Marlo POV
'Idiot...'
He had always wanted to kill that arrogant bastard. But, the time wasn't right. Now that he had the perfect chance of course he would strike.
He looked at the fruit greedily, with Tye gone, Brad and the girl exhausted from the fight. The fruit was basically his.
With the fruit, his strength would increase substantially and he would easily rise in the ranks of the guild.
...
Zod raised a brow when he saw the situation change. He had not paid much attention to the dagger-wielding youth but it seems like he was the most dangerous of the three.
The shield-wielding youth, Brad tried to resist but was too tired from the fight and got killed easily. Now, only the girl remained.
Zod watched all this indifferently, it would be best if they ended up killing each other but he knew that it was impossible. The girl had a pale face due to MP depletion but was still indifferent about the situation, she must have a trump card and Zod did not want to end up dead because of his impatience.
As expected, the girl took out a golden scroll from her robe, the scroll disintegrated and condensed into a golden arrow. The girl nocked the arrow and aimed it at the dagger-wielding youth.
Swoosh!
The arrow was incredibly fast, the youth tried to dodge but the arrow changed its direction on its own and hit him right in his chest. The arrow pierced through his heart and he couldn't be more dead.
Zod frowned when he saw this, even with his high Sprit he would not have been able to dodge that arrow. His agility was just too low.
He had been thinking of focusing his points on Spirit but he realized that without a strong body even if he could perceive the attack he might not be able to do anything about it if his body was too weak.
Thankfully, he realized early and would be able to fix his body with a few level-ups.
Zod put his thoughts away for the moment and focused on the situation, with only the girl remaining, it was easy for Zod to snatch the fruit from her.
He did not feel bad about taking advantage of the situation, as an orphan, he had learned it the hard way that if you couldn't protect something it was only because you were weak. The strong would prey on the weak, especially in Grim.
After using the scroll the girl's face became even paler but she remained Indifferent, she slowly walked towards the fruit intending to pluck it.
A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
Zod saw this and deactivated his stealth and walked out from the shadows.
The girl stopped and glared at Zod, her Indifferent expression finally crumbled. she really did not think that there would be a third party involved.
Naomi POV
'Dammit!'
'To think that I would fail to notice a third party, he must have a stealth skill'
She quickly used her Spirit and inspected him.

She had no mana left, so she couldn't create arrows. Although she felt tired because of mana depletion, she still had full HP. It wouldn't be difficult to defeat him, or so she thought...
After taking out an Inferior Dagger, she tensed her muscles and got ready to fight. But, she just looked into his eyes and instantly felt her entire body tremble in fear, she could hardly get used to the feeling and he had already moved.
...
Zod looked at the Indifferent girl taking out a dagger and getting ready to fight, and couldn't help but become speechless.
Shouldn't you rest for a bit girl? Why are you so fierce?
Zod looked at his dagger and analyzed her information.

Her HP was greater than his, and looking at her stance she seemed to have learned some kind of Martial Arts, so her strength and Agility were surely higher than his. But, Zod did not care he locked his eyes with hers and instantly felt her getting flustered, he moved in a zig-zag manner and slashed at her shoulder, intending to finish the fight in one move. He did not plan to kill her, since she hadn't offended him in any way. So just subduing her would do.
But,
Ding!
The sound of weapons clashing rang out and both Zod and Naoi took a step back.
Zod stared at the girl with a surprised look, she managed to block it?
How interesting, he had thought it was some random Martial Art but it seemed like it wasn't much weaker than his, and she also seemed to have more experience than him, her Agility must also be much higher than his.
Naomi POV
'Damn it!'
She had barely managed to block that attack, if it were not for the instincts she gained from her time in Grim she would have lost her hand.
She was already feeling weak added with the strange skill which made her feel fear for the first time in her life. This is was going to be a hard fight...
