Her poison resistance wasn't high enough to fight off the poison. She cursed herself for not being more aware of her surroundings. She didn't think they would try to kidnap her again in the middle of the town! How did they even find her?
Arya woke up dazed. She was in what seemed to be a storage room. She heard voices from outside the door. "She destroyed the bracelets! I had to run around looking for her all day and use a strong sleeping poison to get her to stop. I had to get a new bracelet, who knows when she will wake up! I did what you asked me, just take her and give me the money!" It was Vortric's voice. "She can destroy the bracelets? Hmm, I'll deal with it, here is your money. You can leave now. Keep quiet about this" It was a woman's voice. Arya destroyed her two bracelets by ruining the mana flow. It took a little bit of time, but it was much easier now. She checked the description of

Lets you manipulate ambient mana

- You can move a moderate amount of ambient mana to your will in a 58 meter radius around you
- With enough time in direct contact with an enchantment, you can destroy mana enchantments that are weaker than you
Enchantments? Maybe it meant handmade things, like the bracelets. The door to the little room she was in opened. A woman with long red hair was in the doorway "Oh you are awake. Great! I see you destroyed one of the bracelets again... Because I'm so generous I will give you a new one, if you destroy the bracelets one more time I will destroy your hands, understood?" The woman said with a playful smile. Arya nodded. The woman put another bracelet on Arya's arm. Arya wasn't in any shape to fight back. She would try again when she had a better understanding of the situation. "You are
Arya remembered that the woman said that she couldn't take off the bracelets or make noise... she didn't actually mention trying to escape. Well she knew she shouldn't be testing fate with that kind of woman, but she had no choice here! She decided to try to open the door. She expected it to be locked, but somehow Angela had forgotten to lock it. She looked outside to see if anyone was there. No one was visible and she stepped out in what looked to be a single-room apartment. Medieval apartment of course, but everything was in the same room. A kitchen in the corner, a bed, something that looked to be a research table, and an alchemy station that looked like you would see in movies or games. On the floor were various magic circles. 'Have I been taken to a crazy witch's hut or something?!' But then she remembered that they said the destination was the magic tower. Maybe she could find help? Would the other people in the magic tower help her? Or were they also in on the kidnapping? She would try to ask for help. Her aunt had talked a little bit about the different magic towers, and it didn't sound like an evil organization.
Arya walked to the door of the living space. She carefully opened it and looked out. She saw a hallway full of other doors. One of the doors was different from the rest so she figured that would be the way to go.
Arya gaped when she came through the door. She was on a giant spiraling staircase. In the middle was a hole and she was sure she could look up and down hundreds of meters. Was it some kind of visual effect? She was so mesmerized that she didn't notice the guy in front of her. "Are you lost?" He said. Arya jolted back and looked at him. "I was kidnapped! Can you help me? A-are you with them?" She stuttered because she was stressed and startled. "Woah, hold on you were kidnapped? Wait, those are mana-draining bracelets... Uh, I should probably call for help?" He said. "I don't know, she said she would kill my family if I took the bracelets off or if I made noise... she did leave the door open though" Arya said. "Which room did you come from? I will try to figure out who they are." The guy said. "Oh she introduced herself as Angela Caruso" Arya said. "Seriously? Ok, I will talk to the tower head... don't worry about your parents, everything will be ok." He said. "Ok... thanks... what's your name by the way?" Arya asked. "Zaki" He said and vanished. Arya was shocked. The mana around him seemed to open a hole through space, which he vanished through. Arya could briefly see through the hole. On the other side, she saw a glimpse of an old man sitting in an office. And then she saw Zaki appear in front of the old man before the space closed.
Arya was shocked and she was also shocked by the fact that she just learned a new skill, just by watching him once. Arya looked at the newly learned skill

That was cool. She guessed she learned it so quickly because of the blessing from the goddess of knowledge. Then she saw space shifting around her. She was not the one doing it. She started to panic and suddenly appeared in the same office she vaguely saw through the space fissures. She felt that she gained another skill and briefly took a look at it.

