Chapter 3: Solira Darkstar (2nd draft)

The foot steps get closer and closer, louder and louder. Finally, the door whirs open and slides out the way, showing a figure. It is a woman, judging by the body shape, confirming everyone's thoughts. She stands in the door way for a moment before walking towards the bar on the other end of the room from the door. She is wearing what would usually be expected of a space traveler, linen like cloth shirt and pants, knee high brown boots, a brown, cropped jacket ending halfway down her stomach, some gloves, and a tool belt with a holster for a blaster pistol, basic smuggler get up, but she was also wearing a visor like mask the prevented other from seeing her eyes, it was a silver piece of metal with a red line going through the middle horizontally.

And, although she was a human, there were some things that made her stand out, she was 5 foot 10 inches, at least, and her hair, cut just above the shoulders with her bangs clipped back, although black in the dim lighting of the building, was actually a very dark purple, only distinguishable in brighter settings. Only a couple people knew that this was her natural hair color, those who saw her regularly in environments with more light, even if it was just one of the brighter rooms upstairs. Her skin was of the common skin color found on humans across the galaxy, a bright tan, and her nails were black, also natural.

But what followed behind her, a little to her right, made even the bravest of those present feel fear, an IG series assassin droid, with a black paint job and red sensors that could move independantly of one another, to scan for threats, scanning the room, silently threatening anyone who dared look it in the eye, standing at 6 and a half feet, it towered over nearly everyone except the Trandoshan that stood in the corner of the room, which gave a silent nod upon making eye contact, as the two had a mutual respect for one anothers race, most sentiant IG droids admired the Trandoshans ability to hunt down their prey, and many Trandoshans respected the effectiveness and proficiency of the IG droids. The droid also carried a blaster rifle, but this one was special.

It had a short barrel, small stock, and a grip a couple inches from the end of the barrel, obviously made for close range encounters, but people who knew the weapons design knew it's more sinister abilities, capable of multiple types of munitions, and the ability to be reassembled with attachments for different purposes. A skilled user can shift it from a close quarters rifle to a sniper rifle in a little under thirty seconds. But this is a very rare model, very expensive to make and maintain, it costs about the same as lower end civilian space faring ships, requiring extra training for proper usage and the fact that the special as the special munitions are expensive, as well as being illegial since the Republic was in power and only being avaliable on the black market, it was never mass produced.

The droid and the human walked to the bar and no one dared draw attention to themselves, and only spoke in a whisper. this was due to both past experience and reputation. Her droid was extremely loyal, and was not a fan of people talking about its boss negatively, and was barely kept at bay by solira telling it that if she did'nt like it that she would take care of it herself.

The bartender looked up and unlike the others, smiled when he saw who it was, he was one of the origional crew, and they knew each other well, "Well well well, don't you look smug, when was the last time you smiled, cause you've definetely lost that streak, I was starting to " the old Besalisk was about to contenue until Solira cut him off, " I've found it Jambo, and this time, there is no mistaking it." the old man sighed, "That's what you said last time," "no, those where guesses, shots in the dark, looking for clues, but this time, It is there" "I see, so you're here to what brag about how wrong I was or something" "No, I  woundn't do that to you, okay mabye I would," correcting herself after seeing his blank stare, "But i'm just here to let you and the boss know incase you guys can't find me Jambo." " Fine, Boss isn't here though, i'll leave a note for you though." as she turned to leave, "you don't have to go alone one of us would go with you if you gave us the chance.", "Yeah sorry, you already know that answer, bye Jambo, and they left without another word"

When she was out the door, a look of amusement slowely grew on his face and suddenly called out, "Hey Rick, how good is that Twi'lek brat at hiding" "really good, actually, uuuuhhhhmmmm, where is she though," the man stopped looking around and started staring at Jambo, "Jambo, don't tell, me that she did that" Jambos eyes started twinkling and is he could smile, he definetely would be right now, "don't worry, she'll be fine" groans and looks of disbelief flooded the room and people began to fear for the young girl, but Jambo never lied, so they were relieved somewhat

What happened was, while everyone was fixated on the bar and Soliras conversation with Jambo, the young Twi'lek snuck right out the door and to a certain ship, Solira's ship.
