Eastern Continent

Alliance meeting

“sigh. I can’t believe that we are going through this again, I understand the need for an invasion but… I don’t think its the proper way to solve our problem” said an old man with white and long white beard reaching to his chest dressed in robes.

A young looking man replied “hahaha it would seem like the saying is indeed true after all being old makes one a coward. I even heard you participated in the invasion 800 years ago and earned enough fortune to create the foundation of your Mystic Puppet Sect”

“tsk tsk tsk. You are young and a fool if you think the mortal natives of the Centra- hm I mean the Continental Isle are pushovers, the battle back then was so massive and intense their Continent almost sunk to the depths of the sea, the fools old enough to survive that war and STILL want another invasion are greedy bastards hmp!”

“don’t be like that old man, my father sent me to butter you up and negotiate for you to participate in the invasion not only you are a senior veteran but your sect would bolster our numbers something that we lacked 800 years ago. So tell me what would it take for you to come?”

“it’s not that I do not want to join but… the native mortals would not sit by as we ransack their place, the Dwarves and Elves who rivals our strength have long prepared for our eventual return would surely fight with their full force before our main army even cross the sea and we’re not even talking about the Beast Kin supporting them. although they met on wrong terms they eventually allied themselves with them and pushed us back giving us serious casualties during the later stages of the war, how can you not learn from that”

“hehe old man you worry too much we have already planned for that we already managed to have a foothold in the Continental Isle a small mortal Kingdom called Lavant or something, they agreed to be servants of the Sword Cultivator alliance in exchange for our cultivation techniques”

“huh!? and the alliance agreed?” old man said shocked, because for countless years of cultivation their techniques are so strictly guarded that before being imparted to disciples they would be soul bound not to tell the techniques to outsiders and all of this is due to being their cultivation techniques in the Eastern Continent has the ability to increase an individuals lifespan to varying degrees of success.

The you cultivator smirked and said “yes, that’s right. During the war 800 years ago the mortals fought fiercely and even managed to bring us wonders like flying fortresses, flying ships made of metal and countless army of stone men fearless in combat and tireless in battle and more which was gone unrecorded, all of this we could have and all we need to do is make them live longer than the usual. We have already prepared a cultivation technique that specializes on their favoured Magic Knights that if cultivated could extend their lifespan for 100 years and could match the strength of a Nascent Soul cultivator… if practiced to the pinnacle…..heheahahahhaha!!!”

The old man replied in shock with a hint of disgust “A TRAP!? are you crazy!… only 100 years and Nascent Soul stage?… sure it is long enough that by the time they realize what have you done they would not be able to even do anything about it”

“yes exactly, and 100 years would be enough time for gather all of the mortals knowledge and secrets specially to those of the Dwarves with our cultivation techniques it would be impossible for those stubborn fools not to be tempted, even those Dwarves at least we know some of them are somewhat envious to the longevity of the Elves, outside of us cultivators only Elves and the Beast Kin has a natural life span that goes for thousands of years . But first we need to show our absolute strength by then everything would follow making them falling in line one way or another”

The old man clearly disgusted by the plan replied “sigh. I was also young once so bold and so ignorant of the world I remembered my self indulging in victory and honor from battles won but by the time I realized it most of my family, friends and even fellow disciples have all perished, I was a promising member of the Corpse Puppet Sect back then and with our techniques we bought enough time for our forces to retreat with ease I also managed to return with prizes like the Golems the mortals used that made the foundations of the Mystic Puppet Sect today, but all those wealth and glory has been bought with blood OUR blood”

“blood indeed. Your age shows you’re rambling old man, I hope I don’t need to remind you how grim our situation is? The dragon veins are already showing signs of instability without blood sacrifices we cannot repair them, even your Sect’s dragon veins have surely become unstable… there is no other choice if we wish to breakthrough to Immortal ascendant more easily and become a true Immortal” said the young man passionately

Strangely enough for a powerful Spirit Severing and sect patriarch like him is feeling dreadful every time he is inclined to agree with the invasion. “I did not survive this long without wisdom, something feels very wrong!… but I don’t know what!” the old man thought to himself clearly distressed

But in the end the old man said “even without dragon veins we can still cultivate via spirit stones, if I am not mistaken the natives of Continental Isle calls them mana stones which they were blessed in abundance even after by the partial destruction of their land, I would rather get my hand on those stones rather than bloody my hand with innocent lives all over again… hehehe young man trust me karma strikes when you least expect it . Return to your Sword Cultivator camp I would like nothing to do with this invasion… I have shed enough innocent blood to last me several lifetimes I am too old for this, perhaps if you live through this you will understand me young Musashi”

“what a complete waste of time! I am deeply disappointed in you sect leader, you know the price to those who will not participate” said Musashi completely stopping all signs of politeness

The Alliance meeting’s purpose was not to coordinate an assault like an army would, but rather to invite and convince others in a non aggression treaty, to designate which territory would belong to who and do some under the table deals. All factions big enough have been invited to this meeting there are also several individuals powerful enough to call themselves one man army, this invasion’s purpose is FIRST to cull their own numbers so that the useless would die and their blood will be added to the blood sacrifice needed to repair the dragon veins underground, and SECOND to kill the people of Continental Isle for again their blood, and THIRD for their resources… during the war 800 years ago the loot they gained from the Western Continent alone was such a huge profit, the Central Continent then was nothing more but a bonus.

