Chapter 2: Soul Ceremony

Chapter 2: Soul Ceremony

-- 10 years later - Soul Ceremony - -

Today's the day, I will get my soul weapon.

I'm now ten years old and learned a lot about this world.

First, the city I live in is actually the capital of this country, Lafira.

Here, there are 4 different sections. On the outer walls there is the commoners section. The ones living there are commoners, understandable.

The second section is the market section, which is also parted in two, the commoners market and the nobles market.

The third section is the nobles section where, nobles and wealthy merchants live. In the nobles section there is also the Magic Academy of the capital, where I will be attending after I get my soul weapon. It costs a lot of money, so not everyone can get in. And if you're a commoner it's even more difficult.

Luck's on my side, because my mother is a famous doctor/healer in the Nobelias hospital in the nobles section and my father is the head of the security guards of one of the higher ranking nobles there. They get along pretty good, so I could often come along and I could read a bit in their library, which was gigantic. My family's got a few books at home but that's only a about 2% of what they got there. So in my last years I always bothered my dad to take me with him so I could read. They also sponsored me to do the ceremony because I get along good with their daughter and they think I'm smart enough to be a good fighter or something. I'm pretty grateful.

Their daughter, Lenia, is beautiful and she'll attend this years ceremony with me. She's got beautiful blonde hair, almost golden and she has pretty, light blue eyes

Anyways, in the fourth section, is the royalty, the Greysworth Family. They were royalty since the capital was built, and that's pretty long. I think around 846 years.

My family and I live in the commoners section, but near the walls to the 2 section, where the more "rich" people live.

I also learned that this world's currency is some kind of coins. There are: Copper coins, silver coins, gold coins and enchanted gold coins. 1 Silver coin is 100 copper coins and so on.

The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

Alright, back to me.

----

"Are you excited, sweetie?" My mother asked with a big smile on her face.

"Yep, I'm gonna have the best soul weapon ever and will become a good fighter like dad!"

We were supposed to meet up with Lenia and her family at their house. We got there a bit early and they still needed to dress up.

The one to greet us was Lenia's father, Marath Laniarus, the duke of the capital.

The order is like that: King, duke, marquis, earl, baron. Which also means that he has a lot of influence.

"Come inside! You're a little early, my friends! Lenia and Alice are still dressing up. Come and sit down!"

Alice is his wife, she is a very beautiful woman with shoulder-long, brown hair. She's got pretty green eyes and she always wears flashy dresses.

" So, how are you feeling Leo? Excited? Lenia is always fantasizing what she would like as her soul weapon. She wouldn't sleep last night because she was so excited."

"I can understand why she would be excited, I mean it's a life changing moment in our life, that will determine what way of career we will take. I'm also pretty excited, Uncle Marath." I said with a childish and excited expression.

I'm still a child in this world, so I need to act like one. Sometimes it can be really annoying.

"Good Morning Tom, Good morning Marylin and also good morning Leo. You all look good today." She said with her usual motherly and heartwarming smile.

She wore a long, green dress with a yellow flower patterns over it. It supported her elegant curves.

"Good morning to you too Alice. Where is Lenia?" My father asked with a smile on his face.

"I'm right here!" she jumped out from behind her mother "Good morning Leo, Uncle Tom and aunty Marylin."

She wore a blue, knee long dress, that looked really nice on her.

"Good morning Lenia. You look really good today." I said with a smile on my face. It wasn't a lie. When she's older she'll be really breathtaking.

She ran over to me, gave me a friendly hug as a greeting and said "Thank you, Leo! You also look good today! I think I never saw you with such clothes."

I was wearing a grey jacket with a light gray shirt underneath. I also wore black pants which match with my black hair.

By the way, in our mirror at home I saw myself for the first time. I have the black, messy hair from my father. My eyes have a grey color which confused me a bit because neither of my parents have grey eye colors. All in all, I think for a ten year old, I'm pretty attractive.

"Thanks. I didn't really want to wear this but mother forced me to." I said while making an embarrassed face. I heard everyone chuckle a bit at my comment and my face.

"So, I guess everyone is ready now! Right on time. If we go now we will get there at the perfect time. Let's go!

-------

There it was, the ceremony hall. It's a big cathedral in the middle of the noble section. There were a lot of parents with their kids waiting for the ceremony to start. Lenia and I are gonna be one of the last one's, so we get our turn pretty late.

"Wooaahhh it's sooo big! And there are so many people here!" You could see the excitement and joy on Lenia's face.

"Yes, let's go inside so we can take a seat." Her father said while already walking toward the entrance.

"Daaad! Wait for us!"

We went inside, took a seat in the 11 row and the ceremony started a bit after.