She shifted her attention to the old man and Zaki. "Um hi? You're not with the kidnappers right?" Arya asked. "No, I heard what happened. My name is Jacob Merydian, the tower head of the magic tower of fire. I apologize deeply for what Angela has done." The old man said. "Ok... Mr. Merydian. Can you help me? I'm scared she will hurt my parents..." Arya asked. She wasn't sure if she addressed him right, but that didn't matter much to her right now. "Yes, there is no need to worry I have two trackers working to find her and her helpers. They will find her any second now" Mr. Merydian said. "Ok, one of her companions was someone named Vortric from my village... He used to be my dad's friend." Arya said. "Noted. You can just wait here while my men find them. When it's safe we will get you home. That's the least we can do when one of our members did something so disgraceful. You were lucky you ran into my great great great great grandson." Mr. Merydian said. Arya nodded.
She wondered how old he was to have great-great-great-great-grandchildren. She wasn't sure if it would be rude to ask or not, but she was currently nine years old so it wasn't weird for her to ask random questions. "How old are you..?" She asked. "I'm 186... and Zaki here is 13 so I would guess you're about the same age."
She looked over at Zaki. He had black hair and yellow eyes, Arya thought he kind of looked like a grumpy cat. He didn't seem angry, it was more like he had a grumpy resting face. She focused on her
She looked over at Mr. Merydian. He kind of looked like a certain old wizard she had seen in movies. He had long white hair and a long white beard. He was wearing robes. She saw that he had a lot of mana with her
Zaki went over to her and with a flick of a finger he summoned a table and two chairs. "How?!" Arya sputtered out. It looked like space expanded and dropped the items out. Space looked different than mana, that might be why it was a different skill that didn't fall under
Arya started to think about her time in this world. She still had a lot to learn about magic, but she didn't hate the calm life in the village. She still wanted to explore more of the world and explore her magical abilities. If she could somehow find a way back to earth, she would at least go for a visit. She would tell her friends and family what happened and maybe bring them with her back. She chuckled at the thought. Zaki waved his hand in front of her face, it made her jerk back in her seat and look over at him. "Are you listening?" Zaki asked. "Ah... uh... I don't know much about magic, so it was difficult to follow." Arya answered. "What? But you have so much mana." Zaki said and looked lost in thought for a second. "No formal education and immense magic talent, you should join the fire magic tower!" Zaki proposed. "Huh? Uh... I would have to ask my parents." Arya said. Zaki nodded.
Zaki started to read a book that he took out of his dimensional storage space. Arya figured out which item held the compressed space. It was one of the many rings on his finger. She saw how Zaki injected mana into his ring. A thread of mana went out of the ring and flew over to the place he wanted the extracted item to land. Then the atmospheric mana made way for the space to open up. An item dropped out of the compressed space. It was another book.
She took a look at the other book he summoned. It was called 'Theories on dimensional space VII' She opened the book and skimmed through a few pages. She soon closed it again. It was way too advanced for her. She had always been the kind of person to try things instead of reading about it. "Hey Zaki, can I have a look at the dimensional storage thingy?" Arya asked. Zaki looked up from his book. "It's not a 'dimensional storage thingy', It's a compressed dimensional space ring!" He said. He took off his ring and passed it over to her. "Yeah, yeah" Arya said and picked it up. She studied the engravings on it. The ring seemed really weird. She could see tiny space fissures within it. She tried to inject her mana into it, but that gave no response. She remembered that space was different from mana and instead tried to focus on it with
Time ticked and Arya still hadn't made any progress. Zaki saw that she was staring at the ring and spoke up. "It's connected to my mana signature, you can't open it" Arya ignored him and kept trying. And suddenly it clicked. She ripped open the space fissures and everything came crashing out. Arya was caught off guard and let out a scream. She was about to be crushed by a mountain of random things when suddenly things came to a halt and everything froze midair. Arya looked around and saw that Mr. Merydian had stood up. "Oh dear, I didn't think you would destroy the dimensional space." He said.
With a flick of his hand, all the items neatly landed in a corner of the room. "I-I didn't mean to..." Arya said. She looked down in shame. Zaki who was frozen in shock the whole time started to move again. "Haaah... I worked hard to make that!" He complained. "I'm so sorry!" Arya said and bowed to him. He let out a sigh. "It's whatever" He said and rolled his eyes. "It's fine Arya, now he has an excuse to make a new one. However that was quite the show, do you have

That made Zaki flinch. "What?! I just... How?!" He said. He seemed speechless.
