Humans reside and civilization continues to arise
In Year 2001, Countless Portals appeared and the invasion started.
Different Creatures was seen coming out in the Portal
Soldiers from all over the world starts to defend their territory.
However, Guns, Tanks and other equipment from the Modern world does not seem to damage the Creatures.
Countries started to fall until numerous armed people arrived holding Medieval weapons to fend of the monsters.
They successfully defended the land and continuously attacking and researching the portals.
Soon they were known as the Awakened.

Portals are still appearing. Nobody knows how and why they exist.
People started to build a Company which is known as the awakened agency.
Sentinels, Guardians, Oni, and Axiom are the top agencies that every awakened wished to be employed by them.
"Vel! It's your turn now!"
Rika shouted after she exited the room. They were in the Sentinel Headquarters to check if they are awakened.
Vel entered to room and was greeted by the Doctor
"Your friend is awakened if you wanted to know." -Doctor
"Yes she said it." -Vel
"Alright touch the Crystal" -Doctor as point out the Crystal
Vel stood up and walks toward the Crystal. He placed his hand on the Crystal.
After a few seconds.. The Crystal glows a dimming light
"Congratulations. You are awakened." -Doctor
"Thank you Doc." -Vel as he walks out the Door.
He was greeted by Rika and they waited for Eris to come out in the room.
Eris happily walks out in the room.
"I'm awakened!!" -Eris as she shouted with Joy.
"So three of us is awakened. Let's go to the final phase" -Rika
Three of them walked to a room for the final phase.. The Classification.
"I think this is it." -Rika as they stand in front of the door.
They walked in to have the final phase done.
After a few hours. Classification was done. All three of them went to the Cafeteria. Card and an Integra was later given to them. They are now a licensed awakened.
A Card for authentication to show that they are a Licensed Awakened and Integra is to show their Stats, Maps, and More.
"Goodnews! I'm an A Rank awakened!" -Eris as she boast her rank to Rika and Vel
"I'm an A Rank as well" -Rika as she smirked to Eris
"What's your Rank Vel?" -Rika and Eris and stared at Vel
"I uhm.. F Rank" -Vel as he puts his head down
Rika and Eris stared blankly
"He's Joking" -Eris
"Yeah" -Rika agreed
"No.. I really am an F Rank" -Vel
Rika and Eris started to look at his info on his Card. Eris looked at his Integra and checked Vel's Stats

"So you are really an F Rank" - Eris with a plain face
"A low stats.." -Rika
Both of them lost their smiling faces while looking at his Stats
"I think I'm going to go home for now." -Vel
"Vel.." -Rika tried to reach his hand but failed
Vel left them at the cafeteria and went home.
"How's the eligibility test?" -Sel
"Yeah.. uhm.. It went well.." -Vel as he starts too cook never showing face to his Sister
After cooking he placed the food on the table and goes to his room. Sel just stared at him worrying but she think she knows what's happening.
Vel sat down on the bed and stared at the window of his room
"Even in this Job I'm still useless" -Vel as he whispers to himself
"How am I able to afford the tuition and our everyday life if no agency is going to hire me" -Vel stuttering in his words

Eris and Rika came to Vel's house to know if he's okay. But they were greeted by Sel
"Hi little sis. How's Vel?" -Rika with an obvious face of worrying
"Brother is in his room since he came back from the test. Did something happen?" -Sel
"No not at all. Don't worry about it." -Rika
"Brother is not going out in his room since he came earlier morning." -Sel
"I'm sure he'll be okay. Your brother is a strong man." -Rika as he patted Sel's head
"We brought you food. Tell Vel to eat up and contact us once he left his room okay?" -Eris
"Will do Sister Eris. Thank you for the food" -Sel
"We'll go home now Sel" -Rika she patted Sel's head before leaving
"Take Care sissies" -Sel as she waved goodbye
Next Morning Vel woke up early to start looking for Agency to hire him.
Unfortunately none of them accepted him. He can still go sign in to enter a portal without an agency however, Portal clearing needs to have a minimum of 4 members before you can enter. It's the benefit that the agency offers.
"Please Sir.. I'll do anything.." -Vel begging the man in the Agency
Vel still tries to look for an agency and he's starting to lose hope.
Meanwhile, Rika and Eris easily found an agency.
Rika was hired by the Sentinels and Eris went to the Axiom
They already made a debut and easily beating the portals one by one.
Leveling up is an easy feat for them
Vel is looking for an agency for months now but to no surprise no one wants to hire him.
He went home and saw a Man in the house
"S-Sir" Vel Surprised
"Vel.. I'm sorry but I need you to leave the house." -Landlord
"S-Sir give me one more month please.. I promise to pay you next month in full!" -Vel with a teary eyes
"Enough Vel. I know it's hard but its been four months now. I need money to feed my family as well" -Landlord

