"I'm so bored." Hades dramatically said to himself while he lounged back on his throne built out of souls. He had been the keeper of the underworld for as long as he could remember, ever since his brothers betrayed him. However, the ruler of the underworld honestly didn't care anymore, after all, his power had risen by a considerably substantial amount by handling and processing the souls so often that he vastly outlived his brothers.
A lot of people would assume that cosmos level beings lived for eternity, but they would be wrong. You could only live for eternity if you had an immortality based power or somehow managed to break through the barrier known as the cosmos, which was precisely what Hades had done, he had broken that barrier, but now he was far too bored, despite his incredible power.
"Are you bored too, Cerby?" He cooed towards his pet, the three-headed dog, Cerberus, that was sitting on the ground not too far from Hades's throne. It just lazily looked at him before barking lightly with its middle head. It then put it's head back against the floor in a similarly lazy manner.
"Ha-ah...well I guess I'll just sort this centuries souls, nothing else to do." Hades grumbled with a pout as he started to send them where they belonged. He hadn't had anything interesting to do in the last few weeks. The most recent thing of note was when a soul labelled, Daisuke Tamiko, was summoned by a low-level cosmos level being to be her hero.
"Maybe I should just kill myself and enter the cycle of reincarnation?" He grumbled. All other Divine Level Beings would cringe in shock at this grumble. Hades was unique in the fact that he was the only Divine Level Being that was completely trapped in his duty.
Hades felt 100 percent obliged to do this, as the only world he felt a connection to was Earth and if he suddenly stopped working, then the planet would instantly fall into complete anarchy as all of the souls would roam it without a care in the world, no doubt.
"What's this?" Hades asked as he raised an eyebrow. One of the souls set to arrive for his processing never arrived at all. Even the hero's souls make a quick stop in Hades underworld, but for some reason, this one hadn't.
"Should I take this as a sign? I think I should. If something like this can happen, then why can't I stop living here and go join the mortals?" Hades had decided. He had decided to quit, and pass his work off to the system. The system was a being that was in charge of everything as far as Hades knew.
To do this, he immediately contacted the system as was his right as a Divine Level Being. The conversation went surprisingly well. For some unknown reason, even the system had experienced a change. It had started to speak instead of just using notifications. This had reignited Hades's desire to escape and live amongst the mortals.
"Cerby, you're going to have to make yourself look like an average dog. We're going to be living like ordinary humans now." Hades said as you could practically feel the new sense of vigour flowing from his aura. He was clearly excited that such a change had been allowed and that he could do something that he wanted to do for once.
Cerberus then stood up in joy and quickly transformed from his hulking three-headed form into a small and carriable grey husky. He was now very fluffy looking.
"Perfect. Now let's go life in the mortal world. Oh, this is going to be so much fun." Hades said as picked up Cerberus before his appearance also changed. He now had nicely slicked back black hair that flowed down to his waist, and his red horns had receded into his head. He was wearing a standard black suit, and his blue skin turned a pale shade of white. He then immediately disappeared.

A well-dressed man appeared in the middle of a construction site that was currently unmanned as it was nighttime. He was holding an incredibly cute husky that was constantly wagging its tail. He looked around a bit before quickly teleporting to a nearby and vacant road.
"Well let's have fun Cerby. Let's see what Japan has to offer us." He had said with a grin before he started to walk down the road towards the hive of lights in the distance that could only be the central part of the city. He reached the desired area after a roughly 1-hour long walk. Hades wanted to savour the experience.
Walking was also a new thing for Hades as he only needed to teleport to get wherever he wanted to go. Being a friend of the ruler of mana clearly had its benefits as he had no mana restrictions, everything was cost free so long as he stayed chummy with said ruler.
"So I guess I should learn the local language and customs here first." Hades had said to himself before he shut his eyes as he lightly stroked Cerberus's now fluffy fur. He opened them again after one minute or so. "That's better. I guess I'd better find a hotel while I wait for the registration bureau to open. There'd be no fun if I just created an ID for myself, now would there, Cerby?" Hades decided as he cooed to his pet to which Cerberus barked lightly.
The pair then made their way to a suitable hotel. It took them a while. Apparently, a lot of hotels in whatever city he was in didn't like pets, but once they had found one that did, Hades created a small sum of yen to pay for a room for the night.
"Oh I can't wait to get the day started tomorrow, it's going to be so much fun!" Hades claimed as he was lying down on the bed. He was acting just like a child in a candy shop, and he was, so to speak. It was his first time interacting with humans in a very long time. He sincerely hoped that he would enjoy himself.
Hades assumed he would as he had already been having an absolute blast. It didn't take too long for morning to come, so after a quick use of the device known as a shower, Hades made his way to the registration bureau. He could see a lot of people stopping to take photographs of him, which confused him. He apparently couldn't understand how ridiculously handsome he looked with his natural looks in a suit while he held an adorable husky.
"E-excuse me...m-may I pet your dog?" A small girl of maybe 13 years asked as she approached him. Hades was excited. Very excited. A human. A live person had spoken to him out of her very own will. The attendant at the hotel seemed less than interested in him, but this girl appeared to want to actually speak to him, even if only to stroke Cerberus.
"Of course! Feel free; he loves being pet, don't you, Cerby?" Hades said in a friendly manner as his eyes shouted for his pet to do it. Cerberus felt used. He felt bitter at the thought of being used as a medium for human contact. He did, however, let the girl pet him. She reached her hand out and started to stroke his luscious fur.
"Waa! He's so fluffy. Thank you Nii-san!" She happily thanked with a smile before she ran off to continue doing whatever it was she was doing. Hades was positively brimming with joy. He could already tell that he was going to love his new life pretending to be a mortal. After that, he soon reached the bureau. Inside he was asked to leave his pet outside, so he found a bike stand nearby and created a leash when nobody was looking before he tied Cerberus to it.
"I'll be back in a few minutes Cerby, so behave. Do no screw this up for me by eating someone. Are we clear?" Hades firmly ordered. Cerberus meekly nodded his head. Despite how much he loved eating the foolish mortals of old that invaded Hades's realm, he wouldn't just eat anyone. What did his master think of him?
After that, Hades made his way back indoors before lining up. As soon as it was his turn and he had stated his desire for a registration form, he sat down in a nearby booth to complete said form. He had been receiving a lot of comments in regards to his good look as a foreigner; he found it all very strange as his perception of beauty was not nearly as limited as the humans, but he did try his best to understand.
"Hmm...name? Well, for starters, what's a surname?" Hades asked himself rhetorically. He had no idea; perhaps he should just use one of his many titles as his last name. He didn't particularly care, but he had to choose something as it would seem that the box had to be filled in order to complete the registration form. Hades had no idea that he would encounter his first problem so soon after arriving. He was happy at the challenge that it presented to him.