Several nobodies back then has gained status and wealth there were even a handful of people who managed to break through immortal ascendant and gain true immortality and left this mortal plane of existence, but now due to the severe lack of resources to go around or rather having too many people the Eastern cultivators now needs to invade other territories due to one of their source of cultivation are in danger of collapsing namely the dragon veins.

The old man looked at the back of an angry Musashi storming out of his room “sigh… glory and honor huh, hmp! What a load of crap. In the end its all about greed that pushed things too far we may be long lived and called immortals but things couldn’t get any further from the truth” he thought to himself

Thinking about the payment alone already makes the old man’s heart bleed it had long been decided that those factions not participating in the invasion would have to at least send one eighth of their forces, just thinking about the lives of his disciples makes his heart ache even if they were just outer sect ones.

Continental Isle

Kaladia City State

The battle has begun on the front lines 50 miles away from Kaladia City and probing attacks makes for their opening move, there have been reports of outer villages being ransacked lucky for the commoners that they managed to relocate weeks before the attack.

And as everyone feared the Eastern Immortals have shown their forces currently being Body Cultivators who’s strength was known to shatter mountains, but by the looks of it they are not as strong as the stories tell or the strong ones have yet to show up.

Meanwhile Sera Hawke has begun digging deep down underground and mayor Dalton has indeed no lied, just 500 meters underground is a rich amount of iron ore and several other mineral nodes such as Granite, Quartz and even a little bit Control Crystals, with the war raging on Sera has begun an alternative… an escape plan and she would need a lot of materials for it to become even viable.

Deep underground the laboratory is in fact not just a structure but a centerpiece of the ship Sera has been planning to create all the while the Sentinels, the 50 Knight Golems have been working nonstop day and night to crank out more Skeleton Granite Golems. They may not be that powerful but with enough numbers it should tire out the invading force considering their only source of reinforcements is coming from another Continent.

“The foundations has already been laid soon the flying fortress would be finished… as long as there are no more disturbance in my work” she thought to herself as she observes the rest of her creations go to work on her behalf, if the Dwarves ever saw this sight they would probably piss their pants with their mouth agape after seeing the mechanical efficiency of the golems moving about complicated jobs like clockwork.

Worried Sera prepared to send five hundred Skeleton Granite Golems with Banshee relaying commands with the metal staff, strangely enough no matter what spell model or design Sera does she can only control five hundred golems at once with a staff. “If it were not my Sentinels relaying orders to golems would be a lot of a headache now that I think about it”

That afternoon the sight of five hundred Skeleton Granite Golems marching towards the city gates was indeed a sight to behold each of them wearing red capes designed with a jeweled crown with wings on the sides.

“h-hey are we under attack HEY guards look who’s are those!?” said and man panicking and not understanding what is he seeing

One of the newly trained guards unsheathed his sword and prepared to attack but luckily he was stopped by a senior before he lost his life.

“fools don’t you know that insignia!? that golem army belong to Lady Sera Hawke, she’s most likely sending the golems to the front lines to fight… make way!” shouted the senior guardsman

“wow five hundred golems at once! It’s like the old legends when people are more powerful than they are today and could move armies of golems like their own limbs, I have heard that Lady Sera also sent five hundred wooden golems to overwhelm her opponents a few months back during her mine explorations” exclaimed by another mage

The five hundred golems marched with great fanfare as commotions happened on each street they passed they were led and followed by guards to insure that no misunderstandings could happen like the one earlier followed by Banshee in cloaked on the sky holding to the control staff.

Sera controls and monitors the situation all through Banshee and relays the commands to the Golems, the skeleton Granite Golems ran day and night and covered 50 miles in just 2 days time, by the time the Golem Army arrived it was midnight. “I guess making them approach the defense line at this hour might be too much, we wouldn’t want friendly fire now would we” sera thought as she looked through the eyes of Banshee

“but it would be boring to just wait and have them stand here all night, I guess I’ll make my own probing attack… but I got to say it’s just like playing video games” she said to herself as she ate midnight snacks

Five hundred golems are not exactly the most stealthy units to be used in a night raid as Sera would expect, in no time the golem army was spotted by a company of patrol worth one hundred soldiers and a fight broke out as soon as they laid eyes to each other.

During the first clash the Lavant soldiers were the first to fall only after realizing their mistakes did they make a more appropriate formation but even then squires yet to be Knighted are not a match for golems or their weapons not coated in enough mana for that matter, though they manage to nick some of the golems it only made it easier to reach them.

It did not take long for reinforcements to arrive but the strange thing is there are only five people to arrive dressed in strange armours obviously not belonging to any of Laavant’s coat of arms

What’s more strange is that they do not even have weapons.

As Sera looked deeper to the identity of the five the more she realized that she may have punched a wall this time, Sera steeled her resolve by taking a deep breath to calm her nerves “its not like they can hurt me those five hundred golems are nothing more but canon fodders anyway. Come on fight! Fight! Fight!” she shouted pumping herself up

The survivors of the Lavant patrol were relieved at the timely arrival… of the Eastern Immortals “honored sirs please help a golem army has attacked”

A bald body cultivator said in disdain “hmp! I can barely feel any spiritual energies in those puppets and yet one hundred of you can’t even fight properly. Useless! Get the hell out of our way and report back to the camp!”

The surviving Lavant patrol scampered in fright from their would be rescuers, they clearly know that these eastern immortals look down and only see them as tools if not fodder for the front lines only the wizards and magic knights are within their sights.
