Deets, the head of Virtue World, thinks there’s more going on. He wants to hire Gosbi to figure out what. I’ve heard about Mr. Deets, he’s known throughout Harlem as an upstanding individual, even receiving a peace prize for his advancements in technology. I can’t imagine why Gosbi's so interested in this case. Either way, Gosbi’s told me he’s taking the case in hopes to “cave his boredom” I don’t see a problem with it as long as I keep an eye on him. Besides I’m curious too.
