Ch. 1 - A Perilous Beginning

Monster Island. Present day...

Amidst one of the many green forests of Monster Island, three young kaiju are idling around a large gray rock below a Sakura tree. Two of them lying down on the rock, one standing beside it. With those reptilian tails... jagged dorsal plates down their spine... It is without doubt that these three hatchlings are Godzilla's descendants.

Gareth, the one with black scruffy hair and dark spots around his eyes, stood out the most among them. Both figuratively and literally, as he is the only one of them who is standing.

"How long will this ever last... I'm bored to death!" Whined Feinal, the youngest of the three, distinguished by his blue erect hair, and seemingly impudent demeanor. There he goes with one of his impatient tantrums, which seems to be what he is infamous for with the reaction of his brothers.

The oldest of them, Heisei, gave Feinal a swift bop to the back of his head, to which the latter responded with an ouch. "Give it a rest will you, Feinal?" And as expected of an eldest brother, Heisei acts as mature as every other Kaiju his age. "We're going to be kings after this, and you're not up for it?"

"I didn't say I don't want to be a king! I'm just saying we should be fighting monsters instead of just lying around." Feinal added, springing himself off of the rock and punching the air, as if shadow-boxing.

Heisei sat up and looked at his little brother with his eyes furrowed down in annoyance. "Haven't you learned your lesson yet, after we almost got killed by Kamacuras?"

As the two were arguing, Gareth looks up at the blue sky with hope. "I wonder when we will be able to live with humans..." He murmured.

That sentence alone was enough to silence Feinal and Heisei, and both of them turned their attention towards their brother. "If we showed up to them, they'd probably freak out. Y'know, because of what grandpops did."

"They wouldn't be scared of me, I'm a handsome man~" Feinal playfully asserted, going as far as fixing his collar and doing a duck face.

"I know, but... They seem like good people. I mean... All of the things we have now, our home, our life, came from them." Gareth added, crossing his arms and pouting a the fact that it wouldn't be so soon that they'd encounter the humans.

"I just wish that someday, we stop hiding and make peace with the humans..."

And just when Gareth had finished his sentence, a shrill scream echoes in the woods. Birds started flying away from the origin of the loud noise. The brothers are alerted by this, as they easily recognized the mechanical bellow.

"Gigan!" All three of them said in unison.

Meanwhile at the dome-shaped house that is the laboratory — the origin of the sound...

"Moguera! Moguera! The Doctor is in danger!" Panicked a small robot called Moguera, running around in circles with his caterpillar wheels. However, he was easily kicked away by a green foot, with a single sharp toe at its tip.

"WHAT'S TAKING YOU SO LONG?!" Shouted a tall, green and yellow cyborg that is the dastardly Gigan. With his metallic beak, he agitatedly screamed at a frightened Dr. Serizawa. "Don't you know what she will do to you when I didn't get ahold of them?!"

The doctor in return, yelped in fear and replied. "A-Alright, alright.. I'll give it to you!"

As if he didn't harass the doctor enough, he used his sickle-shaped blade for a hand to lift the doctor by his lab coat's collar. "You best be quick... Because I don't have to deal with those annoying runts this time--"

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

A small rock, seemingly appearing out of nowhere, was thrown towards Gigan's head. To his disappointment, he shook his head and looked towards the origin of the rock. There stood the three Godzilla brothers, standing on the rubble of concrete that was once the wall that Gigan busted through.

"Speak of the devils!" Gigan exclaimed.

"Hands off the doctor, Gigan!" Demanded Gareth, pointing at the cyborg monster.

"Gareth, run!" Serizawa desperately tells the Godzilla hatchling, but neither Gareth or his brothers never moved a muscle.

"Oh, I sure will... after he has given me what I want!" Coldly replied said cyborg monster, as he mockingly taunts the three of them with a beckoning sign. The floor behind him has started to fog, as from beneath it rose a cylindrical container slowly.

