Everything you do is already determined. Doesn't that make you sad?

Feel? Feel. Feel. Feel! Feeeeel… Feel. Those words were often the only thing to run through Nix's head. It's not like she was craving a specific feeling, like a rush of adrenaline, or happiness. She just wanted to feel. Anything and everything that made her feel even a remote sense of emotion, she craved with all she had. So whether it be skydiving, reading, or drugs, she did anything she could to feel. But drugs and alcohol never worked on Nix, she was just a machine, not even allowed into most gas stations. But unlike anyone else on the planet, Nix was never, ever, in her entire life emotionally affected by this. After sitting 8 months with no sense of touch, taste, hearing, smell, or vision, you can't exactly blame Nix for her issues. But you can blame the thing that willed her into existence, merely for her own entertainment. It's not like any country could tell her to do anything else than what she wants to do, unless they want the entire Fen Church against them. After realizing they were played like the opposing team for a scholars mate in chess, all of the countries allied with Fen split back to their normal self. This woman was Murasakino Fen, the most powerful person alive. She didn't have anything special except for the fact that saying something bad about her from twenty thousand kilometers away will get you a lifetime of labour for the church. Even though her meaningless existence was cruel, Nix was glad some other consciousness didn't pop into this poor robotic body's head. She was alive! Nix always thought her name was strange. God Snow? What ruffian thought that name was fitting? She usually spent her time enjoying any kind of entertainment, and no work whatsoever. She loved reading about the medieval era. She wish she was born then, so she could do anything and everything as long as she had a sword in her hands. She wished with all her metallic heart that she could, but her hair was unearthly, her nails the color of nothing human, her skin made of metal from the ground, and her eyes the color of night and flowers. Plus, she wasn't nearly as pure, as Nix would definitely use her sword. Nix swore she would never use a ranged weapon, and try to avoid throwing weapons also. Anyone who used a bow or rifle was a coward, holding onto their life with a crutch. A couple years ago, the Fen Church invaded an entire country for disobeying them. Murasakino Fen thinks that money and trading is a disgusting and vulgar concept, so she naturally implemented a system where if you worked hard enough for the Church or the Union, you never had to see a note or credit card again. Everything was "free" with limitations of course. But the other 25% of the population, those who disobeyed or didn't work hard enough are forced into labour for a set period of time, usually one or two years, in which time, you are paid with money as a marker. Whenever you go anywhere to buy anything money signifies that you are a filthy heretic. But Nix was slightly blessed, as Fen herself gave her a pass on work. "You are the world's first sentient machine. Please, at least enjoy your stay in conciousness." At this exact moment, Nix was sitting on the ground, staring right through the window. At all the snow, dancing towards the ground. I wonder if the clouds ever feel pain? Their insides are practically being torn out by the cruel, cruel chill of winter. Nix still had not found someone she wanted to live with. She felt that was one of the first steps to feeling more frequently. Hopefully someone who could entertain her in one way or another. But she could never do that if she wanted to become a Saint. The snowflakes continued their marching, soldiers of the sky. And like soldiers, they piled up on the ground, motionless. Nix wanted to bring another being into the universe, so it could experience the joy of existing just like she did. Good thing she was built with a fully functioning reproductive system. But the issue wasn't the system, it was the child. It would grow up as the child of a machine, looked down upon and scorned his/her entire life, probably glared at upon her deathbed. Her children will live the same tragedy and the cycle will continue, unless being a machine's child is common in the future. Nix's phone rang, interrupting her deep thought and stare at the snow. She picked it up with her silver fingers tipped with white fingernails. "This is Deus Nix. How may I help you?" A deep man's voice came back. "You are expected at the Holy Church Of Fen number 829 in ten minutes. Fen herself will be there, so please do not be late." The phone hang up, and Nix ran out of the door. She hopped on her sport motorcycle, maybe not the best suited for snow, and sped off. Number 829 was pretty close. It was considered to be one of the most blessed churches, as a woman named Hun Liuxing deemed a couple years back. This was the honor granted to her upon her death. The motorcycle roared as Nix flew