5: Star Princess Helena
- Star Princess POV -
I hate them, I hate them all. They killed my elder brother, my mother. Why? Why did he do this, do we meant nothing to him, does that thing is so important. Even her, how could I forget her. My brother loved her, he could give everything to her but she, she betrayed him. She was the reason for his death. She was the reason for all our sufferings. Her sweet talks were nothing but poison.
I don't know for how long I have been running. The blood in my hands was really too thick and they will find me soon. The Heaven's Soul Poison was acting up and my astral body started to fade up but I finally got the thing which can kill him. I look up at the shiny pearl in my hands. This was the crystallization of spiritual veins and the magic core of the most fearful and powerful being that once almost destroyed the entire God's plane, 'God of Elements'.
I have to find it, Heaven's Soul Poison has started affecting my soul. They said only that artifact can save me or I go to the one who has poisoned me but that's impossible.
Only God of Elements is said to possess that artifact thus I move toward the plane that he has first created 'The Elemental Plane'. My body is at its limit. I can't die now. The revenge for my elder brother is still pending and my death is all they want. I use the power of crystallization pearl as I apparate on the Elemental Plane.
I was lying on the ground, the apparition has spread the Heavens' Soul poison into my veins and given me an internal injury. The pain is becoming unbearable. With great difficulty, I opened my eyes and what greeted me is the face of a small child. I have killed children before, it hurts at the start but in the times of war it all becomes obvious. The child is only a mortal but what surprises me is the minuscule plane energy leaking from him. Plane energy can only be cultivated by gods. They do not leak into surrounding and only remain bounded to gods. Then my vision stop at the pendant he was wearing.
'God's Poison Pendant' my mind screamed. One of the twelve divine artifacts that can control and detoxify any poison. This was the artifact that I am searching for to detoxify Heaven's Soul poison. I was happy but then notice that artifact has bounded to the boy and even if I kill him it will disappear with his soul. Only he has the right to give or use it.
As I was defining the plan to take the pendant away from the boy, he suddenly shouts loudly "Mummy".
I was left blank for a moment. Did I look like her mother, maybe I can use it to get the pendant willingly.
"Come here kid," I said in a sweet voice while trying very hard to plaster a smile on my face.
The boy showed a determined expression and move towards me.
"Can you give me this pendant?" I asked politely and bend towards him.
The boy smiled and removed the pendant from his neck but then suddenly shove it at my chest with full force. The green light shines in my eyes and my astral body which was on the verge of breaking starts burning. I screamed with the pain.
"AAAh.."
I open my eyes and found that I was floating in a space. There were clouds and a sky above me and ground covered with grass beneath me. The Heaven's Soul poison which was repressing my strength seems to be weakened. I then understand that I was inside God's Poison Pendant. My astral body was almost destroyed, so thus to save my life the pendant absorb my soul into its world.
This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.
The Heaven's Soul Poison is regarded as the most lethal poison which appeared in the time of chaos with the elixir of life. It is the only poison that can kill a god and even destroy their soul. The poison is a taboo among gods and as precious as the elixir of life. The only known cure for it was the drop of chaos river from which it was originated whose last few drops only remained with him. Even after taking the drop it consumes its bearer every bit of spiritual energy and leaves them unconscious for years. The other cure was the God's Poison Pendant which only appears in myths. It can detoxify Heaven's Soul Poison without consuming a bit of spiritual energy.
For most of the time, I have to remain in deep sleep to increase the strength of my soul but was able to observe outside world from time to time. I found out that the boy was a son of a noble house and his mother do look somewhat like me. His name is Evan Astrye and unlike his brothers and sister, he has trash spiritual veins and a magic core which he and neither of his parents know yet.
I sometimes see him doing training in the night and trying his very best in cultivation but due to limitations of his spiritual veins his aura never improve from a human realm cultivator.
One day, I wake up due to a sudden change in the environment of the pendant. I saw the clouds have turned dark and the green ground has turned black. It was only possible if its host is in great grief.
I look outside and found that the boy was crying. He never cries, I have never seen him crying but today its look like he has seen something bad or something bad happens to him. I sigh, handling a child was a very new experience for me. My soul has strengthened but going outside will make the poison act up. I remember my elder brother always console me when I was sad thus I decided to hold a conservation with the child.
"Don't worry child everything will be fine", I said in a sweet voice.
He got up and looked vigilant.
I decided to appear in front of him in my soul form.
He stumbles back on the ground and look towards me and shouted "Mummy".
This was like last time, he still considers me his Mummy. Yeah! I do look somewhat like her mother but I am still very young and so I decided to talk in clear terms with this child.
"Listen, I am not mummy. I am the princess of Star God Plane 'Helena' "
He looks somewhat skeptical but at the end decided to believe me.
I told him that I was poisoned and the pendant is a divine artifact in which I now reside to detoxify the poison. I even told him that I was impressed by his hard work which I really was and if he takes me as a master and helps me to create a new astral body, I would give him some of my powers. Then he can really have whatever he wants in his life.
By expending some time outside the pendant, I can feel the Heavens' poison started affecting me again. I finally told him that I would not be able to meet him for next two years and he has a magic core, until that time he has to learn some spells and then can make his decision to take her as master.
-Hero POV-
"Listen, I am not mummy. I am the princess of Star God Plane 'Helena' "
So you are saying that you were a princess before mummification, that's a common knowledge.
I know the pendant was special. The first time the mummy ask me for the pendant, I know it was something very important to her or something which could kill her. I decided to go for choice2 as 2 was my lucky number. To kill the mummy, you have to attack her heart with the artifact that could kill her (I don't remember where I learned that but its true). I shove the pendant on her chest with full force and she burned into ashes. 2 is really lucky for me.
My lucky number failed maybe they change after reincarnation. The mummy was only sealed in the pendant and waiting for the day to return back on earth2. She begins her life story, the usual villain stuff.
I got it, you were killed by the poison and then mummified. The pendant is the source of your power and now you want my help to get back your body also you promise me some power buffs that villains usually do, heck no.
It was all my fault for keeping the pendant as a mummy defeating trophy.
The good thing is that mummy does not consider me as a threat and even gave me a chance to join her mummified legion. I would really praise my act of a perfect low-key life and a perfect low-key aura. Now, I just have two years to find a way to stop the mummy and end her story forever.
The mummy's curse is a great deal of worry. She has awakened and her curse will surely affect me and my surroundings. As a superhero, I cannot throw away the pendant away and let the mummy unleash her wrath on some poor souls. I have decided after the capital city tournament, I will leave my home and walk away to the distant land. I will surely miss my parents and siblings but I can't let the mummy's curse harm them.
I remember one of the wisest note in my superhero rulebook.
Note#1
1. Superhero is the other name of sacrifice.
My story until now was just a prologue and now I really have some Superhero stuff to do.