Sel ran towards him crying and hugged him

"Don't worry about me.. I'm okay as long as I have you.." -Sel

Next morning Eris and Rika went to Vel's house to visit him and they are surprised that an unknown person opened the Door.
"Hi. You are?" -Lady
"My name is Rika. May I know where Vel is?" -Rika with a Confused face
"We don't have a person here named Vel. But I think that's the previous renter. You can ask the Landlord" -Lady
Eris and Rika stared at each other. They went to the Landlord's house next door and knocked
"Hi. How can I help?" -Landlord
"Do you know where Vel is?" -Eris
"Oh Vel.. I kicked him out yesterday since he's not paying the rent for four months now." -Landlord
"By any chance do you know where he lives now?" -Rika
"I don't know. But yesterday he told that they don't have a place to go to" -Landlord
"Okay thank you" -Eris
Both of them are worried as they can't contact Vel or Sel.
Vel and Sel now lives in the streets. No house as they can't afford to rent one. It's been a month since they started sleeping in the streets.
It is currently raining and they went to a closed store to seek shelter from rain. Vel is currently suffering from depression as they don't have anything on hand. Not even food, Money, nothing..
Before that day he got listed in the party to clear a small portal.
He's a completer to the party since one of their members is currently out right now. The share is not that bad since it's a small portal.
He just looks at Sel carressing her hair while she's asleep.
'One day Sel.. One day we will have a better life' Vel saying it on his mind
Morning arised and a start of Vel's first mission as an awakened.
"I'll be back Sel okay? Be a good girl and I'll comeback to you really fast. I'll bring home some food as well" -Vel to his Sister
"Okay. Be sure to be safe. I'll wait for you." -Sel as he hugged Vel
"I will.." -Vel faintly smiles to Sel and leave for the mission
Vel meets up with the others. He's the weakest of them all and he knows that.
"So you're the completer huh. Sign this up and make sure to read all the Details" -Captain of the Party
"Yes Sir." -Vel signed up the contract
The party is prepared, Vel carried all their bags and they went inside the portal.
They checked the area and it was a dark cave. Mostly Goblins and trolls lived in this kind of habitat. A low level monster.
They walked deeper and deeper and they suddenly stopped when they heard footsteps.
The party consist of four awakened. A Healer, Tank and an assasin. Vel the fourth member as the carrier of their bags.
Multiple Goblins appeared in their sight. Vel had no choice but to drop their bag and bring out a rusty sword which he got in the dump.
Goblins rushed to attack them and the party successfully defended. They attacked the Goblins back killing some of them and Vel on the other hand is dodging the attack of one Goblin. He tried to attack but the goblin easily blocked his attacks.
'How come I can't kill it? Am I too weak for Goblins?" Vel as he thinks while panting.
Vel ran to the Goblin who was about to swing his club bu Vel dodged it by sliding through it using his knee and stabbed the Goblins nape resulted in an instant death.
'I killed one!' as he's sensing joy.
Vel checked his other party as they finished killing all the Goblins.
"Good work everybody. Portal is going to close. Let's move out now" -Captain
Vel and the party moved out safely from the portal. Captain giving their rewards to the party.
"Thank you Sir. Uhm.. if you need a completer please count me in next time. I'll do anything" -Vel
"The agency will contact you once we need a completer" -Captain
"Thank you" -Vel
Rest of the party left the site leaving Vel alone.
He is staring at the money from his share. It's not that bad as a completer and immediately ran to buy some food for Sel.
Vel saw Sel sitting in the streets obviously waiting for him. He immediately walked to her and gave her the food.
"Surprise!" -Vel he shows the food he bought for Sel
Sel's face immediately lit up and went back to worrying as he saw some bruises on Vel's body.
"Why? What happened?" -Vel
"I'm worrying! I don't care about the food! I don't care about anything else! I just don't want you to get hurt or worse die.." -Sel started to cry
"I'm not going to die Sel. I promise you that.." -Vel hugged Sel and tried really hard to hold up his tears.
Vel continues to be a completer. He's used to the share he's receiving from the missions. He is starting to get known as the side guy because of being a completer but he doesn't care as long as he can save up and provide food for Sel.
For him.. Sel is the Reason why he's still grinding..
Vel came home after a mission as a completer. He bought warm food for Sel as it is currently raining and cold. He saw Sel and a woman with an umbrella.
"Vel" -Rika
Vel just standing there with his head down ashamed of what he's become..
"Why didn't you tell us?" -Rika
Still no answer from Vel
"It hurts to see that you and Sel is living like this. WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US?" -Rika as she started crying
"I'm your friend Vel.. Atleast let us help you.." -Rika as she starts to approach Vel
"Most of my life since mom passed away I've always been relying on you and Eris. I'm a useless person and yet you stick with me" -Vel
"Because we are your fr--" -Rika
"Friend? Don't make me laugh.. I know that deep in your heart you wanted me to disappear." -Vel as she stared coldly to Rika
"That's not true!" -Rika
"Stop with the bullshit! I heard your parents when we were in middle school. I know that they don't want me to be your friend. I always knew Rika that I'm better alone than being with you guys." -Vel
Rika just stared at Vel with a teary eyes as she can't believe to what's she's hearing
"Please.. Stop helping us anymore. Tell Eris that too.." -Vel
"I want to take atleast Sel to live with me. She don't deserve this" -Rika as she firmly stated it.
Vel stared to Sel waiting for her sister's answer..
Sel approached Vel
"I want to be with you. I don't care if we live this way.." -Sel
Vel started to cry and fell on his knees.
"Sis.. I'm sorry but I want to stay with him" -Sel
"I understand" -Rika as she walks away..