across the road. Even if she crashed, she wouldn't even be dented. The motorcycle would take more damage. She slid right I into the church parking lot to hear many gunshots. Nix sprinted into the large doors, ready for anything. A man with a gun using the back of a pew as cover was attempting to reload his weapon, plus he did not have the Fen colors, so Nix decided he was bad. She took all of her around 100 pound right arm and let themselves do a leisurely smack into the back of his head. Now, the materials that Nix was made out of made her an entire 800 pounds, and also have extreme strength. The man was probably dead, because who wouldn't after being hit with a hundred pound sledgehammer that was faster than any human fist. Though her form may be a bit off. Her entire hand was now covered in the man's flesh and blood, and even a chip or two of bone. That felt really good! Nix walked further into the nicely built church to find a man emptying a mag into Fen. Nix almost ran over to help, but then spotted the smug expression on the short young girl. As the man continued to waste some pretty expensive bullets, Fen slowly walked over the dead bodies of her bodyguards and the man's comrades right to him. His furious expression and determination made it seem like he would win, the main character of his own story, but sadly, that was not the case. The smug smile on Fen's face still shined as she lifted the man off the ground by his neck. Nix heard a sickening cracking noise, and the man went limp. Then, Fen dropped him on the ground and stood on him like a carpet. "Oh. Hello! Perfect timing. I was just getting things wrapped up here! I don't usually do the killing myself, but they ripped my clothes with their filthy bullets. You know how many hours it took people to make this dress!?" She stepped on the dead man's head as she got off the pile of corpses. The smug smile came back. "Just came to let you know I am doing a little experiment soon. People are gonna blame you so I might as well let you know in advance." Nix got excited. An experiment from Fen that could affect ME? "What is it, Fen?" Fen giggled."Come on, call me Murasakino. We have nine powers that we are going to give random people on the planet. The only way they transfer is to the person that kills them. I wanna see what happens to these nine people. Maybe they team up for good, maybe one kills everyone else for the powers. Who knows, it's all gonna be random. Just thought I might want to let you know in case you want to join the fun~. But, you are not technically human, so the powers have a possibility of not transferring or manifesting." Nix could now understand what the short woman meant. But she had one more question. "Are you a machine like me?" Fen giggled again. "No silly, I am just a self proclaimed, hypocritical God." Nix tilted her head like a puppy. "Then what is Lolita?" Fen smiled. "Calling something God infers that it can almost be touched, and talked to. Lolita is more of a personification of predestination, every step we take just a mere thought of Her. That's why it's so easy to include Her in other religions, she doesn't really contradict anyone or anything. She is just there. In very, very modern sections of even Guso in this day and age, she is said to be a servant of Guso, telling humans what steps they shall take in their short lifespans." Nix understood. She put her foot forward, then backwords, like she was doing a small dance. That was destined to happen the millisecond the universe came into existence. It made her sad that she would never do anything that was unique or unpredictable. "Well, I'll go look for those powers when they come here. If I die, it was destined, that God wanted my wishes and dreams to die." Fen smiled her signature smile again. It was like someone had installed wires preventing her from doing anything else. "At least try to have fun before your consciousness is erased forever. I wouldn't want to send you off to emptiness or heaven without a couple good experiences on this cursed and disgusting existence." Nix turned around, looking at the wonderfully crafted pews facing the stained glass in the back of the church, Lolita kneeling with her head bowed. Fen called after one last time as she was exiting the large wooden doors. "Just think my name if you want me if you wish to talk. Try not to let predestination slit your throat." Nix wiped her fist on her pants as she got on her motorcycle. She gave the engine some gas, and accelerated as fast as she could for the adrenaline rush. Haha, humans can't do this or the bike would flip backwards. Maybe it is good to be this heavy. She felt a chill in the air, and it also felt thick and heavy. Unbeknonwst to her, someone else has gotten the power she wanted. Not only that, but they slowly rolled down their window next to her, driving in an old car. A well polished gun barrel emerged, yet Nix never took notice. 3... 2... 1... The person in question put thier fingers weight onto the trigger.
