Yvonne and Mirac were not looking at the flying operator with the tiny yellow wings - which looked exactly like the watch. Their expression turned blue and pale as they heard the fluttering. The air got cold - and the sun slowly disappeared behind the mountains, making everything darker. The watch glowed, turning to each of the siblings.
“I like you guys. It is not something I am allowed to say - but this temple has probably another portal to the heavens. It is somewhere as this is a temple harboring heavenly artifacts,” the executive said. Mirac and Yvonne walked closer to the operator as he flew deeper to the ground.
Yvonne grabbed the small thing, almost looking like she would crush it in her palms again by her annoyed expression. She did as small cracks showed all over the watch. Mirac saved the operator as he handed it to her, turning in the other direction. He pushed her head away, listening closely. Yvonne grits her teeth, and they both look like they are about to quarrel again. The watch watched them nervously - even though it had no expression as the executive cleared his throat again. “Well, like I said, the temple is old, almost 5000 thousand years - and we left it that way because it has strong demonic magic. Angels are afraid of too strong demonic magic - so they signed a contract to leave this temple be. Fifty of us lost our wings. That is why you two come into play. Like I said, this is a sick game for the higher-ups. They get the temple back - and one of you dead. But I was in the temple once. If I remember correctly-”
The voice line got cut off. Something happened with the noise and what happened at the place where the executive was.
“What are you doing?”
It was not the voice of the executive.
Mirac widened his eyes as he looked at the watch. It changed colors to a deep grey. Usually, it changes colors when another person holds it as it matches the energy. Yvonne tilted her head.
“Executive? If you are still alive, answer please,” Yvonne spoke calmly.
“Shit. The higher-ups want us dead,” Mirac whispered to Yvonne - who took a good look at the watch. The watch acts like the person it is holding. The watch is flying rather calmly and hypnotic.
“I do not think it is the executive anymore. But hey, whoever you are, I will rip your head off if I find out who you are. The executive better be alive,” she said, shouting at the watch. Mirac did not hold her back as he nodded with her. There was a sinister laugh behind the operator before it flew away from their hands. Mirac and Yvonne widened their eyes as they looked at each other and then at the flying watch, disappearing at the horizon.

They made it inside the temple. There was a long hall that looked like the cellar of a castle - but the flames were still burning inside. They walked calmly through the gate. It was half worn down and falling to each side.
There were still traps like magic portals and stone soldiers. They did not have another chance but to run towards the temple gate, leading directly inside.
The stone statues pushed Mirac down, but he was already too fired and warmed up by just having his temper-hungry sister beside him - who ran towards the gate while shooting black beams. She pulled Miraac with her.
They looked at the temple in front of them. It was a large temple with four pillars of white stone and plants surrounding it. It had cracks all over it and some domes which had cracked holes. It looked old and plain, not so much of a threat, but the moment you tried to fly, something shot from the ground, and all you could see from the slightly gritted windows was darkness. There were fires here and there - but they showed only an empty long hall, making it feel like a labyrinth. The insides looked more spacious than the outside.
They went through the main gate directly in the temple and closed the door behind them.
Mirac huffed, widening his eyes as even his armor looked on the verge of giving up.
“What if something else inside will kill us?” Mirac asked, looking at his sister confused as she closed the door behind them. He followed orders at the moment, but Mirac did not push it with all his strength as part of him was still unsure.
The stone soldiers were aggressive, trying to claw their way in. Mirac huffed as he could not help but stare at them. He fought other angels and halflings in the heavens - and they all had weak spots. Angels could bleed but heal fast. Without their wings, sometimes they were useless. But he saw some angels die in the most gruesome ways.
The image of a brown-haired boy with bright eyes came to his mind as he called Miracs name with a smile.
The sun shone brightly in the heavens as Mirac walked with Hamza down the halls, scaring the two boys away - who looked hesitant to talk. They were always like that at the academy. Some cruel rumors went around about Miracs and Yvonne and who their “mother” was.
She was a cruel woman, knowing no boundaries and slaughtering multiple angels in her lifetime.
One of the kings and traitors of the heavens fell in love with this woman. The woman pleaded to spare her. She left the cathedral, leaving her two children behind.
“You could smile like that often,” Hamza said as they walked down the cafeteria. Mirac turned to the boy, raising his brows. What was he talking about? Hamza laughed as he put his arm around Miracs shoulder. “You´re different than the rumors,”
“Yeah? What do the rumors say about me? That I´m a demon with cursed blood?” Mirac whispered the last part - but Hamza could hear every drop.
He chuckled again.