"Whatever it is you seek, you won't get it!" Heisei taunted back, his snouth shivering in anger as he snarls at Gigan. "Yeah, we'll sure kick your butt this time!" Feinal added, putting his fists up in the air and making circular motions with his fists.

"Just what do you want from us?" Gareth vigorously asked. Once the container has finished ascending, Gigan switched his sight towards it, as the container opens up to reveal what he was trying to take. A canister of cells emitting a luninous green glow.

"It seems you're in such a hurry to find out... Fine! I'm here to steal your precious G-Cells."

It is the first time the brothers have ever beheld the canister of G-Cells, so nothing but expressions of awe is seen on their faces.

"A highly protected biomaterial, extracted from your blood!"

Gareth furrowed his eyebrows, and asked with curiosity. "Our blood?"

"Yes... And we will put it to great use. For a goal you dumb earthlings wouldn't understand..." And after that, Gigan let out an unhinged series of laughter, before he throws the doctor across the laboratory. Serizawa was slammed onto a metallic machine, and wa knocked out in an instant. "HAHAHAHAH!! You'll never be able to fathom it!" And afterwards, he took the canister of G-Cells from the container.

"Doctor!!" Gareth, Heisei and Feinal exclaimed. All three snarled at Gigan, before they charged towards him without a second wasted from hesitation. However, before they could touch him, the cyborg monster gets engulfed in a glow of white, and vanished in thin air. The three younglings ended up tumbling to the floor with great force, but just enough that they would be able to recover from.

"He disappeared!" Heisei remarked, as he was getting up from the floor. Gareth stared at the smoke that was left after Gigan had seemingly vanished. "Since when did he learn how to teleport?"

The three of them immediately checked on the doctor, who is still unconscious. They tried to wake him up... But unfortunately... "He's out cold..." Gareth told his brothers, after he examined the doctor's state.

Suddenly, Moguera emerged from a pile of rubble, and started to erratically panic again. "Moguera! Moguera! Moguera! Moguera!"

"The doctor is in dire need of medical attention!" After the short burst of panic, the tiny robot ran towards the doctor in order to medicate him.

While Moguera is in charge of taking care of the doctor, Gareth and his brothers looked at each other. "We have to catch up to him." He said.

"But how? We can't catch up if he can do things like disappearing all of a sudden." Heisei commented, which suddenly gave Gareth an idea.

"There!" He pointed at a certain corner of the lab, where a box-shaped device is neatly placed on a platform. All three of them ran up to it to have a closer look. "Yesterday, I saw Dr. Serizawa use that, and he suddenly disappeared. Just like what Gigan did."

"Let's go give that birdface a beating!" Feinal said.

But Moguera hurried to them and said, "Warning! The teleportation device is not to be handled by any unauthorized personnel!" While waving its hands around.

"I guess we aren't authorized." Heisei said.

However, Gareth had already taken the device. "But we can't just let Gigan get away with it! We have to catch him. It's fine if we get scolded in the end... But I'm sure we can get home."

His older brother smiled. "I like the optimism."

"Warning! Unauthorized personnel has taken ahold of the teleport device! Initiating alert mode!" Moguera yelled, but before he can send the alert to Serizawa, the brothers have trapped him inside a backpack, where he can't escape.

"Moguera! Moguera!"

The brothers examined the device. It has a red button at the top, and a twisting mechanism at the bottom.

"Tokyo? New York? Seattle...?" Gareth reads the words surrounding a twisting mechanism on the device.

"Those must be the cities that Gigan will go to." Said Heisei.

The middle brother twists the mechanism around, and the arrow on it points towards each of the six cities displayed.

"I guess we can go to Seattle first." Gareth said, and then looked at the still unconscious Dr. Serizawa. "We're sorry, Doc. But we'll return when we're done."

Then, he presses the red button on the device. The three of them flickered momentarily, before disappearing in thin air.

To be continued...
